Wonderful late night option for a weekend emergency. They listened to our list of concerns, and were patient with us. They did mention there fees early on, however I appreciate them being upfront and clear. Emergency medical care is expensive, they do accept care credit, which is very nice. Amazing staff. Got our Golden in super fast. Great doctor, great receptionist. All around great service. Not overpriced. It's too bad this isn't a vets office because I would 100% bring all of my dogs here every time. Definitely recommend this location. Our golden had a pretty bad eye infection and they gave her a steroid shot and eye ointment. Seems to be working well just over an hour after our appointment. read more

Having a pet emergency late at night is a scary thing. Our regular veterinarian refers their patients to West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Services. I am grateful they are there. The staff was supportive and Dr. Anthony F was professional yet compassionate. While decisions needed to be made and time given for the human Dad of this beautiful dog to make a two hour trip to be able to say good bye our beloved grand dog was well cared for and while there was nothing medically that could be done to save her , she was given treatment that kept her comfortable to give time for proper good byes. I had read the reviews posted before we departed to the facility and yes they did concern me. Here is a little advice that I hope you never need. 1. Do not be offended that when you call or walk in that they must tell you how much walking in the door cost. 2. Understand that the services offered most likely will be expensive and they must let you know so you can make an intelligent decision. 3. Be grateful that this emergency service exists. I know I am. I could not imagine watching a dog suffer through the night until our vet was in his office. Our pets deserve the best. Even to her last breath, and in the hands of strangers that is what she was given. read more

My dog had emergency surgery at my vet late on a Friday because he had a mass on his spleen that had burst and he was bleeding into his abdomen. His heart kept going into arrhythmia and they couldn't get it to stop so they wanted him monitored over the weekend so they wanted me to take him here. The staff were wonderful and answered my question every time I called to check on him and if the doctor was available would let me talk to the doctor. They took excellent care of my dog and I got to bring him home on a Sunday morning. I can't recommend them enough! they were all kind and professional! read more

I don't ever want to go to this facility again. NOT WELCOMING. I get out of the car with a family pet in distress and the vet tech or receptionist comes outside to tell me about their fees, before I even stepped in the door. On their website it says to to expect to fill out admitting paperwork WHILE your pet is being triaged". THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. The paperwork came first.....as our pet was wheezing and having TROUBLE BREATHING!!!. Pressuring me to make a quick decision to sign a paper stating I would pay "Up to $500" to take the animal back right away for triage was heartless. I just kept wondering WHY DON'T YOU TAKE HER BACK and let the vet see her then tell me how much you think it will cost??? It wasn't my pet so I couldn't make that decision right away. Because of that, suddenly their pace slowed down and I felt like we were not important to them. THE ONLY reason I'm not giving it a 1 star is because The VET was friendly-once we finally got to see her. And the fact they are open during the night. This is the 2nd experience I've had there and both times I was met with very unwelcoming staff. read more

I would give a no stars if possible. My personal experience was terrible! Dr. Shattuck was very rude, cold and judgmental! She was worried more about judging me than helping our dog. We had just found a tumor on our older dog. Something I missed and felt very bad about. I was already very upset. Seriously would a person run a hour from where they live? I called as soon as I found it. This lady seemed to just want to argue And hadn't even seen the dog yet. After seeing our dog, Then charged me $240 which I found out that it should have been $110 plus meds. I would not recommend this vet office. Btw.... the vet that took care of my dog the next day was completely understanding of the situation. Hopefully this review helps others. read more

Without a doubt, the WORST veterinary clinic I have ever dealt with. Dr. Sharon is the nastiest, coldest, rudest woman I could imagine. My mother in law took her 14 year old dog in there and because she was crying, Dr. Sharon told her she was ABNORMAL. My husband and I were on the phone and when we asked questions, she asked if we were a vet. Apparently we aren't allowed to have questions about an animal we love. I can't imagine treating people that way. If you want to be treated with compassion, I recommend going somewhere else. And if you need the emergency vet, avoid Dr. Sharon read more

My parents just went in with their 14 year old dachshund. Dr Sharon was terrible. My mother kept me on speaker phone. She blamed my parents for busting three of his teeth out as well as calling my mother abnormal for caring for her dog. She said my parent should've known what to expect bringing him in at his age. Can't say enough good things about the West Central Ohio Vet Clinic. We've been there a few times with our pets. They are very thorough with their explanations and take their time helping us through some tough situations with our pets. It's a comforting feeling knowing they are there. My first and recent experience with the clinic at 3 a.m..was fantastic. Dr. McCullough and Terza(sp?) the vet tech could not have been more caring and compassionate. My Shih Tzu was extremely I'll and, after running tests, the Dr. referred me on to Med Vet in Columbus for further testing and care as he needed more specialized care. Dr McCulllough even went out of his way to contact Care Credit for me to see if I could increase my credit line as the expected cost of care in Columbus was going to be higher than I could afford. Rather than have to see me make a choice of losing my dog due to no funds he went the extra mile. And Terza was so kind to me, as well. I'd recommend them anytime for an emergency. read more
