They have makerspaces here at this branch, sewing/embroidery , etching, and so many other things. I love to garden and I saw they even have seed swaps and classes from guest speakers. If you are looking or community the library and EBRPL system as a whole does a really good job at connecting others. It feels "old school" but def a cool space. Also the building is very nice and modern, so its totally a win win.

So much to do! The…read moreweather this particular morning was so rainy but it cleared up later. So I wanted to get the boys outside to play & run off some energy. We attended the River Center Library's children area. It was so nice & very spacious with various stations. We colored a few different pages, played at the kitchen set & assembled a puzzle. There's even a iPad with a game of the day & a larger digital activity table with various learning games for toddlers too. My 3yo spent most of the time playing a game matching shapes. The staff was super friendly & helped us navigate whatever we didn't understand. We're currently potty training & used the bathrooms which were super clean & kid friendly. There's an outdoor terrace that's available on the top floor but was closed due to weather. We look forward to visiting that part this weekend.

We spent a lot of time as kids downtown Baton Rouge AKA "Red Stick" its french. OuiOui. My brother & I leaned to roller skate in the Capitol park here when we were kids. It's an amazing place indeed. French Louisiana *is* the state with the most spectacular history, food & ART. No one can deny its relentless beauty and uniqueness. When I asked for disability accommodations, the process dragged on so long that I never received anything in time. I was left unprotected, unsupported, and ultimately forced to drop out. LSU talks about helping students, but when you actually need protection or timely accommodations, they disappear.

Beware though you can't bring your purse no matter the size upstairs in researching area they do have lockers downstairs to put them in. Don't forget your state issued ID you also need that to enter the building and then again once upstairs you have to show it again. The elevator was locked on our visit so we had to use the stairs, yeah it's healthier but I have 3 disc ruptured and herniated in my back so not much fun. 4* for unique information and take 1 * away for the locked elevator. This place is on LSU campus and the grounds are beautiful also beware no parking so it's a walk from the information parking area

Look in the mirror for once...I should be calling police on you. Stacks seem to be a little light, maybe from all the books MAGA Republicans have challenged and burned. But nonetheless a good resource for the community from what I can tell
