The medical facility that shares the same property as the Pharmacy is awesome!!!!! As is the entire staff of the medical facility, However the topic of this review has very little to do with the Awesome staff of the Medical facility that sits on the same property as the pharmacy does. Well.... lets just say that they somewhat are forced to go hand-in-hand. My Primary physician is within the medical office (as is many other patients primary physician's offices, and we all quite often need prescribed medication. When most of us receive our prescriptions from out Primary Physicians many of us opt to go next door to the Pharmacy that sits on the same property and is approximately 15 to 20 yards adjacent to the medical center door. I am sure that many patients only opt to go to that onsite pharmacy because it is super-convenient. However, sometimes the pathway to convenience isn't always a good road to travel!!!!!!! I along with many other patients of the awesome medical facility had received prescriptions from our physicians last week on a Friday. many of us did not know what time the pharmacy had opened, so some of us began to ask the onsite security guard (which was standing in the middle of the pathway between the medical facility and the pharmacy) if he could let us know what time the pharmacy had opened. The first person to ask him the question was a very ill elderly woman, and as she asked him the question he looked at her as if she was his worst enemy. his look was of disgust towards her, but his answer was even more degrading. He answered her by saying can't you read the sign!! She they says no I can't read it because I don't have my glasses, and your are also blocking it. At that point he never answered back, nor did he move from blocking the sign either! The next patient very politely asked him to direct her to the restroom, and he told her that it was somewhere around one of these corners!!! (WOW!!!!). SO I DECIDED TO TEST THE WATERS AND ASK HIM IF HE COULD TELL ME WHAT TIME IT WAS? He looked me dead within my face and ignored me as if I was not there at all, so I walked right in front of him 9as to be face-to-face with regard of personal space) in a respectful manner, I then made eye contact with him and asked my question again. He then looked at me and totally ignored me, so I went back into the Awesome medical facility that was also on the premises, and made a complaint, but before i could get three words out of my mouth at least three different customers that were sitting in the waiting room told me exactly half of what I was going to complain about. with an almost united voice they spoke practically in harmony as each of them said "oh! you must be getting ready to complain about that rude, mean security guard that only works here on Fridays huh? that alone set off many flags in my head. Well, to make a long story short, I then went home very upset. As I got home I called the medical facility, and they told me that the owner of the property was also the owner of the Pharmacy. At that point I felt really good about my potential in-person or phone-meeting with the person that hired the security guard. So, I went into the pharmacy the following Tuesday to fill my prescription and also let the owner (the person that hired the VERY RUDE!!! security guard) know about my incident. I wanted to let the owner of the property-pharmacy know what I had experienced watching him with other patients, and about the negative comments that a few more patients within the waiting area had about the security guard's rudeness and belittling unprofessionalism. Well I almost forgot that I was in Compton California, because as I gave my accounts of the incident along with my consumer interpretation of his behavior, the owner's son (yes its a mom and pop shop), kept interrupting me while laughingly writing it all off as if there was nothing that could be done about it. His sad excuse for the security guards ongoing unprofessionalism was that "this particular security guard did not mean any harm and that he is just like that. basically he was letting me know that the behavior that i was seeing was to be ignored because there was nothing that he as the owner was willing to do about it and then he smiled laughingly. At that point I told him that several patients are upset with this facility over this security guard, and he then says that he didn't see anything wrong with the security guards behavior. So, I made an intelligent choice. i chose to no longer do business with that pharmacy! I FEEL LIKE THIS. THE GAURD GETS PAID HYPOTHETICALLY... $10 AN HOUR. HE WORKS 8 HOURS A WEEK (ONLY ON FRIDAYS) THAT = $80 PER WEEK TIMES FOUR WEEKS = 320.00 PER MONTH THAT PHARMACY PAID TO THE SECURITY GAURD RIGHT? OK! I LEAVE BECAUSE OF THE OWNERS NEGLIGENCE THEY LOSE $500 FROM ME EACH MONTH, THEN A $1000 PER MONTH CUSTOMER LEAVES, AND A $300 PER MONTH CUSTOMERS LEAVES. THEY LOSE $1,800 OVER A RUDE $320 PER MONTH SECURITY GAURD! read more
