Highly recommend Amity Lock & Safe. I had a Hyundai Tucson keyfob Programmed. He did an Excellent Job. Totally Professional, Trustworthy, Competent. I went to them last year for a Kia Soul keyfob programmed and they did an excellent job then too. I will go to them always with total confidence knowing I get a Great Job done by this Awesome Store. read more

Very friendly! Helpful and knowledgeable! They are always busy. If you need someone with a lot of experience, stop by between 9 am and 10am as the owner is always there before he goes on the road. read more

I've been here a few times on getting copies for a couple of keys actually where I've gone to Home Depot and Lowes and weren't actually able to make keys for me but this location has been nothing but reliable it's been my go to ever since great customer service never had an issue with them at all thank you guys. read more

I had a lock on a guitar case that I couldn't open because I didn't know the combination. A friend accidentally latched it with a very valuable instrument inside the case. I took it to Amity and Justin went to work on it. He figured out pretty quickly that the lock was defective. He couldn't open it, but he had the correct tool to remove it, and he did. Didn't charge me for anything. I've got a new lock set on order and will install it as soon as I receive it. Can't recommend them more highly. Good folks. read more

This guy is a RIP-OFF. I locked myself out of my house. It was the door from my garage into my kitchen. I had my phone so I googled local locksmiths..I was told someone would be there in 20 minutes (10 minutes to get supplies) (and 10 minutes to get to my house) but it was over 1/2 hour before he came. A man wearing a cowboy hat and boots got out of the truck, strutted into my garage and used a screwdriver to force the door latch open. He was there 30 seconds and charged me $95. What a rip off. I asked him if this was his company and he said yes. I'm a senior citizen who is going in for surgery tomorrow. He could have cut me a break on the price but refused to even consider it. Then I had to listen to him bullshit about what a wonderful Christian Baptist he was. I gave him his check and said he had to leave because I had someplace to go. WHAT A BLOWHARD! Don't hire him. read more

I called them to come out and change the locks to the office door. Set up an apt and then received a call informing me he had bad history years ago with the old owner and refused to come. I tried to explain the old company was bought out by a huge corporation and has been long gone for well over a year, but he wouldn't hear of it. His words were "I've got to be honest with you. I'm not doing it. The guy who said he was the owner many years ago was rude and I'm just not going to do it." I'm sorry that's what happened then, but it's your loss. I just paid over $700 without a backwards glance. I wish you better judgment in the future. Good luck. read more

Do not use this company - they do not stand behind their work. Charged almost $300 to change locks on new house and front door had key code which he said he fixed and charged but it did not work - the whole thing fell apart, and he would not come back to repair without charging another service fee. I paid $90 for him to come out the first time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Yesterday, we contacted this company again to help us with a work truck that need to be opened (it was locked shut), a new key made and two barrel locks cut off. We spoke to Bryan who quoted us a price and a approx. arrival time for the service man Shawn to arrive. Shawn arrived right on time. He quickly had the truck open and a new key made. (I was really surprised how quickly he accomplished this!) Then he was on to the next part of the job- the two barrel locks- here's where the hard work began.. These were two Brinks barrel locks that I bought at Walmart for less than $20.00. There was no picking them, cutting them nor did his drill do the trick. Shawn said he needed another tool that he didn't have on his truck. Can you believe two locks I bought at Walmart were so strong they even kept the locksmith from opening them! who would have thought that???? So, we spoke to Bryan and he said that he'd come out today (which was a Sunday) and bring the necessary tools and take care of us. Just as promised Bryan met me at the truck this afternoon and with some effort he opened both the locks!!! YAY and I do mean YAY!!! Bryan didn't charge me extra for having to come back out for the second time. He stuck to his original estimate for the service and did a really nice job for me! As well as earned this excellent review for him and his business! If you have the need for a locksmith I'd highly recommend this company! Thank You Bryan for your help today. :)

Lost my spare key to my 2001 Ford Taurus which, like most other cars' require a key with a chip that allows them to work. Went online and called several locksmiths who were less than helpful. Then as was coming home I passed Amity Lock and Safe in Port Richey. They were helpful from the beginning and made a new key They were knowledgeable, pleasant and topped it off with a lower cost than either of the other two shops. I was in a bind and needed my RV locks rekeyed, they came right over and got it done for me. It wasn't an easy job, but they gave me an excellent price. While working on the door, they noticed my RV door was sticking, so the tech oiled the door for me as well. Very friendly, courteous, and professional company that you immediately trust and know they have your best interest in mind as well as your safety and security. Not only did he come on time , but Amber called to tell me he was running early and if it would be OK to service my lock 2 hrs ahead of time.
