I thought the restaurant was empty but was surprised when we got to our table where everyone else was sitting because it looks over the pool area. It was bright, airy and comfortable.
We ordered their Caesar salad to share in which it was excellent. The veggies were fresh and crisp, it also has anchovies which my husband loves and unusually a quail egg which was surprisingly good together because I added a touch of creaminess from the yolk.
Their bread service was great as we were each given a piece of focaccia, an olive roll and almost like a garlic stick.i very much enjoyed their olive oil which was strong and fragrant.
My husband ordered their clam pasta and while I ordered their king crab and abalone pappardelle, which is supposed to be one of their most popular dish. My husband said the clams were small but fresh and sweet. However, the pasta itself lacked flavors and he could only taste the olive oil and would've liked to have it cooked in more clam juice. My king crab and abalone was just ok. The pasta itself was al dente and the abalone was fresh and tasty. However, the texture of the crab meat wasn't was firm as I would've liked and it also needed a pinch of salt to bring out the flavors.
I also ordered their yuzu eclair and pistachio pastry to wrap up our meal. Both desserts were delectable and not too sweet so it's perfect for an Asian palate, although I did not eat the chocolate decorations just because I thought it made it too sweet to my liking.
Our server was great as she was patient and always tended to our needs with a smile. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and even though there could be some areas of improvements, I would still go back to try other items on their menu.
