They have facilitated insurance adjusters, and walked with us through the process. Bob Mercer at State Farm Insurance has been reliable to our family.

Last year was convinced by a family member to move over to Bob and State Farm.  Six weeks into…read moreswitching to State Farm and Bob's agency I was T-boned by someone traveling over 50mph and am lucky to be alive.  Bob's team did nothing to help me with the State Farm Adjusters.  The car was physically totaled but SF wanted to piecemeal my car back together even though it was 6 weeks old.  After an attorney got involved I finally had a reasonable Adjuster total the car and write me a check.  No thanks to Bob and his team.   Fast forward to March of this year.  I get a rock kicked up and a chip in my windshield while driving behind a snowplow.  I spoke with someone in Bob's office and "asked if my making a comprehensive claim would affect my insurance".  I was told one was collision and the other was comprehensive.  I was encouraged to file a claim as that is what insurance is for.   Fast forward to today.  I get a letter that I am being dropped from State Farm.  I call and ask to speak to Bob.  Bob is not available.  Bob finally calls me back and says "this isn't what you are going to want to hear but I called to appeal for you but there's nothing I can do".   When I challenged Bob with "what do you actually do for me and how have you ever helped me through any of this" he got really upset.  He stated that he has been doing this for 41 years and he did a filing of appeal for me.  I shared that I thought his efforts were very apathetic since day 1 when I needed someone to work for me and my claim and now when I'm being dropped.  He then became defensive and upset and decided it was time to hang up with a "have a nice day". Here's the Truth:  Save yourself from a person who sits back on his laurels and touts his 41 years while doing nothing for YOU, "The Customer".  God forbid you actually use your insurance.  I have never had an accident until this one.  Note: Someone hit me!!  I have no speeding tickets or tickets of any kind in the last decade.  Bob got upset that I challenged his "self proclaimed support of me" and simply responded with "I filed an appeal Dave but no luck". I wasn't looking for 'luck' Bob.   Just to note I had to call Bob...Bob didn't call me.  Bob can say he checked the box but if you are looking for someone to actually fight FOR YOU.  Forget it.  Find another agent and insurance company.

Our primary contact, Tracey, routinely failed to return calls and emails. On multiple occasions, she admitted she had forgotten to follow up. We were also advised not to file claims that, based on information we later received, would have been in our best interest to pursue. Most recently, we requested a review of our policies and rates and discovered they had not been reviewed in nearly five years. We were told someone would get back to us within five days. More than a month later, despite multiple follow-up emails and phone calls, we still had not received a response. What ultimately convinced us to leave was the complete lack of response from agency leadership. I personally reached out multiple times asking for Andrew to contact me to discuss our concerns and never received a return call or email response. We did not make the decision to leave lightly after being loyal customers for so many years. Unfortunately, we no longer felt our business was valued. I hope this feedback encourages the agency to improve its communication and customer service for future clients.

I asked them to cancel my insurance and they didn't follow through with the paperwork for 6 months requiring me to pay for insurance I no longer needed. Multiple unanswered emails and phone calls. I can't imagine how much they screw up claims. Take your money and your peace of mind to another local agent.

My first contact was an email sent directly to Christina Kum on Feb 14; I…read morenoted that I was in closing and wanting to move fast.   I asked that she review the HOA to help me choose a plan.  Christina requested personal and confidential information and said that she would send quotes with fine print on Friday.  I said this timeline was okay.  However Christina then declined service the following morning based on the problem of my HOA being too long to read.  She noted that the HOA was 125 pages long and that she had just returned from maternity leave and was busy.  I deal with many long documents every day for work, and I deserve professional support from others at my same skill level when trying to deal with insurance.  It makes me incredibly uncomfortable that I just sent private information on good faith only to have the agent bail on representation/service based on the difficulty of reading a document and her lack of time.  The search function is not working on Christina's PDF reader?  She cannot locate the sections of relevance to exterior repairs and just read these?
