Seriously, the gap between Evansville and Mt Vernon is desolate. I kept driving until I made it to Mt Vernon, and called AAA who recommended these guys. I assumed it was my alternator, and after they checked the alternator was in fact the issue. I was worried that this temporary hang up was going to mess up my vacation plans, but they made sure it did not. Got the new alternator and replaced it all on a late Friday afternoon and I was back on the road. Was it cheap? I don't know. I hadn't had an alternator put in a vehicle in a long time. I mean, everything seems high to me. But it was exactly what I needed when I needed it, and I'd have paid up for that anyway. So, for the speed and timeliness of the job, it was worth it to me. Not knowing who to call we called this company and they sent out what is called a tech, who seemed absolutely clueless to any of the symptoms the truck had. After guessing all night long, the owner called out another Diesel technician who he claimed was the best he knew. This tech took all day the next day to change out an oil sending unit. After over $3000 the truck was never repaired and this company just kept guessing and wanting to change parts. We paid them off and found a more reputable service who helped us out immediately with good, accurate, quality, knowledgeable information and got us heading in the right direction. We highly recommend you stay clear of this company as they are not mechanics. They are techs and they do not know large diesel vehicles.
