For starters, no pillows -_- The toilet is next to your head when you go to sleep on your cold metal mattress. The walls, though made of concrete are paper thin. You hear all the other guests every movement! and pray they don't snore. If you do manage to fall asleep don't worry, the rude staff will come by every half hour through the night and wake you up asking "are your okay?" which they don't actually care, what they're actually asking is "are you alive?" Soon as you move to say "well no thanks for asking, can I have a pillow?" they are long gone. Honestly if I had to characterize the staff's attitude I would say they treat you as if you're in some kind of jail. The food comes 3 times a day and is actually impressive, you would have to try hard to engineer food this bad. At 27 cents a trey I guess maybe I'm expecting too much? My recommendation is to get moved into Pod 3 which is the workers pod. Take a job in the kitchen and spend your 10 hour days very carefully stealing real food. It's under lock and key but they unlock it at certain times. Unlimited Milk and cookie dough, steak fajitas, real fruit like apples and oranges! And in Pod 3 you can shower everyday instead of 3 times a week plus you can work time off your stay. If you get caught taking food though you will get thrown into Pod 2 with the Murderers and other creepy people so don't get caught, cameras everywhere All said there is no hope for this place, just stay away from the fake gangsters (and the real ones). Anyone tells you they are there for an OWI is probably a cho-mo. Find normal people to hangout with and it's not that bad. Workout, read, stay sharp. Whatever you do, don't fight, even defending yourself lands you 6months, no exceptions. The CO's wont break it up either until a lieutenant shows up with a taser so you have about 20 to 35 seconds to not get your head smashed on the corner of a metal table...And don't be disillusioned that because you're in Waukesha people wont shatter your face with a cribbage board. If you do decide to book a vacation here....good luck.

If you are going to commit a crime as a juvenile, you might end up here in the detention facility…read moreif the police deem it appropriate for the juvenile to be locked up. If you are going to visit your child in detention, don't bring anything you don't need in, like your purse and especially your cell phone. Also, it is in the basement. If you have your children taken away by the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare, you may come here as a parent to try to get your children back. If you are a worker, you will come here to prove your case and describe what services are being provided to the family to reunify them. If you are a professional visitor, do what you need to do and leave. Human Service Worker - Juvenile Justice workers have offices located in the building. My advice is: don't do anything stupid to land yourself here, whether it be locked up or have your children taken away. But the good thing is, adoptions can happen here too so those are usually happy times.

The officers and support staff here serve us with courage and respect. But I didn't come here for…read morethat, I just wanted to get a police report for insurance purposes. It's very convenient. There's a safe parking lot right out in front, someone gives clear directions on top of the easy to follow signs on entry, and it's a police station no reason to feel unsafe. As I write that I remember that Meadowlark Lemon's wife stabbed him in a police station, but he probably had that coming to him, he survived, found God, and that was New York City. Anyway, the open records department is here on the second floor. It looks a lot like the set of Barney Miller, but again, that was New York CIty and fictional. Although no one ran to the counter to help, I waited less than five minutes, my police report was found with the blink of an eye (well maybe a couple of blinks), and the print out was....75 cents. Yes, the fee for the report was $ 0.25 per page. My insurance (Acuity, they have been great) had already approved paying for the report fee, so I entertained myself by filing the receipt for $0.75 for reimbursement. I like the location, it's right next to a big (well a small in space but packed full of groceries) Southeast Asian grocer so I got a couple of things done with one short, pleasant trip.

I didn't think anything of it until the next morning when I realized I got a ticket! So I was obviously pretty upset because I thought I had bought a pass last night and thought nothing of it. Well come to find out I actually made the mistake of buying a pass for the same day instead of the following day. That was my error and I wanted to let the police department know that I did make an error but wanted to know if I could be let off on a warning instead? I spoke with Jackie who was very pleasant to speak with over the phone and after I told her my situation and providing my license plate number she understood my situation and voided out the ticket! I most certainly appreciate the understanding and truly appreciated the service our police department does for us!

Was gone for 2 hours, pulled back into a spot around the area (where I live) and next thing I know, a ticket (thanks guys for the undeserved ticket ;)... Again). They are "always right" and nothing can be disputed unless in court. Comical how big of a joke their parking rules are, especially for residents. I don't have the time to show up in court - have other plans and a busy life. Take my $25 and choke on it. I really hate you guys (mostly for the parking). This little Post Office on Hales Corners is very difficult to get to. So many parking lots, bad…read moreentry as far as driveway being on disrepair. This branch needs to expand to keep up with the growth in the area. It has been here for many decades and needs a face-lift. Once i was able to maneuver my way to this Post Office it was helpful that there was a drive through drop box. Then getting out of there was quite a mess!! Hwy 100 is being ripped up and once again, all the twists and turns to get through before you get back on the road is just crazy. This place is the opposite of convenient!!!
