This is the worst ER I have ever been to. The fact that we had to go through a metal detector to walk in should have been our first clue. We waited over 3 hours until they took my boyfriend back. They don't allow visitors in the back because the area is too small. They literally have chairs lined up against the wall in the hallway. They taped the IV bag to the wall. My boyfriend was back there over 4 1/2 hours waiting to be treated and diagnosed. He was never properly diagnosed or treated. They called security on him when he questioned the doctor's reasoning for why he had all the symptoms he was having. He never raised his voice or was disrespectful. The nurses and doctors are very rude! Trying to get information about my boyfriend was like pulling teeth. I will never go back or go to a Wellstar facility again! read more

Horrific and deeply concerning experience. My daughter is thankfully alive--but certainly not because of the care she received at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. This facility failed to meet even the most basic standards of care. The physicians did not properly review her chart, ignored recent imaging, and dismissed both her symptoms and repeated concerns from us as her parents. Despite clearly documented severe medication allergies--and multiple verbal warnings--she was given medications that triggered an allergic reaction. That is not just careless; it is dangerous. Her abdominal pain was repeatedly brushed off and attributed to her menstrual cycle without appropriate evaluation. A two-day-old X-ray ordered by her pediatrician was never reviewed. Her records in MyChart were incomplete, and the discharge paperwork we received did not even match what was sent to her pediatrician. It gets worse--days later, a prescription was sent in for an infection they explicitly told us she did not have. There was no explanation, no phone call, no follow-up message--nothing. Just a completely unexplained and contradictory course of action. The only reason we were able to get answers is because of our pediatrician, who took the time to step in, investigate, and correct what this ER failed to handle. I would strongly caution anyone considering this ER. Based on our experience, I would not trust this facility with the care of a loved one. If this is their version of "care," it is nowhere near acceptable. read more

So far, 0 percent regard to customers service in the ER. I asked for help to go to the restroom since I came in for a lower extremities tear. The nurse made the comment," I don't understand how you need help going to the bathroom if you can sit perfectly fine." I needed the help to prevent further tearing. Comments like that are not needed by any means. I would have expected the staff here would be willing to do their jobs and provide quality care but it seems they would rather talk about their weekend plans than do their jobs. Still waiting in the waiting room after an hour. Started with 2 of us in there now there are 7 other patients. Ready to spend my whole day at this horrible ER...yippee read more

if I could give this place O stars I would. I have never ever seen a hospital emergency not give a care in the world about patients. Im mean people were damn near dying and they had them waiting in the waiting room for hours. A pregnant lady was bleeding and losing a baby and they did nothing, my son was having chest pains and shortness of breath they did nothing. Old lady with trouble breathing nothing. like this hospital should really be ashamed. No since of urgency whatsover. I'm in complete shock. read more

Currently waiting in my car because waiting room is full of sick people and people that use the ER for Dr visits. They're ordering door dash. What a joke. My daughter's here for a fall and they lump everyone together. No separation of sick people versus broken bones, falls, etc etc. Do better. Spent 4 hrs at urgent care only for them to send us to ER. Currently on hour 3 here. I do know that Medicaid needs to stop letting people for non emergent type situations use these ER's. read more

I had to have an EGD done by DR. Patel at GI Specialist in Hiram. We did it at this hospital. The staff were so amazing. The hospital was pristine. They took great care of me and helped me to feel very comfortable while I was in the surgical center. I really hope I can have my actual surgery at this facility! I went in the er with previous gi issues and diagnosed with diverticulitis and gastritis. I changed my eating habits and got better until Friday I was clearly having some inflammation issues so I went to the er. the doctor found thc in my system and diagnosed me with cannabis hyperemesis syndrome. instead of treating me for what I was actually dealing with, they sent me home in pain. I threw up non stop Friday night and into Saturday where I returned to the er because my labs were elevated or low and I needed real help. I thought I was finally getting somewhere when they admitted me to the hospital and did more tests. my white blood cell count and blood pressure is through the roof. The new doctor comes in from a shift change and she goes with what the first doctor said on Friday. so now I've been misdiagnosed twice and am not getting proper pain management. My overnight nurse was the best but that shift change in the morning brought so much stress and pain for me. This nurse kept telling me she couldn't do anything about my pain. I called and asked for an advocate and was told one would come to my room. I requested to speak directly to my doctor and she declined. The worst part is they gave me abilify without explaining why and I am taking mirtazipine so now I have to go to another er so they can clean up Pauldings mess. I'm very upset and the other nurse that witnessed all of this mistreatment apologized to me as she was removing my iv. The doctor and my main nurse didn't care about my crazy labs or me complaining of so much pain. so disappointed because I've been here before and was treated kindly. This experience was horrible. I signed a paper so I could leave after I was told my doctor wouldn't come to speak with me about my treatment. I don't recommend going here if you're unsure what's wrong with you. they will lazily diagnose and fake treat you. I'm going to have bills from them when I didn't even get proper treatment. I'm having to go to another er to receive help. read more

This place is a joke. Their commercial says that they are people centered but that is such a lie. It's a bunch of incompetent people who think they are so much better than the patient. They don't listen, don't help. Took them 8 tries to get an IV in me only to send me home 20 minutes later. read more

My wife has been waiting in the ER for almost two hours for a room. Took her back for vitals and now we are just sitting here. This is a poor excuse for healthcare!! read more

My father was taken by ambulance to their ER and we have been waiting for 5 hours still not seen by a doctor. Guess they don't care that my 88 year old father has chest pain and is sitting in the waiting room. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! If you don't want your loved ones to die I suggest you go to a different ER. I even asked to talk to an administrator and I got crickets!! read more
