I had an experience here back in December of 2025, and it took me so long to share because of how uncomfortable I felt about the entire situation. I am young and used to not being listened to, but this visit took it to the worst possible level. Dr. Mabile has ignored my pain on multiple visits before this since 2022 and never provided any medication or numbing, but what I experienced with Dr. Illston can only be described as casual cruelty. She first left me in the room for over 45 minutes, then came in and out repeatedly, leaving for long periods. She also refused to re-prescribe me my birth control, which cost about $2.00 with insurance, even after I asked. She instead prescribed me Slynd (which they seem to be pushing lately), which costs over $200 even with insurance. During the pap smear "attempt," I was given no pain relief, and she ignored my discomfort and pain and tried to tell me that a tampon and speculum were the same size; therefore, this should be no problem. She also inquired about my sexual activity and virginity status, then recommended penetrative sex as a way to get used to the pain. Needless to say, her comments were extremely inappropriate and rude, bordering on discriminatory language. I would not recommend this practice to any woman of color or queer person, as they are not affirming or understanding in the slightest. Dr. Illston, in particular, should be fired. For such a medically invasive field, one would hope they'd be better, but practice does not care about you or your feelings. read more

Staff is very warm, patient, expressive, detailed. Very gentle and professional. Victoria 10/10!!! Her personality, I told her how uncomfortable I was....she changed that quickly!! Her type of care is top notch! In an hour I was seen and done. In an hour!! Which actually didn't feel like an hour. Have to pay for parking. Free up to 30 mins FYI. Clean office! This is my first time visit, had to go downstairs to get blood drawn, wasn't a success. Wasn't feeling the vibe anyway. Went back upstairs, Melinda, she drew my blood so quickly, I didn't have time to pass out! Lol. Overall great experience!! read more

Dr. Anderson was horrible. She walked in after my ANATOMY scan and claimed that everything was fine and then proceeded to talk about other testing which was fine but got upset when I proceeded to ask questions about the Anatomy scan. She stated she was in a rush and that she could only answer one more question. Which was rude, she did not ask me how I was feeling overall and seemed like she had something better to be doing. I continued to ask her if I would need a doctor's note for work due to the high physical demand of my job and she proceeded to say in so many words "you'll be fine", then handed me the lab orders and rushed out the door. Not telling me when I needed to make a follow up or anything. This was my first experience with her and I never want to meet with her again! I left in tears because I felt unheard and less than. read more

This was my first visit at this clinic today for my annual women's check up and I must say after entering I thought it was a hotel lobby! Very clean and sophisticated but comfy. Nice art on the wall and the smell was like being in a spa. I was excited to be there. The receptionists at the front had smiles, they were extremely welcoming and they don't yell your personal business about insurance and co pays over the counter. I was like WOW! When they called me to head to the back the nurse was kind and made me feel comfortable since this was my first time. She showed me where the rest rooms were but there is also a private changing room inside your appointment room which was super cool!. The doctor was actually the Dekalb County Doctor of the Year so immediately I felt like I had royalty on my side! LOL!! He had a holistic approach to things and was very funny! He assured me that all details can either be sent through a secured site online or via phone or i could just come back in and I could choose how I wanted to be contacted. He told me everything seemed great and he was looking forward to healthy living with me as his new patient. I have never even cared much about a doctor visit experience I usually just want to get in and out and never thought I would write a review but I was impressed. PLEASE fix your phone system!! It does not work properly. For ANY option it says it's not a valid entry. So if I want to press 3 to get an Rx refill, the system says, "3 3 is not a valid entry." If I press 2 to try and schedule an appointment, it says, "2 2 is not a valid entry". I have been trying to contact you all for SEVERAL DAYS to get a medication refill and there is NO option to speak to someone at the desk. My wife uses this facility, and I've been on some of her visits for ultrasounds. The facility is nice, but they are very much disorganized. Check in at the front desk, they put you in a room quickly, and then you sit there and wait for a doctor for 30 minutes up to an hour. It's really unacceptable. If they are overbooking appointments, they either need to increase staff or stop overbooking. It's not fair to the patient. If patients are being charged for no shows, these guys should be charged for being late. Late every time. Always late. Not good. read more

I will start with when checking in to your appointment you may have to wait up to 10 minutes past your appointment time to be seen. Front office staff are very unorganized. Felt very rushed by Dr.Cherry and it was my first time meeting her/being introduced to the practice. Had a few questions as this is my first pregnancy and was given short broad answers. The nurse I was seen with that did my intake form was visible irritated and unwelcoming. I have also tried to call the office over 4 times and the line is always busy and am forced to leave a voice mail for a call back and still have not been given a call back. I understand an office this big is busy, but it is very frustrating when trying to make an appointment. Would not recommend the practice. read more

Alright so where do I start! This our our first baby and Dr. Cherry is our OB. One thing I wished we've done differently is that doing more research on the doctors rather than the practice or where they deliver. We had 2 visits already. First visit the front desk lady was very nice but once we met Dr. Cherry... I felt very rushed through my appointment. Didn't even give me a chance to speak or ask any questions. I wanted to cut her off but was being respectful here. Seemed like she was busy and was ready to leave and handed us a folder of "information." She isn't a very thoughtful or a very kind Doctor to pick if you're having your first child! She's cranky I guess? Even when we saw our baby for the first time, Cherry didn't explain or give us a run through about the process instead she just shoved it up my hooha with no warning. 2nd visit... I had a list of questions since we didn't get a chance to ask them since she was in such a "hurry" or she just doesn't care. Once I asked them she probably looked at me like I was young and didn't know what I was doing. That is why I'm asking you the questions about pregnancy! Instead her response is don't worry about that now. We want to prepared of all outcomes and possibilities. Come on now... we are new to be parents! We are very excited! If you aren't excited or care about what you do maybe you're in the wrong field. On Dr. Cherry's bio said she had 2 sons of her own. Wish she would've thought about the first time she had her baby! It's new and exciting for every single new parent! UPDATE: visit #3 with Doctor Cherry. 3/23 coronavirus pandemic. I'm so done with Cherry! Mary was amazingly sweet during the ultrasound! Even though she expressed her daughters wedding wouldn't happen due to COVID-19. Well... my husband couldn't be there in the same room as the ultrasound! He didn't get to see our baby. We all are hurting and are affected in some way because of this :( after that my nurse (I wished I remembered her name but was ABSOLUTELY amazing!) Cherry came in after and of course... she's at it again. Ha. I was wearing a N95 mask and her question to me was why are you wearing that mask? I said well for my piece of mind, I also just cried during my ultrasound, to protect my baby and myself in anyway I can. He response was..., "You know those masks aren't effective right? They don't protect you." WOW. Thanks docs! Well according to the FDA they protect you from airborne particles and from liquid contaminating the face. It's already hard for all of us and a breath of some positivity would go a long way. Im already washing my hands constantly and being extra cautious with cleaning/disinfecting everything. Being pregnant during Covid-19 is already scary! And for all those soon to be mothers that I met in the waiting room sitting 6 ft from eachother... N ATL OBGYN is across Northside Hospital.... same parking deck FYI. Parking is kind of crazy now due to the construction. They do have a deck + regular parking, but the crew take up at least 50 spots. Insane. I mean.... if your wife is pregnant and you're dropping her off at the hospital across the street, I hope she waits at least 20 mins before giving birth, lol... because you'll have to really drive around for a spot. Lobby is fairly large - so many chairs! Make sure to check in & etc. My old gyno really made me mad last year & so I decided to find a new one. My colleague referred Rachel Burt to me. She's pretty friendly & kind. Has a huge smile on her face the entire time, lol - not sure if that's her personality or mainly for her clients, but her bubbly personality is cool to talk to and very calming while having an annual exam. Love Dr. Rosenberg so far, so he's the reason for the four star rating. I'm about 21 weeks pregnant and having to go through a completely new practice and deliver at a new hospital since our move. Dr. Rosenberg is attentive and thorough and spends as much time with you as needed. His nurse is sweet too. The Marietta office on Sandy Plains isn't as new and shiny as the one in the other photos here, but I do not have issues with wait time and it's close to my house. My one complaint is getting in touch with someone. I liked to think that using the portal would help to streamline the process considering calling in is what calling the President must be like; however, when I emailed my doc on the portal, I never got a response and had to call anyway. Most of the time the operator will pick up and immediately put me on hold for a duration of 3-5 minutes. Then I'm transferred to a voicemail box where I leave a message and get a call back sometimes quickly but sometimes hours later. If I have a simple question, this feels excessive. My last practice was not like this at all, so it's frustrating. We also had a snafu with getting my information to the specialist, so now I'm two weeks late seeing them. Blindly faxing records and not following up to make sure they were received is archaic and irresponsible when we're on a timeline. Overall, I am happy with my doctor, and I think that's most important at this point in the game; however, it would be awesome if they'd up their game on their communication style and be a little more approachable for their patients. read more

The front desk is friendly and recognizes me. I've had to get an emergency prescription and Cynthia is awesome! I was pretty much crying to her on the phone with morning sickness, in a closet at work (horrible!) and she was so kind. I was a new desperate (pregnant) mom and she showed me sunshine. They bring me back on time, I've never waited even 5 extra minutes. They are very organized. Insurance has been billed correctly and they even fought for me over a wrong bill with a lab. I go to the Northside location, which has a parking lot not a parking deck, which I like. There is a cost to park. Dodder has been my doctor since I was 15, I'm now 31 and having my first child. She's very intelligent, direct, and is happy to answer questions. She never makes me feel like I have a dumb question, in fact she encourages them. She does communicate directly, so I can see how some people take that as unfriendly at first, but I promise you she is friendly and kind! I prefer a doctor to speak of medical issues directly so just know that's her style. I've had some symptoms that could be larger issues in this pregnancy and Dodder never swept them under the rug. She got me tested, sent me to a specialist, etc. to see what was going on, which turned out to actually not be a big deal and we are watching it. What I'm getting at is she listens and ensures her patients are healthy and happy! read more

In person everyone is friendly enough. Trying to get someone on the phone is another story. Since day one filling my prescriptions and refills have been an absolute NIGHTMARE. I always get Cynthia at the marietta location on the phone who always seems to have a TERRIBLE attitude. If you hate your job that much do us all a favor and just quit. Horrible customer service. If you call to get a refill you will automatically be transferred to the nurses voicemail. They won't call you back unless you leave multiple messages stating that you have yet to receive a return phone call. You're basically left in limbo wondering if your prescription was called in. I've often had to call my pharmacy just to see if they've heard anything from my doctors office. The worst part is that there has been multiple times when I've had to go for days and weeks without having my medication. When you're pregnant and constantly nauseous and or vomiting around the clock going without your medications for extended periods at a time is a problem. I'm considering switching to a doctors office that respects and actually responds to its patients in a timely manner because this is ridiculous. Update: after my terrible interactions with the nurse named Cynthia (nurse at the marietta location) I began going to the main hospital location instead and I refused to speak with anyone other than nurses Yolanda and Cherelle over the phone. Nurse Yolanda and Cherelle were blessings to me and Dr. Anderson went on to deliver my beautiful healthy baby girl in October. read more

I'm a high risk pregnancy patient with many complicating factors, when I found out I was pregnant I was new to the area- and overall terrified. Dr. Dodder patiently listened to my long history and struggles with pregnancy in the past and we created a plan. I was seen often and followed closely. I was placed on bedrest in the hospital when things seemed to be looking troublesome. We made it to 36 weeks and I now have a healthy baby boy! after getting to know the whole team- Dr. Dodder, Dr. Cherry, Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Anderson- I cannot say enough good things about them! I do not recommend this place, ladies. I have seen Dr. Gary Bodner at this office twice and will never, ever go back. It was awful. Going in for your annual is not a visit that people get excited for, as you can imagine. But, Dr. Bodner is certainly not sympathetic to this. He actually yelled at me in the examining room. In addition, he asked me how old I was and then told me I looked twelve. Can you talk about mortifying?! Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! read more

I want to say I love this place. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel so welcome. They are pretty good about keeping on time and getting you in and out quickly. I personally see Dr. Leader who is the sweetest woman around! Her nurse is awesome as well. They make you feel very safe and welcomed. They also take Tricare which is wonderful. I just recently had a procedure done and I was nervous. Afterwards they offered me a drink, a snack and some pain meds. Then they told me to lay down on the table as long as I needed to recover and get up to get dressed when I felt ready. Wow!!! 5 star rating to this group. If your looking for a amazing gynecologist I recommend this location and Dr. Leader specifically. She is really informative, helpful and truly listens to you and your concerns! read more

I have been going to North Atlanta for about 6 years. Let me just say I have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. I had my first daughter with them and have continued my annual check ups and everything with them. Here I am with my second baby and have been going to them as well. They care, they take the time you deserve, they listen, never have I had a bad experience. I truly love this office and would never go anywhere else. Really some of the nicest men and women work here. Easy parking (not free but cheap and if you have a late appointment sometimes it is free!). Nice office. Will call you back quickly. Rarely running behind. They don't take themselves too seriously. And the big difference is you can tell they like helping others. I hope my 5 star doesn't change but so far so good! read more

These people are horrendous. The doctors are OK but they took away a year of my life. I miscarried at 12 weeks, they did the D&C and then did nothing. No thorough blood work. I came back one and they told me to go. Had a few chemical pregnancies following the D&C and no one needed me to come into the office. After the FOURTH loss, I finally got an appointment and they did blood work, but only after making me sit in the waiting room with all the heavily pregnant women for 45 minutes sobbing without anyone asking if I was okay. To make matters worse, the blood work came back "indeterminate" and they wanted to wait 3 months to re-do it. When I inquired, several people who called me told me they didn't know why we were waiting. One told me I needed 2 positive results 3 months apart to have an autoimmune disease. But I didn't get a positive result, I got no result. And they want me to wait 3 more months? They also billed the wrong insurance despite my coming in for my appointment after the first of the year stating I had new insurance and providing the new insurance card. These people have dropped every possible ball and I lost a year of my life in the darkest depression because of their lack of concern or care. Go to Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine. They figured out it was my thyroid in ONE visit and now that is under control and I shouldn't experience any more losses. read more

Dr. Cherry and her nurse (blanking on her name right now) are fabulous thus far. I just transferred here from Women's Health Associates - and my experience has been light years better here thus far ranging from the staff at the front desk, to the wait, and even the cleanliness/ look of the office. Dr. Cherry is very knowledgeable and gave me more info in one appointment than I ever had in my many appointments at WHA. The only negatives thus far are long waits when you leave the nurse a voicemail (I called at 9 AM one morning and still didn't hear back by 11 AM the next day so I called again). And there is a nurse, Cynthia, who is passive aggressive- not sure what Dr. she works for, but she was the one who called me back after I called a second time. read more

Not a bad experience in person, but such a struggle to reach them by phone! They never pick up or return calls which is horrible because I go to school out of state. It is a NIGHTMARE to renew my prescription or have them send my prescription to my online pharmacy. It's especially frustrating because my medication is time sensitive. I just switched to this office after years of putting up with a horrible practice in the same area. I have to say, the nurses and doctors here at North Atlanta OBGYN were just WONDERFUL! So different than what I am used to. My doctor took time to actually talk to me and get to know me, I wasn't just a number! The nurses were so caring and helpful. Just loved it!!! I am switching practices after a few visits with North Atlanta OB-Gyn. It took me months to get an appointment with Dr. Garcia, and when I finally got in to see her, she was running an hour behind and she never even had the time to examine me because I had to leave to pick my child up from school. Upon my follow up visit, it was determined that I would need surgery. I was told that someone from her office would contact me within 2 weeks to schedule the surgery. They never called and it's been 5 weeks. Somehow I slipped through the cracks, and I fear for my follow up care if I elected to do the surgery with them. The practice is like a factory...waiting in line downstairs just to check in, only to wait forever upstairs to be seen by a doctor. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have used this practice for my three pregnancies. The doctors might be fine doctors, but the attention to patients leaves much to be desired. read more

Have been with this office since I've moved to ATL (about 4 years), never had any issues until tonight. Just put in a call to the after hours line because I have a few things going on and am nervous because I had surgery about 6 weeks ago. This is my first time using the after hours line since the beginning. Needless to say, the answering service rep was rude saying "I don't think the doctor is going to call you back about that...." Excuse me!!!!!! Never heard from the Dr. after waiting over 30 minutes. So I called back like I was instructed by the rep, she got the Dr. on the line...Dr. Godwin (she is the newest member of the practice)...she was no better than the rep on the phone. Telling me that line was for the emergencies only and such, she was with a patient at the hospital, blah blah blah. It was an emergency for me because like I said I am in a panic after having the surgery and want to be super sure that whats going on currently is not related....I am a patient as well. She also said that I could wait to contact the office during the week and not after hours or go to the ER or an urgent care clinic over the weekend. She did offer one good piece of advice...that the ER would charge a huge copay and it was a waste. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I WILL NEVER SEE THIS DOCTOR AND WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HER TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! I recommend that this office gets a nurse advice line or something that may have time to deal with patient's issues that are important to them as opposed to being shot down as less important than others. BIG THUMBS DOWN...I am shocked because I have never had this experience at this office. Its unfortunate and I will probably be looking to move on....only takes one bad experience to spoil it for others. read more

The office staff is very friendly and efficient. I really like this place. I have been going here for 4 years. Someone mentioned that Dr. Bodner was not a nice person. I actually like him. He delivered my youngest son. He will seem like he is being mean at times, but he really is not mean. I think you just have to get to know him and give him a chance. He is a GREAT dr. I have been going here for 9 years and I love the practice. I saw Dr. Bodner my 1st couple visit there however I was NOT a fan of his and I started going to Dr. Dodder. She is the BEST and I love her. For my 3 experiences with Dr. Bodner he did not listen to my concerns and I had to end up going to the ER for one of my issues after surgery in the office. That didn't deter me from staying with the practice because I have always had a great vibe about the office staff and nurses there. So Dr. Michelle Dodder is my dr there and she is AWESOME!!!! Feeling disappointed this morning--for the second time. First, after being a patient of this practice for more than 20 years, my doctor retired. Without notice of any kind. I called to make my annual appointment and bingo, he's gone. So I bounced around a couple other doctors in the practice. Then, this morning I called to make this year's appointment and bingo, they don't take Medicare. Yep, I turned 65. They knew my last appointment with them, would be my LAST appointment with them. But no notice, no preparatory remarks, no referral to a new doctor or practice. Technology being what it is, I know they could easily set a tickler to notify aging patients of the end of the relationship. read more

I also never received a call back after needing surgery and had to continuously call and bother them since my symptoms related to the surgery were driving me crazy! I adore Gary Bodner, and have never seen anything like what some other reviewers described. I was referred to him by a very high-maintenance friend when I had trouble conceiving, and I figured if she was happy with him I would be happy. Two kids later, I am totally satisfied. I had a very difficult first delivery, requiring transfusions and other issues, but Dr. Bodner was great and totally professional. I continue to go back for annual visits--not convenient to where I live, but I couldn't bear the thought of finding anyone else. I have referred several friends to this practice, and they are all very happy. Dr. Bodner is fantastic, I can't recommend him enough. read more
