I was only about a 3-minute walk away, so I wasn't expecting my order to be done when I got there, but to my delight, It was already done! There was a younger and older gentleman working. Super nice guys! I told him I made a mobile order and said it probably wasn't done, but the older man pointed over and said "yep! Its ready for ya"! So I popped in and used their latrine, asked for extra oil and vinegar, because I could literally drink that stuff, and they happily obliged! Snatched my bag off of the rack, and made my way back across the street. This is going to be one of the top three cleanest subways I've ever been in. The place was sparkling. Even the bathroom was were nice. I ordered a spicy Italian protein bowl, and it was packed to the gills! I didn't think my order would be ready when I got there, because I ordered a lot of extra different types of vegetables, but they knocked it out of the park, and gave me EXACTLY what I ordered! Not a huge huge fan of Subway, and I probably eat it more than I like, but the next time I'm up here, I'll definitely be giving them some more of my business! I feel so horrible now, that I didn't tip through the mobile app. But typically I don't guilt tip because you just never know until afterwards, and most of the times that I've have, I shouldn't have. We live in a large town in eastern Iowa and there are probably +/-25 Mexican restaurants to choose from and we've tried many. There is not one that can hold a candle to Casa Mexicana! The food was spot-on and delicious, the service couldn't have been better and the prices were so reasonable. And the margaritas are so good! In a small town of probably less than 2000 people sits a hidden gem. If you are ever traveling in western Iowa on Interstate 80, Avoca is just a short distance east of Council Bluffs. You need to make Casa Mexicana a destination. We will always plan a stop whenever we are in the area!
