I have been a patient at this office for some time and have experienced the same problems repeatedly, with no improvement. Every single appointment, I wait at least an hour in the lobby before being called back, despite arriving on time or early. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What makes this worse is watching other patients, who arrived after me and had later appointment times, be called back before me. There is no explanation offered and no apology.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The office has never once asked me to update my health history. I never experienced this at other dental offices, and it created a serious problem when I was pregnant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff only became aware of my pregnancy because they were eavesdropping on a private conversation I was having with another patient in the lobby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had already consulted my doctor before the appointment, and they confirmed I was fine to be seen since I was not getting x-rays. Despite this, after I waited an hour and a half in the lobby, the office told me they could not see me without a doctor's note, even for a standard cleaning. I called my doctor afterward to request the note and explained the situation. They said a note was not necessary for a routine cleaning and that they had never been asked for one in that context before. This entire situation could have been avoided if the office simply collected updated health history like every other dental practice does, rather than relying on overheard conversations to learn about their patients. At a more recent appointment scheduled for x-rays and a cleaning, I waited over an hour in the lobby, completed my x-rays, then waited an additional 30 minutes in the treatment room before being told the doctor was over 40 minutes behind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told I would need to reschedule my cleaning. I rescheduled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the rescheduled appointment, I again waited over an hour in the lobby. Once called back, I waited another 30 minutes to be seen by the dentist, whose evaluation took under three minutes. I asked two different staff members for a status update during that wait. After the dentist told me a hygienist would be right in, I waited an additional 15 minutes before asking again. The hygienist who finally came was visibly rushed, openly acknowledged they were behind, and skipped steps during my cleaning. I have now spent well over two hours at appointments where less than 20 minutes of actual care was provided. This is a pattern, not an occasional bad day. I do not recommend this office. read more

They give false insurance coverage information and when I found myself stuck with a bill from their office I found out they scheduled me with an "out of network dentist " at their office. This office failed to enroll properly through Delta Dental, leaving me to figure out their discrepancy that led to me being billed out of pocket due to their ignorance and them refusing to make things right. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was forced to do the leg work with insurance multiple times and therefore my family and I are done with this unprofessional office.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Additionally, they scheduled my for deep cleaning and spread the cleaning over 3 visits, I can only assume it's due to some sort of insurance scheme to get more money out of them and I. In the process of my cleaning, the scraping Pick was broken in my mouth and lodged in my gums. Zero stars. Spent two hours there last week for a cleaning/exam (dentist told me "we all have things to do" yeah no crap, that's why we make appointments! Had two chipped teeth so they filled them same day - would have came back another day if they didn't have time. Came home, filling on one tooth came out that night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Called to make an appt to get it fixed and was given an 8am appt for Friday which was perfect as it was a holiday and I didn't have to miss work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I showed up 5 mins early, before half the staff even arrived, and waited 25 mins which is fine... only to have the staff confused about who did my filling in the first place and then was told they made the appt wrong and I can't be seen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was offered the opportunity to come back at 1:00 or wait hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As I told the office manager, I'm done with this staff. First time we were there there was a similar issue with not having the correct appointment type and I had to come back for the cleaning but I gave them the benefit of the doubt but when it is the norm I have to value my time more. Oh and side note, at my exam last week the female dentist didn't even notice the broken tooth in the center front of my mouth and I had to point it out to the manager and when I asked to get it fixed the dentist was confused about why that tooth was more bothersome than the other - the tooth was broken in half! So not only do they not value your time, I question their ability to do their job well. read more

A wonderful first time experience that kept going downhill. Was having pain and was able to get a same day appt right away. No wait time, went straight back and got to work. A 3 appt cleaning disaster. Not sure how often cleanings that take less than 30 minutes are divided into 3 appts. I was in pain with every needle stick and the hygienist did a poor job of numbing me. Never again! They'll charge you for every visit despite having insurance and waste your day waiting. My dentist was great but the hygienist left me in pain and charged for any and everything. I recommend finding another place that's upfront, gentle and doesn't waste your time. read more

The dental staff is great! Dr. M. is a great dentist and communicator and Tricia is an awesome and thorough hygienist. The office staff needs to learn from the dentists and hygienists...they have poor communication skills. I had a 9am schedule appointment yesterday with Tricia and because they overbook, my appointment got bumped to almost 10am. I understand time us money, but patients have schedules and lives, too. When I mentioned this to the receptionist and how I'd probably get charged a late fee or would be reschedule, she said they don't do that. I then said maybe we, the patients should with you. Other patients in the waiting room agreed. If you schedule patients, honor their appointment times first and be respectful. read more

My first appointment was at 2pm- after waiting an hour I decided to leave. The receptionist called to reschedule - my second appointment was at 8am - after waiting 35 minutes I left. Durning my extended wait at both appointments I could hear staff make numerous phone calls on speaker phone to confirm patient insurance coverage/information. This is a huge privacy violation as I overheard patient's full name, date of birth and policy information. Terrible experience - I will not be returning to any West Coast Dental offices. read more

Had a wonderful first experience with two of my three children. Wait times were not bad, staff was friendly, dentist was attentive. THEN my son's appointment came the next day. Waited 40 minutes to be seen for the appointment. Took his X-rays and did his check up and then told us there was no time to do his cleaning and we would have to return. During his exam, the dentist told us he would need some fillings taken care of but they wouldn't do them for us because he would need a pediatric dentist and their pediatric dentist doesn't accept our insurance even though the primary dentist does. I left confused and called my insurance. They informed me that over the age of 7, a pediatric dentist is not required. My son is 11. The insurance rep calls this office to clarify and they tell my insurance that my son was not cooperative and that is why they will not fill his cavities. I explain to the insurance that this is not true and that he wasn't able to have his cleaning done because they told us they didn't have time. Finally insurance says they have it handled and the office schedules us his appointment the following month. I confirmed FOUR TIMES that the cleaning and filling will be done at this appointment. When we went today, they did his cleaning and sealants and then told us that's all they would do because only a pediatric dentist can fill his fillings. This time they gave the excuse that their dentist doesn't know how to do children's fillings even though they worked on my 8 year old daughters and multiple other children that had appointments while we were there. HIGHLY disappointed in the staff and the lying. STAY FAR AWAY from this dental office. read more

I Was always nervous when it came to visiting the dentist. Past experiences have been overwhelming and horrible. BUT this location opened up 10 minutes from our home and I was in need of emergency dental care. The dental office is clean and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. What knocked this out of the park for me was the quality care from the dental assistants and Dr Modera. The Dr was very thorough explaining treatment plan and recommendations, and periodically checked in on how I'm doing while treatment was being performed. I came to get some dental work done as I live literally a few blocks away . The office was impressive nice and clean , new location . The staff very friendly . However twice already I've had issues / delays as they seem to be understaffed . Not sure if this is caused due to holidays or it being a semi new location . Will come back and update after a few more visits . The staff is friendly however as a patient / customer when given an appointment it is important to value and acknowledge the persons time . Maybe revisit or make changes with the booking process / coordinator of this office . I hope they get this fixed soon , love having a dental office so close to home . read more

the only reason I stayed at this place so long was because they are close to my home and convenient but I will not be going there any longer. first off, I scheduled a bleaching and i arrived on time and waited 45 minutes to be told they ran out of kits over the weekend. ok stuff happens, so I rescheduled for 2 days later. arrived on time and waited 30 minutes to be told they forgot the gel. no apologies and was asked to reschedule again. I canceled and asked for a refund. this is not a place that respects your time, on my other visits I consistently wait an hour after my appointment time to be seen then they put you on a chair where you wait longer. they are overbooking themselves and don't have the manpower to meet the demands. I wasn't offered any type of discount for my time wasted. strongly do not recommend this place. read more
