Stopped here on our way to our vacation. The Wendy's chain is known for being one of the slowest "fast" food restaurants but we needed some quick to continue our drive. It's attached to a pilot gas station but it wasn't busy, we were the only car in line. The woman at the drive thru wouldn't allow us to look at the menu board. We had to tell her twice to "give us a sec". We were only looking for like 2 mins prior to ordering. Then she kept questioning her order as if she was fully listening to our order, which was annoying. However, we got our food and ate in the parking and the food was good. I was nervous due to the previous reviews, but the food was hot and tasted really good. The fries were steaming and my bacon was crispy on my burger. Overall, i was satisfied with our quick stop. I stood in line for about 15 minutes with literally no other customers there and THREE workers who all saw and ignored me. One of them finally said they'd be there in a second after I'd been standing there for awhile. After another ten minutes I just told them, "Nevermind!" and left. They were beyond rude and barely even acknowledged me. Avoid if at all possible. I can definitely see why Wendy's are getting shut down all over after visiting this place. read more

A quick stop for a six piece nuggets and a burger for the road after visiting the restrooms of the attached Pilot. The restaurant was quiet and not busy when I arrived at 7:30pm. Clean enough and with signs up for masks required. The staff were wearing theirs. My order did not take long and it was bagged up. I was on my way. In the car and eating, the nuggets were neither crisp nor hot. Yes, spicy and flavored properly but not fresh. The sandwich was good. Quality might be their recipe but the cooking needs some work. Doesn't support mobile ordering. Line to stand in not clearly marked. Poor execution on customer experience. Would not scan my phone for reward. Receipt I was given would not either. Food was just ok. The chili was watered down so I drank the top half of chili juice and took a photo of what was left. My daughter said her chicken sandwich tasted like fish thanks to the Mayo smothered on the bread. Frosty's not listed on menu. Ordered anyway and surprise they had them. Slid all 4 to me loose and said lids are over there nodding to crowded drink station. I had to ask for a way to carry them. Terrible quality! Came in tonight (feb 9,2024) around 6:10 to pick up dinner (ordered a spicy chicken sandwich no tomato's combo, a regular chicken sandwich combo, 10pc reg nuggets combo, and a crispy chicken sandwich biggie bag. We specifically asked for no tomatoes on the spicy chicken sandwich due to my step dad being allergic, but when he bit into it there was a tomato! Not only that, but the wait time was not great especially for ordering ahead, and a fry was left out. The food was just thrown into the bag and it looked like someone punched the spicy chicken sandwich with the way it was thrown in. Not to mention the fries that were put in were cold. For paying almost $45 for this, the results should not come out like this. How hard is it to get an order right? read more

I stopped off I77 south of Charlotte for some gas and a quick bite. There was one person in front of me in the drive through, so the service was quick. I ordered a single with cheese and a kids chocolate Frosty. I pulled out after I received my order and found a spot in the parking lot to eat. I was disappointed that my sandwich was not hot. The burger was good and the ingredients were fresh....but a cold burger was not cool. Plus it was around noon, lunch time. It wasn't like I showed up at closing time. Stopped on the way to Charlotte. Convenient location and fairly fast service. All employees were masked up. They managed to get our order wrong and we didn't realize until we got down the road. Typical fast food joint. I guess the most interesting thing was that the cashier told me that they didn't accept the Wendy's app, only the Pilot app since they are attached to that gas station. My comment was that they shouldn't have an add to download their app right next to the cashier if they didn't accept it...Duh! read more

I asked if it was too much work for them and the manager came on to tell me they, "don't provide that service"... No explanation. They would give me a plastic knife to cut it myself. My husband came here this evening after working all night long and still has a very long night of work ahead of him decided to come in here and order the bacon double stack biggie bag and his food was RAW!! Meat was pink, bacon was undercooked, and nuggets were undercooked as well. We stopped in at Pilot to fill up on our way home from a weekend trip. There's a Wendy's inside so we decided to go ahead and grab a quick lunch so we could get back on the road. Even though the place didn't appear busy, I waited at least 15 minutes to even get to the counter. The lady taking my order kept looking behind her or at the ceiling and I wondered if she was listening to my order. The answer was no. When I got out to the car both mine and my husband's orders were wrong. The quality of the food was abysmal, even for fast food. Dry, tasteless chicken (I had grilled and my husband had spicy), lettuce was wilted, tomato was slimy. Just overall very gross. Bad service, bad food. Keep on driving. read more

Worst Wendy's I've ever been to. We were hungry and stopped by for gas and food but after 15 minutes of waiting in line with no one wanting to take my order--so I left. I was at the front of the line, one order on the board and drive-thru was the only one being serviced. I asked two members if they were only serving drive thru, with people in the lobby and they couldn't even give me an answer. Before I even got to the front, there were also multiple people that left because they were being ignored and waiting for extended periods of time. I saw three of the ladies just walking back and forth avoiding me while pretending to help the drive thru, where there were several other people already tasked with the drive thru line. Stood in line for 10 minutes before someone came to the register to take the order from the people in front of me. Then she left again. Only one person taking orders. Plenty of people in the kitchen. One poor guy had been waiting for his food for 15 minutes. No one behind the counter would give you eye contact. No manager on duty. Greasy floor littered with paper. Nice big new Wendy's in a Pilot truck stop with lots of parking. It looks new and I like the decor and really clean. It's always busy but they have enough help on plus it's nice to get a burger and gas in one trip. Lots of seating and the chairs are comfortable. read more

I got the 4 for $4 deal which was pretty good but this place has a confusing line. I walked around the right side only to be blocked by a banner. Walked around the left side only to be kind of blocked for folks waiting for their meals. Was able to wriggle around to the counter to order. And the food was decent. We waited about 15 minutes for a #1 and one of the cod fish sandwiches. That wasn't the worst part. The cashier was touching the food her bare hands and she got our orders mixed with another couple. She took their fish sandwich back to the grill where they opened up the sandwich the other couple had opened and touched.
