Originally, we were planning to go to a dealership but noticed they give inconsistent answers regarding our 2017 Outback. Weird, right? We were in a bind, having received only one key fob when we bought our car through Carmax. We are stumped as to how we lost it--it fell out of my pocket attracting the attention of larcenous crows is our best guess--so it would require having the car towed to a dealership with estimates well over $1500 for two fobs AND no guarantee they'd have it fixed within a day. No kidding. We called Mike last evening, answered a number of questions as I mentioned above about the type of fob and the specific model. He finally said, "Yes! I can do it."
