Service was TERRIBLE. I asked for "a number 6, spicy chicken sandwich." With an attitude the kid said "say that again". I shrugged it off because maybe the mic is just hard to hear through. I then said "a spicy chicken sandwich" and he said "what drink". I said "i just want the sandwich" to which he aggressively says "THATS not a number 6 then". I don't know if his ego was hurt or something because i didn't want the meal? I told him it literally says #6 on the screen and that he shouldn't give customers attitude (especially when you're wrong!!!) left him with some kind words and left that dump. WARNING Recent former employee at 3995 Columbia Ave, Columbia, PA 17512 Updated on 11/01/23 We are not getting paid at this location on time it took them five days to pay me and they paid me with a paycard when I had direct deposit setup. The pay card only pays for certain things so it has jammed me up pretty significantly. I'm currently waiting on my last pay check. The store manager Rachel will not answer my texts or emails. I have reached out to the district manager Brian and he has never gotten back to me. The same with the hotline I was never called back. This is a horrible place to work and eat. When I had my initial interview there was a nasty spill by the TV and fireplace I told the manager Jasmine it was there and no-one cleaned it up. Who knows how long it's been there. Disgusting. When I did finally picked up my first pay check the female manager on duty with black dreadlocks called me a as* hole under her breathe as I walked away. I was never put into the time system to get accurate time documented for the time I have worked I'm missing time from when I showed up early. I called Wendy's employee hotline and talk to a representative named Eileen with children screaming in the background to file a complaint and she told me it could take 7 days for them to get back to me and I needed to answer every phone call because they don't leave messages and only call once. They never called what a surprise. She would also not give me any contact information to talk to a district manager. Furthermore when I asked for the district managers contact information from my manager the info was withheld form to me until I had no other choice but to escalate the situation. This location does not practice health code standards. It can be very toxic, I've witnessed a manager Jasmine screaming at employees do we have a problem with a very aggressive tone the other female manager Rachel screamed at me like I was her child because of a conversation she couldn't even hear and wasn't a part of she also uses her husband Steven that is a store manager at a different location as an intimidation tactic to enforce her abusive behavior. Her exact words were you don't want to piss off the big angry man. Both of these female managers are on the morning shift.In addition I witnessed the Supervisor Jasmine smoking a marijuana vape pen on the clock in front of several employees. Everything is falling apart or doesn't work properly. We don't have the proper supplies often. I have only worked here for 3 weeks and it's been red-flag after red flag. If you're considering working here do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. I foresee this location being shut down because of shady business practices and health code violations, whoever owes this franchise is losing so much money. Here is a list of health concerns you should know about that I witness. No dates on prep, coolers not being wiped out, dish sinks not being cleaned properly, raw food contamination, a leak in the ceiling dripping into the chili upfront, not wiping down surfaces with disinfectant after handling raw food, putting food for customers on unsanitized service at Sandwich station, not changing gloves when handling raw meat, soda dispensers not being cleaned, filthy bathrooms with no soap and paper towels sitting on the counter collecting water and bacteria not in dispenser, paper towel dispenser in bathroom malfunction and lock doesn't work, hand washing sinks filthy and crowded paper towel dispensers not working properly, employees not wearing gloves when making food. UPDATE I made contact with manager Rachel on 10/29/23 @11:30 about the 32 hrs missing pay that is 3 weeks late and told her no one has gotten back to me she said she would call and find out. I look forward to getting paid so I can pay my bills. I will be contacting the better Business bureau and the department of Labor to ensure the safety and integrity of workers and customers alike. American workers deserve better than this and so do the customers. read more

I won't go as far as to give this place 4 stars because let's face it a Shake Shack they are not. But I will give kudos where kudos is due and that is to a standout employee I believe his name was Matt. I arrived at the drive thru at 4:12pm on a Thursday night, only stopping because I was too early for a hair appt across the street. Figured I'd get a junior cheeseburger to keep my belly from rumbling. There were 3 people ahead of me and the dining room appeared closed. Finally at 4:30 I placed my order. The employee immediately told me he was by himself and that my order would be delayed. When I questioned him further on this he proceeded to share that no other employees showed up for the shift, or even did so much as to call. So this poor lone employee was left to run all aspects of a busy fast food chain. What stood out to me most was he was friendly, calm, and in control. He dedication to a minimal wage job was surprising in this day and age and he obviously put the customers ahead of himself. At the window during pick up (which surprisingly was ready when I rolled around) was that in addition to cooking, cashiering, and order taking all by himself that he was clearly disabled, his hand trembling profusely probably from the effects of Parkinson's. My order was correct and I was thanked and drove away, with anger building up inside of me. Where are the owners or management to allow such an occurrence to happen? Where is the support of the franchise? This could have been a major security and safety issue. What if he injured himself running the grill to the point that he couldn't call for help? So many lingering what ifs ran thru my mind. So much so that I called corporate the next day and alerted them of the situation. As for Matt, if you are reading this you are too good for that Wendy's! Do yourself better and move on, you are clearly management material and any employer would be lucky to have you! read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The manager is the rudest person I've ever met and the workers are very slow. The manager needs more training or let go it's obviously not the job she can handle and all the cashiers need more training, I watched one of the workers accidentally delete all previous orders because he doesn't know what he's doing. The wait is absolutely insane I waited an hour in line and ended up leaving because they weren't taking inside orders and told everyone they can wait while they take drive through orders. now before i completely get RABID .. at 2:19 pm, my MIL ordered an online order from the Wendy's on Prospect Rd in Columbia. As she arrived with 3 children until the age OF 12, she proceeded to tell a WORKER that she ordered, it was paid for ect. as she's standing in the mobile order line. The "worker" by the name of Brandy Bish continued to raise her voice and speak w some attitude that shouldn't of been directed towards my family. My MIL explained that she just needed her order when she was told " i'm gonna need to you move over THERE ( pointing to the wrong line) bc i NEED to help him first" all w unnecessary attitude as if my MIL didn't know what she was already doing. as she's being spoke to in this manner another customer is standing side by side with her, w his jaw dropped bc HE EVEN was confused why she was speaking to her in this manner. so my MIL of course followed the INCORRECT instructions and when she was finally given her turn the woman proceeded to say in a condescending way "dO YoU hAvE a MoBilE OrDeR?!" even though she already should've listened to that part. so my MIL replied " yes i have a mobile order , what is your problem?!?" ... she says "i don't have a problem.." as my MIL and the kids picked up their food to turn and go eat , THIS disgusting human being decided to announce to the next customer as a "joke" ... " OH the ALIENS are here.." and unfortunately enough my poor 11 year old nephew has to step in and say out loud " um Tata ( his grandmother) that is racist.." We stopped here for food before going to Field of Screams. At least 8 or more people waiting in line. One order taken while waiting. One worker on break sitting in the dinning area. Another worker left while we were waiting. Drive thru also busy but seemed to be handled before the inside customers. This is an okay place to stop for a travel break and a meal, but it did not live up to what I expect from your typical Wendy's. The men's room needed maintenance and looked as if it hadn't been attended to in a bit. When I ordered, evidently the person in front of me got the last of the fries, and I was told mine would take several minutes and that they would be brought out to my table. It did take seveal minutes, yet these right-out-of-the-fryer potatoes were still quite greasy and not as crisp as expected. Kids always enjoy coming to eat at Wendy's. Food is always hot and fresh. Restaurant is kept clean for the most part for being fast food. Today a wet floor sign was placed appropriately in a wet location in side the restaurant however nothing was done to clean up the rather large puddle on water on the floor and multiple people slipped. read more

Stopped in while traveling for a late lunch. Health code violation city in there! The biggest eww factor was an employee was touching a broom, cleaning the floor, and cleaning dirty trays (not appropriately either) and went and touched food without ever washing their hands. Lied about the fact they didn't and made a huge ordeal because they were asked to wash their hands. I am giving Wendy's one star, not for the 45 minutes I waited for our meals today, but for the horrible way the person who took my order and gave me our food treated me (May 13th, 2021 at 7:30 pm). I was in shock and speechless by the way I was treated, and I left so that customers behind me did not have to wait any longer so I did not ask for a manager. After repeated my order several times when ordering, they only processed 2 out of the 3 meals I ordered. I ended up having to go elsewhere to buy something else for me. When I asked if she charged me for the 3rd one missing, she told me "didn't you know what you ordered?" "do you understand what our menu says?" with such an attitude, I still can't believe it. While I was trying to explain what I ordered, she kept interrupting me and then slammed the window shut, before even let me finish. I understand that they are under a lot of pressure, but this is a great way to make customers go elsewhere. I will not return to this restaurant again, especially since there are other 2 fast foods I also like nearby. Customer service is not about just getting your orders correct, but treating customers nicely especially after a very long waiting time. I normally really like this Wendy's, but was really disappointed when I took my family to get Frostys. Frostys have always been more of a thick, solid type of milkshake. I don't know if they changed machines, but it is light as air now. It's not at all the same product it used to be. read more

Last week I had ordered a Baked Potato - Bacon and Cheese. Drove the whole way home to discover, a plain potato. I called to get a refund and was nicely offered credit for another. The manager (girl) was very sweet and genuinely seemed to care that there was a mess up and sorry for the inconvience. Today, I go to get said credit and a different manager (guy) was there. No where could he find the credit but he offered to give it to me anyway. Kids working in the back were completely unprofessional. Quite frankly, if I had to work with them, I'd quit while I was ahead. Upon being told to make my order, one guy decides he was going to THROW the baked potato from the oven to the girl working ..... who dropped it. I watched her pick it up like it happens all the time and SERVE IT TO ME like it was no big deal. You've got to be kidding me! Threw it right in the trash as I walked out.
