The benefits of this place (security and cleanliness) are not worth the price. If you are going to get a storage unit, don't get one here unless you want to be faced with unending rent increases.

Much to our surprise, the truck actually had well over 100,000 miles yet still drove like new! The truck handled extremely well and was relatively comfortable...well, as comfortable as a 26' box truck can be. Kyle made the process for the booking extremely easy and worked with us for a 7 AM quick pick-up as well as a later drop-off to meet our specific needs. We'll definitely use Ryder again and appreciate all the help and communication before, during, and after our reservation.

Day before the critical move date, somebody from this outfit calls and says "You do not have a truck. We do not honor personal reservations." And YES, that is a quote! Tried to ask about other truck sizes, locations, etc. Ryder employee simply continues parroting "You do not have a truck. We do not honor personal reservations". He was apparently hired for his stunning customer skills. After three rounds of that I hung up. Had a great experience with their competitor. We will never rent from any Ryder company in any capacity ever again.

I rented an aerator and mentioned that I had never used one before. The staff did take a moment to explain how it works, which was helpful. I also asked at the front desk whether I should use a trailer to transport it, and was told it shouldn't be necessary since they could load it into my truck using their ramp. Three employees loaded the aerator into the bed of my truck (with a canopy), rolled it in, and we closed the tailgate. As I was slowly pulling out to get onto Highway 99, the machine rolled forward, breaking through the canopy glass and shattering the rear window of my truck. What's most frustrating is that no one mentioned that the aerator can freely roll or that it needs to be secured during transport. For someone who has never used this type of equipment, that's critical information. When I returned to the store, I was told, "it has wheels and it'll move," which came across as dismissive. The owner pointed to a sign stating they are not responsible for damage during loading. While I understand liability policies, this situation could have easily been prevented with a simple warning or basic guidance. I've been a long-time customer and regularly rent equipment here, which makes this especially disappointing. I expect better communication and care, especially when safety and potential damage are involved.
