I can't even give one star because they just don't deserve it. I ordered for drive-through at McDonalds on 1755 Columbia Ave, Lancaster PA 17603 and when I arrived to pick up, the staff and manager said they are closed and they dont receive my order. I arrived at 10:15pm, the order was placed at 10:06pm, the store hours on the app said the store is open until 10.59pm. I got charged in my credit card, the app notified me that order is ready to pick up, I even have the code ready. But then I dont have my food. The manager told me to contact customer service because they cant do anything about it. I need a refund for this case! This is not right for them to do this with customer! read more

I don't usually go to this McDonald's because of slow service but I had to before I went on my 3 hour drive. Some young man took my order fine, everything was fine until we came to pay. My spouse who was driving heard the young man incorrectly, he tried to verify our order with us and unfortunately we heard wrong and told him yes. Well we got our receipt and realized that we payed for another order. No Biggy we weren't upset it was a simple mistake. It seems like the young man at the window needed to call a manager or someone higher up to redo this transaction because I guess he couldn't. No worries, we had no problem with that either. Our problem starts with whoever he called over. I didn't get her name it was a young women maybe 18-22? She opens the window and says "give me your card" okay. Then she slams the window on us making the window bounce back. Didn't like the passive aggression but I wasn't gonna ask for a manager number or anything because she was being very hostile and we just wanted to get on the road. She gives us our card back with our receipt and proceeds to slam the window again on us. We pull up to the second window and I see all kids tending to customers, taking orders out to people waiting, and everything else. I see all the adults at the front of the restaurant talking and messing around doing nothing. What a shame, making all these kids do your job. 8/10 times the fries are brown from old grease and the service is slow. I've stood there watching the employees stand around talking while I waited for my order for an extended period. Once in a blue moon some employees surprise me with their good customer service other than that, I wish we had a another McDonalds close by because having to drive to centerville sucks a little. Worst McDonald's. When we went to order they hardly listened and we have to repeat twice because they were talking and laughing. Then they had us pull over and wait for two smoothies because they had to replace the syrup. We didn't not see them attempt to refill the syrup for about 5 minutes as they were talking around the register. It took and additional 5 minutes for them the bring us our smoothies. read more

This is the worse McDonald's I've ever been to. Service is very slow. It wasn't busy but I still stood in line for over 5 minutes waiting to give my order. Counter person was just standing around talking. After I ordered I waited while the back end people stood around as well. I saw my food come up and said it was there after a minute or two. The girl was very rude about it. The food was cold and the fries were cold and nasty. When I talked to the manager about all of it, they said their employees always are pleasant and the food is made fresh. It was a mess in the dining area. I stopped at this location and ordered a happy meal and a double quarter pounder. I was asked to pull around into one of the waiting spaces. Four vehicles came and went before a crew member asked to see my receipt which she walked away with. Shortly thereafter she reappeared with another vehicles order and I told her I wanted to speak to a manager. A few more minutes later the manager appeared and I explained that 4 cars had already left and three of them ordered after me. She made an excuse then went inside. She reappeared with my food however forgot the juice for my daughter's happy meal. Finally, after TWENTY MINUTES I had the entirety of my order and left, resigned to never return again. read more

The Columbia location gets worse every time I come here. The freshness and heat of the food are hit or miss. Most of the time, there is something wrong with the order. Ordered 2 double cheese burgers with no pickles and a 20 piece chicken nuggets. Got home to find 4 pickles on each of my burgers and the chicken nuggets to be rubbery and inedible as if they were made yesterday. I called to speak with manager, who responded extremely unprofessional and inferred that I was lying. Let me start off by saying I have never been into a McDonalds with such great service. Generally you know what you're getting when you go to McDonald's: Cheap(ish) food and so-so service. This evening when my Husband and I stopped in for a quick snack, we were greeted with a refreshingly great attitude and a smile. We ordered our food and went to go sit down, after a few minutes the lady who took our order (the manger?) came out to tell us that it would take a few more minutes for our grilled chicken wraps and asked if we would like it crispy instead. We decided to wait the few extra minutes. She offered additional fries because of the wait.. Finally, when the chicken was done she brought out more fries, our grilled chicken wraps and also two apple pies! which we didn't ask for, nor paid for. One would think that, a place as large as McDonald's would learn how to make an order correctly, Columbia's doesn't. Out of 25 visits, 21 were prepared incorrectly, all because I requested special orders. Apparently, the employees are not trained to make a sandwich without cheese or onions, because even when they repeat the order back, it still comes out incorrectly. read more

Can they get an order right for once? Once they hit 0 for 3, I was done. Nothing complex, just a plain double cheese, hold the onions (I have an onion allergy) after two visits and two attempted homicides by onions, I figured "hey, nuggets don't have onions, how can they possibly mess that up?" A question that should never crossed my mind: who would have guessed that my nuggets would actually be right but instead of barbecue sauce as I specified, there was a single honey mustard? After all, "honey mustard" and "barbecue" sound so similar phonetically. The beauty of the drive-thru is that if they screw up the order, by the time the customer has a chance to eat it without endangering fellow motorists, they are so far down the road, that the Benadryl or epinephrine pen at home is closer than returning to spew out their final words before the anaphylactic reaction kills them: my order was wrong...again. read more
