I've used a few different storage facilities in the past and I have to say that WCSS - Sheridan…read moreBeach tops them all. First of all, the facility is very secure and I feel very comfortable storing my things there and being on the property even at night. Each renter has their own individual entrance code to get beyond the gate and to take the elevator. The elevator will only take the renter to their individual floor, adding another layer of security. Another cool thing is that on many of their units the door is on the wide side of the unit (e.g., for a 10 x 5, the door is on the 10' side) which makes it really easy to access your stuff without having to take a bunch of stuff out. When I first started storing there I worked mostly with Tiffany, the manager. She provided great customer service and was always willing to go the extra mile to answer questions and provide me with additional information. On top of that she is very friendly and positive and it makes for great interactions with her. I recently began working with Scott, the assistant manager, when I needed to upgrade to a bigger storage space. I wasn't sure what size I needed and I was in a time crunch, so I was frazzled and indecisive but was so grateful that Scott was so patient and helpful. He was very understanding and worked to make the transition go smoothly even with all my indecisiveness. He really went the extra mile to find me a solution to my expanded storage needs that was close to my current storage space and without incurring a lot of extra costs. I am really grateful for his help during this stressful time. I also had the pleasure of working with Colby, who was in training when I met him. He presented as very knowledgeable and personable and was very willing to help provide a great customer experience. Thank you to all of you!

I rented a 5'x10' unit here because the advertised rate of about $70/month seemed like one of the…read morefew semi-reasonable numbers left in the world. In hindsight, that price feels less like an actual offer and more like a "welcome brochure" written by someone who knows you won't be paying it for long. The facility itself is fine. Four walls, a door, does what it says on the tin. No complaints there. The pricing, however, is where things get creative. After about 8 months, my rent quietly leveled up to $115/month for the exact same unit. No upgrades, no changes, no additional services--just a new number that appears on your bill like it was always meant to be there. Meanwhile, new customers are still being brought in at around $70-75/month. So the system is clearly working: step one, get you in with a normal-ish price; step two, remind you that stability is a myth. When I asked about it, I was given the classic "economic factors" explanation, which has become the modern equivalent of shrugging while your wallet disappears. It's hard not to notice the pattern here. It feels less like pricing and more like a slow game of "how much inconvenience will you tolerate before moving all your stuff just becomes your second job." And honestly, it fits right in with the general theme of modern life, where everything vaguely necessary seems designed with a quiet assumption that you will eventually run out of energy to keep arguing about it. So yes--technically it's a storage unit. But it also doubles as a gentle reminder that the starting price is more of a mood than a promise. If you're considering renting here, just assume the advertised rate is the opening chapter, not the story you're actually signing up for.

I rented an aerator and mentioned that I had never used one before. The staff did take a moment to explain how it works, which was helpful. I also asked at the front desk whether I should use a trailer to transport it, and was told it shouldn't be necessary since they could load it into my truck using their ramp. Three employees loaded the aerator into the bed of my truck (with a canopy), rolled it in, and we closed the tailgate. As I was slowly pulling out to get onto Highway 99, the machine rolled forward, breaking through the canopy glass and shattering the rear window of my truck. What's most frustrating is that no one mentioned that the aerator can freely roll or that it needs to be secured during transport. For someone who has never used this type of equipment, that's critical information. When I returned to the store, I was told, "it has wheels and it'll move," which came across as dismissive. The owner pointed to a sign stating they are not responsible for damage during loading. While I understand liability policies, this situation could have easily been prevented with a simple warning or basic guidance. I've been a long-time customer and regularly rent equipment here, which makes this especially disappointing. I expect better communication and care, especially when safety and potential damage are involved.
