Dr. Akbik offers a variety of interventions in his practice focused on reduction of pain. the pain management plan you develop with him is specific to you and tailored to your healthcare needs. I happen to have a timber of complex,chronic health condisins whose h chronic pain is merely one of a bunch. Dr Akbik really treated you as a whole taking into account the plans of other specialists. His pain mgmt plans consist of so much more than just prescription pain meds. Plans require an actively engaged patient - not just checking in monthly to get pills like some practices. Through a variety of interventions he has given me a quality of life that I never believed possible. I have so much less pain on less medication that I'd been previously prescribed. He cautioned me at the start that my pain hadn't just developed overnight and that the plan to manage that pai. might also take some time and tweaked to the plan till he got it just right. It was so very true- over time the plan morphed into what it is today. I know my needs might change over time but for now I have something that completely manages my pain. That's probably mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find a new family physician though... As a teenager, I had frequent bouts of strep throat, but never the kind that was detected by the rapid swab tests. Even though this became apparent rather quickly, I can't tell you the number of times I had to make numerous trips to Dr. Farber's office when my rapid tests would come back negative and he would tell me it wasn't strep, yet a few days later, the symptoms persisted. I will give their office props for one thing, though: Shortly after I graduated college and was unemployed with no health insurance, I broke my foot. Since I was an established patient at the office, they worked with me to charge me a minimal amount for my visit and they also worked out a deal with the imaging center where I had my x-ray. I was so grateful not to have to worry about being able to afford getting care for my foot and they took excellent care of me. So, while he might not be the sharpest crayon in the medical box, Dr. Farber is a great guy, and he does look out for his patients.

EXAMPLE BILL $395 CO-PAY $45 BALANCE $350 PLAN AGREEMENT $325 PLAN PAID $25 so doctor eats $325 Dr. Shapiro is PRIVATE and he is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE BEST TO HAVE ON YOUR SIDE AND HAVE YOUR BACK, you pay for what you get, my son's life was not worth short cutting and being cheap, Dr. Shapiro has the right to pick and chose who he deals with everyone out there has the right to decide where they want to go, but every penny I spent I would have gladly paid twice as much insurance or not this is our doctor for life, I'll eat peanut and crackers before I switch doctors. He will charge you for a full hour, even though every other appointment you will ever have with him will only take 10-15 minutes. Then try to give you the guilt trip that because you missed 1 appointment in 2-3 years that it hurt him financially and he has bills to pay too.
