The service was not great, there were many mistakes. Food was also less than satisfactory for the steep price.

The WORST dining experience ever!…read more Heads up, do not order the Oysters, they gave myself, my mother and husband FOOD POISONING!!!! AVOID Loch Fyne has got to be at the top of my list for the worst place I've eaten at in my life! We visited here on the 2nd January 2020 and this review has been written on the 14th January as I have tried to give the restaurant plenty of time to rectify the matter, but they haven't!! My husband and myself took my mum here for lunch. We started off by ordering 12 Oysters to share - 4 each then each had an entree and main course. We were told by the waiter that the oysters were fresh so we went ahead and ordered them. They came with Tabasco, lemon and shallots in red wine vinegar which I wish we didn't use as this probably disguised the freshness. They didn't look like the freshest oysters I have seen but I trusted the restaurant - being a seafood restaurant that they wouldn't serve us something that could potentially kill us! We are 100% Sure that it was the oysters as they were the only thing we all ate that was the same. The following day I got really sick and was up vomiting all night, followed by my husband and I called my mum up the next morning and she too was also sick. We had zero sleep that night and had to drive to the airport in the morning so it was a very uncomfortable trip. Eating at Loch Fyne was the worst experience ever, I have never been sick from something I've eaten so I am pretty pissed off that I got this ill from a restaurant. I reported this to the Council / Health department right away and they are investigating the matter. I also emailed management and they have been really slack in getting back to me and haven't even offered me a refund even though I am able to prove that we have seen our Dr and he confirms that we had food poisoning. While I have never written a negative review before like this I believe it is important to tell others about this restaurant as if I had taken my grandparents here, they would most likely have died as a result of eating here.

As for not being accessible for disabled people, that's just a right out lie, my good friend had a stroke and still continues to go to The Crab & Lobster on a constant basis. Yes, it's out in the middle of nowhere, but that's part of the charm. The food is brilliant, which is to be expected since it's fresh caught right off the coast daily. It's a pricey but that's also to be expected. The interior is beautiful and homely with the feel of a good old fashioned wooden harbor pub. I really don't understand that ladies 1 star. Give this place a shot and you won't be disappointed, it's amazing and the staff and good natured and friendly. Cheers!

We took lovely walks on the beach and chatted with friendly locals who gave us a lot of local background. We drove into the village of Bembridge and visited the church and the shops...lots more friendly people met along the way. Dinner was amazing. We reserved for 7pm (recommended) and were blown away by the lovely staff and excellent food. We had a crab appetizer to start and then I had steak and onion pie with fries and peas and my wife had the lobster dumplings. Sampled the local beer, Fuggel de dum, and just had a lovely evening. In the morn we had the place to ourselves for a wonderful cooked breakfast. My wife had the Mate's brekkie (full English) and I had egg and sausage breakfast sandwich. All served by the manager who regaled us with stories and local lore. We would like to come back here in the future and stay longer. Very relaxing and quiet spot.

Twelve Eatery - Vegan chocolate torte with blood orange sorbet

Most of the food is prepared on the premises, i.e. they don't buy in factory-made meat substitutes. The restaurant itself is decorated in a modern take on art deco, in pinks and greens, with subdued lighting. There is a main eating area at the front and a smaller area at the rear, past the bar area. The rear area has a view into the kitchen if you like to see your food being prepared. We had the Twelve veggie-burger and a Tofu Teriyaki, followed by the chocolate torte, the dulce-de-leche cheesecake and a mango sorbet. The food was very good (be warned, the veggie burgers are very filling): full of flavour, and easy to forget you were eating vegetarian food. The puddings were especially good (the blood orange sorbet is to die for). We also had two alcohol-free beers and an organic Picpoul de pinet (both very nice). They provided tap water for free. Service was very friendly and possibly slightly too helpful, in terms of spelling out their vegan credentials in detail. It was also very relaxed - in the sense of being just a little too slow for us. But the overall experience was very enjoyable, and they were certainly doing good business (booking is recommended on Friday and Saturday evenings). The total bill came to £110 for three people, two courses each, with wine/beer.

The first thing I was struck by was the decor. It feels a bit like Art Deco era Miami -- very chill, good energy. Then you meet the staff who could not be more welcoming, knowledgeable, or passionate. Never thought I'd be so excited about kombucha but their passion is infectious. Then the food. The food! *emphatic chef's kiss* We got the burrata, scallops, burger, and cheesecake. I was only able to get one pic before I couldn't stop myself from devouring everything. I anticipate that I'll be at Twelve so often that they'll start charging me rent. Worth it.
