I was blessed to visit this military enlistment center when a friends son enlisted recently…read more Parking is ample, but be prepared to walk because a lot of the parking is reserved for military personnel. Upon entering the building you are processed through security. After screening there is a sign in process and a lot of waiting. We were given a specific time for the ceremony but waited almost an hour for it to begin. Inside the ceremony we watched our young men and women take the oath to serve and protect in the branch thy enlisted. After the ceremony we again waited over an hour for a family meeting. At the meeting information was quickly given and in the rush of getting the enlisted officers off to lunch before their shuttle ride to the airport, some Information was left up in the air and was confusing. I suggest they have a welcome pamphlet for new military families so in the emotional rush they can access the information at a better time. After the family meeting we were asked To wait outside as the officers walked to the shuttle. It was below zero and we were Freezing! But staff was courteous and efficient in what they all needed to do. I thank all our armed forces for the jobs they do.

It's not even the full building, it's just the front of a private residence. But you can get stamps, mail packages, or get a P.O. box. Only one person works here, and they also work at other locations, which explains the short hours. Park along the street in front or across the road; there is no lot. There is also a mailbox out front for when they are closed, but you have to get out of your car to use it.

If you are visually or physically handicapped/impaired, this is a fantastic service and the people who work here are all very nice.

Stopped by here one late fall day with winter just around the corner. Was concerned that I had an…read moreexhaust leak and CO buildup in the cabin. Had picked up one of these cheep $15 hand held carbon monoxide detectors online but it wasn't clear it was doing the trick. They were more than happy to help. Came out to my car with a device that probably cost at least 10 times as much. And while we waited for the test to complete, they proceeded to tell me of a gentleman who had died the winter before of CO poisoning when he decided to sleep off his drunken stupor before driving home to his wife and kids. It had been a very cold night and he had left his car running to stay warm. When the test of my vehicle cabin completed, it was was negative but I was encouraged to have a shop make a further assessment. Very congenial. Welcoming place. Felt as if one was hanging out with friends. Need to see if they are hosting any upcoming events. I've seen other Firehouses that have hosted open houses but I've never noticed one at Firehouse #1.

The WFB police department are top notch. We have had someone trespassing on our property and they…read morecame within 2 minutes. Also, I have needed registration renewals and the staff has been cordial and quick to service. Finally, I had a registration sticker peeled from my license plate and the police man asked me a lot of questions and took care of my police report very quickly. I'm happy! Disclaimer: yes the WFB police are pretty stringent on speeding in the village but I guess that just should mean to people--don't speed!
