I'm one of those people who doesn't enjoy the dentist. It hurts my jaw and is generally unpleasant, but I didn't mind my visit at West Augusta Dental. Lindsey did a great job checking in periodically to ask if I was okay during X-rays, and she was gentle, fast, and efficient with the cleaning. This makes all the difference for patients with TMJ pain as the longer your mouth is open, the longer the recovery over the next couple days. July 23, 2025 I came for a new patient appointment, on my initial visit here I thought the receptionist to be very rude, because prior to my office visit I had not filled new patient information electronically I was told by her in a rude tone that the office usually cancel the appointment if it's not done prior to the visit, since I'm having a problem with a tooth that needs attention sooner than later I just didn't react. I was early to my appointment so that I could fill out any forms needed, because the bottom line is insurance and ability to pay needless to say that put a bad taste in my mouth so I don't really see myself being a long term patient although Dr. Glore and the hygienist I saw was very pleasant. read more

On my 1st visit the hygienist was too rough with my teeth and my mouth hurt for 2 weeks or more. I switched the hygienist for my 2nd appointment. She was great. The dentist are great but that lady at the front desk is crazy, unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, and has poor telephone etiquette. I had a Monday appointment at 1pm and it was confirmed. She then called me back and pretty much force me to change it to 8:30 am. I was 1 minutes away from the office and I received a call from the wicked witch blonde that sits at the front window. She was informed of my exact location but still proceeded to threaten to cancel my appointment if I wasn't there in 5 minutes. When I got there, there was about 6 people just standing around the front desk area. I take very good care of my teeth and it is always a pleasure for the dentist and hygienist when I am seen. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many other dentist offices in this area that I would never settle for this gabage for a receptionist. She tried to belittle me without success because I am a nurse practitioner and to reduce myself to her level just won't happen. She does not need to work in customer service. They knew that I wasn't returning to that place so the hygienist didn't bother to give me the partying gift of the toothbrush and toothpaste. I think that she may have been a little shaken up because I confronted the receptionist and I told her that the only reason that I was there for the 8:30 appointment was as a courtesy to them. How dare she act the way she did after I agreed to change my appointment time. My appointment was done so fast because my teeth are awesome. The statement from the dentist is usually to keep doing what I am doing. I was very displeased to say the least. I have a new dentist that will be in North Augusta. That is not as convenient but I will drive that distance for better customer service every time. It is only twice a year. I should have left after my 1st visit. I have had cleanings, crowns, and a bridge put in. While I had trouble with the bridge DR Clipper always listened to my complaints and tried to resolve the issue. I always get in right away for care and have never had any problems with the staff at the front desk. read more

I came in today for my cleaning and it was an unpleasant visit the employee who was suppose to clean my teeth was not patient with me at all yes I was kinda scared because I felt pain and when that happened and I moved or needed extra time to calm down she immediately went to get Dr.Turner he was pleasant but I have already asked for someone else the next time that will be patient with me and just give me a chance I wasn't even there 15 minutes because she rushed on me also I thought the dentist was suppose to clean your teeth first then put the polish on last well this lady polished my teeth first then went to clean them last I never experienced anything like that so I had a very bad experience today it was a waste. read more

Came here with my wife for her 1120 appointment, which we checked in at 1119. After 15 minutes of waiting, my wife asked when she will be seen, and the receptionist told her appointment is actually at 1140. I know for sure when we made the appointment we booked for 1120. My wife even double checked the appointment time before hanging up. So why did the time change without her being notified? Anyways, we decided that it wasn't a big deal so we waited, since it was only few minutes from 1140. 1140 came by, nothing. 1145, nothing. 1150, nothing. 1155, nothing. 1200, nothing. 1202, just when decided to just cancel the appointment and find a different dentist, my wife finally gets called in for her appointment. And oh by the way, a handful of people that came in after us were seen before my wife. For whatever reasons for the delay, at minimum my wife should've been notified for the delay, especially after they incorrectly scheduled her appointment. But I have a feeling that they don't care much here. read more

TERRIBLE DENTIST OFFICE. I was charged extra 125.00 for extra x Ray's. They gave me a so called deep teeth cleaning and were going to charge me more money. The cleaning was super bloody and very painful. They did not offer me anasthesia or numbing cream. I made complaint and never heard back from office manager. . the head dentist Dr. Clepper calls me to make excuses and says hygienist dropped the ball, etc. To top it off, they charged 3times the amount of a traditional cleaning and told me my insurance carrier had dropped my coverage and this was not true. Bad dentistry. Stay away. I put in a complaint with my insurance carrier. Planning to make complaint with American dental association and Georgia board of dentistry against West Augusta dental Associates on wheeler Rd Augusta Georgia. My husband and I had our 4th visit with this group today and once again, we were very pleased. Being a new mom, trying to figure out appointments hasn't be the most fun but they staggered our appointments so we could take turns and still got us in and out in an hour! My teeth felt great and I was very pleased with the job that was done. I also love that they checked and double checked that xrays were covered by our new insurance company before they got started on them. (Had one place say they checked before my appointment and they didn't and so I got stuck with that bill.) So long as we are in this town, this is where we will be going. *** BEWARE**** The office staff are rude. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago and they decided to contact my husband and verified another appointment time. They claimed there was no phone number associated with the appointment made. After calling to speak with the office manage, STEPHANIE who is also a prolific liar, took the initiative and asked if she could assist me. After giving her a few details she consistently cut me off, I told her the information provided to my spouse made no sense and they should have contacted me. She then stated" I will no longer speak with you" after realizing the explanation she gave was incorrect and had no basis whatsoever. She demonstrated a superiority complex and became inferior after having to justify herself to a minority woman. This is office is use to speaking with and servicing those unable to advocate and or articulate there less than acceptable service, however I hope that they are able to clean up their act. Adding to this debacle was my husbands billing, apparently their office isn't familiar with ICD billing codes and billed the insurance incorrectly, leaving an office balance incorrectly sent. Being a longtime patient of August Dental Associates, it is fair to say going to the Dentist is not my favorite place to be. However, this past week I had an appointment with Dr. Turner for a crown. In all my visits to a dentist, I must commend Dr. Turner. It was the BEST unpleasant experience I have ever had in the Dentist Chair. Dr Turner and his team were very kind and efficient. I absolutely LOVE this place! Tori is my hygienist and she's super friendly, always smiling, talks to you so there's no awkward silence and she's really gentle with her cleaning. Dr. Smith is great, however, the rest of the staff is inept and unprofessional. I signed in and literally sat in their waiting area for over forty minutes and NOBODY told me I didn't have an appointment. Apparently, my appointment was cancelled for no reason. When I asked customer service a simple question in a respectable way, they required more and more information and eventually backtracked suddenly saying "they are not taking new patients" and the hung up on me. I really don't like going to the dentist, but it's necessary if you want to keep you choppers, and I can't think of a better place to go than Dr. Cleppers office. I have been going here for over a decade and they have always been professional, courteous, on time when you arrive, and it feels like home. Maurine is always there to greet you and answer any questions, set appointments and follow up. My hygienist, Lisa has cleaned my teeth for what seems like forever, and honestly I hate to go eat something after I leave there because my teeth look and feel so good. I went to West Augusta Dental Associates to have a chipped tooth fixed, One year later the filling broke off. I went back knowing there would be a charge but they charged more the second time than the first. What bothers me is the way they did it. they billed me in office like they did the first time, and said I was paid in full. then sent me an additional bill in the mail two months later with a late fee attached. I called and asked for an explanation and they said they had to fill an additional side of the tooth the second time. it was the exact same chip with the exact same fix. I paid twice and the second time paid more than the first. In addition, they made the fixed tooth shorter than the other tooth right in the front of my mouth! read more

Excellent teeth cleaning, but the dentist was not what I'm accustomed to. He did not review my X-rays with me or offer any advice on improving my dental hygiene. Let me start off by saying this is Absolutely a wonderful place to go for all your dental needs!!! I am super picky when it comes to picking out dentist. They have to make a big impression on me to continue coming. The office staff were friendly. And the dental hygienist was very sweet. My appointment was at 930am and I arrived 25 mins early. They were able to take me to the back right away. I was out of the office by 9:40am. Dr. Turner was very friendly and super thorough. I'm looking forward to my next visit to have my teeth worked on.
