Sometimes the front office staff and or nurses are having bad days, but my Dr, Kay Johnson is always consistent with me. She listens and never has one foot out the door. On occasion I have been a little concerned with the lack of a thorough exam (such as listening to my heart) but overall i've received excellent care whether sick or routine visit. The building itself includes a lab, orthopedist and some other specialists so it is essentially a one stop shop. It is always clean and well organized. There is a large parking lot, but getting in and out can be a little tough on busy Montgomery Rd. Added bonus, they now have a nice online portal where you can communicate, have virtual visits, and view bloodwork or invoices.

I had an unfortunate experience with Blatman Health and Wellness which was related to their…read morebusiness practices. I was charged $600 at the time of my initial visit and was told that a future (second) visit was included... $300 for the first and $300 for the next visit. At the time I thought that practice was odd but I didn't complain, expecting to return at a later date. After several cancellations due to personal conflicts and after researching alternative practices and processes, I decided to go in a different (and what I believe is a better direction) to address my health concerns. When I called to request a credit, I was put on hold, the call dropped, I called back and was transferred to another employee only to find out that there was a different understanding of the credit to be provided. After about an hour, I received a callback from Shane the Business Manager about my request. He indicated that I would only be receiving a $200 credit, not $300 as I expected. After much discussion, he indicated that the $200 credit was final and he would issue a check. I told him I did not agree with this decision and explained that I would be providing a review/ complaint about this business practice. I recommended that the staff should explain this business practice with patients before receiving care so this practice it is clearly understood.

I happen to have a timber of complex,chronic health condisins whose h chronic pain is merely one of a bunch. Dr Akbik really treated you as a whole taking into account the plans of other specialists. His pain mgmt plans consist of so much more than just prescription pain meds. Plans require an actively engaged patient - not just checking in monthly to get pills like some practices. Through a variety of interventions he has given me a quality of life that I never believed possible. I have so much less pain on less medication that I'd been previously prescribed. He cautioned me at the start that my pain hadn't just developed overnight and that the plan to manage that pai. might also take some time and tweaked to the plan till he got it just right.
