Finding Jeff and his WCO team was the miracles of miracles this summer!!! I can't even begin to convey how highly I recommend Jeff for his responsiveness, professionalism, personal attention to detail, and excellent prices. Here is how we found him: My wife and I originally made a deal with one of the big, national companies that constantly offers "half-off" promotions on their junk mailers (side note: it's not really half off, they just artificially double the price and then reduce it to the same rates Jeff originally charges). Anyway, on the day of installation for our two master bedroom closets, the National company shows up late with the WRONG plans and the installer blames me for the misunderstanding. Their dispatcher has no idea where my order is in their system, and the supervisor was a condescending jerk. So my wife and I fired them and started to frantically call every other big brand-name installer in LA, only to be told that the earliest available appointment would be mid-October!! It was unreal - our closets were completely gutted and our clothes were spread all over our spare bedroom. Fortunately, we found West Coast Organizers via this very Yelp page and appreciated the positive reviews about Jeff. When we called the number, Jeff personally answered the phone - no small army of dispatchers and customer service reps; just one man running a small, local business! I was so relieved to talk directly to him and not have to press 5 different menu options and be on hold for an hour. Jeff came over the very next day, took measurements and reviewed the concepts the designer from the National closet company made. He pointed out many mistakes, including that the closet design would have blocked the access panel to our master tub and that several feet of top space would have gone unused. Jeff gave us an estimated installation date of 10 days. He called 7 days later and said everything was ready, so he installed both of our closets 2 days earlier than expected!! We recently had West Coast Organizers give our closets a full makeover and custom-build a maple cabinet and shelf unit--and we couldn't be happier with the results. Jeff and his co-owner came out for the initial appointment, took all the measurements, and gave us the quote on the spot. No back-and-forth or waiting around. Their communication from start to finish was outstanding--clear, professional, and always prompt. Jeff personally oversaw the whole project, and it shows in the quality and attention to detail. We had two closets redone--a walk-in and a reach-in. The reach-in now has seven adjustable shelves that we're using for shoes, plus four smooth-gliding drawers. The walk-in was a bit more complex, with some layout obstacles to work around, but they handled it like pros. It now has two drawers, flexible shelving, and upper and lower chrome hanging bars that really maximize every inch of space. They also built a beautiful maple shelving and cabinet unit into a recessed wall space. It was custom color-matched to our kitchen cabinets (which we didn't even think was possible!), and the results are flawless. The bottom third has three doors for hidden storage, and the upper shelves are perfect for books and knick-knacks. It's become a real focal point of the room. Installation for the closets was done in under two weeks, and the custom maple unit was completed before the third week as promised. Everything was fast, clean, and fairly priced. On top of that, Jeff and his team were just genuinely friendly, courteous, and easy to have in our home. Jeff even hit it off with our cats--always a good sign! We'd absolutely recommend West Coast Organizers to anyone looking to upgrade their closet space or add beautiful custom cabinetry. We just finished a 3-closet remodel with Jeff and I have no hesitation in giving him a very good recommendation. His quote was very fair for the work done and his installation was when he said it would be. He and his crew worked for two days during the hottest heat wave in the Valley to get the job completed. He is very responsive and responsible. We had some concerns after the installation and needed a few things fixed but he came back immediately and took care of it. We've dealt with other vendors for projects and those experiences were costly, stressful and done poorly but I am so happy to say that the opposite applies to Jeff and West Coast Organizers. Fantastic job! We did not plan ahead properly and needed the job done quickly, Jeff told us he would finish it in 10 days to and was able to even come a few days earlier and work on Saturday to have it done for us even quicker than promised. Every other company we spoke to had told us it would be 4-6 weeks or even longer, one company was able to do in 2 weeks and came out with fancy drawing software etc however we went with Jeff after he pointed out MAJOR construction considerations that the other company had completely missed. ie. floor not being level, pipe in the way of hanging bar and several other small details that would have made that company's fancy plans just simply not work. We had a good experience with West Coast Organizers. On our last house we had one of those large closet companies build out a custom step in and while it was fine at the end of the process, getting there came with a lot of hurdles we didn't want to deal with again. When we moved into our new house, custom closets in our main bedroom were first on my wishlist - one walk in & one reach in. Jeff responded quickly, asked for confirmation that I had already received a quote elsewhere, then made himself available to meet at my house the next day. When he arrived, I explained what I wanted and he told me what he could offer. I was hoping we'd get a better deal (based on these yelp reviews saying they saved a ton) but the price was around the same as the big brand. We went with Jeff because his installation timeline was two weeks, better than the 3 month estimate given by the big brand company. After a full day install, we have two beautifully built custom closets in our bedroom and I can't stop looking at them! We did have a minor communication issue about painting. I was under the impression they were painting the whole closet, it was really just a patch/touch up - so be sure to get a color match for your closet if you pay for this service. Mediocre craftsmanship, at best. Showed up for installation at a different time than promised. Incorrect installation of some items. Also, missing items required several unreturned phone calls to rectify. In addition, the shelving, walls and floors were not cleaned very well after installation. On a positive note, we have closets but, at some point, all the mistakes will have to be fixed. As a note, there were several reviews that mirrored our experience, but they have since disappeared.
