I wish I could give them 10 stars! They rescued me from nightmare situation with Nova Tire Center and another tow company that never showed up. I had been waiting 4 hours for the tow company Mercedes contracted, and they finally called around to multiple tow companies to find someone who could get to me quickly. West Coast Tow isn't contracted with them, so they paid them directly. I called West Coast Tow, spoke to Mr. Tom and explained the condition Nova Tire Center left my tire in and that we could not drive the vehicle onto a flatbed. He'd already had a flatbed on the way to me. He had me text him pictures and said he would personally come and bring a different truck with a dolly so there was no further damage caused to my rim and car. He arrived in 10 minutes and handled the situation with so much grace and care. I had been incredibly frustrated after dealing with this situation for the last 5 hours, and encountering a good human after all of this made my day so much better. I was planning to take a ride share to meet them at the dealership, but he offered for me to ride with them. When we arrived to the dealership, he didn't rush to dump my car. He drove to the back so there would be no damage, spoke to the service and explained the situation, waited for me to go inside to speak with my service rep, and then very carefully unloaded my car. I am writing this review a day later, and it's honestly making emotional because I had been treated so poorly by the tire place and Mr. Tom and his son were so kind to me. My Acura's front-end wheel control rods and/or suspension went to hell in a handbasket on me as I was going north on La Cienega in Culver City. My auto repair guy in Manhattan Beach gave me two phone numbers for towing services. The first one expressed zero interest (too busy or my location of La Cienega & Washington was out of range). The second one was these West Coast Towing guys, and they agreed to come get me (much to my relief, as my cell phone battery was dwindling). Took about 45-60 minutes for them to show up (after a "we'll be there in 15 minutes" claim during the phone call), but it was weekday LA traffic and I knew in my gut that that "15 minutes" was just a hand-holding-the-nervous-motorist technique, so I don't hold that against them, and neither should you. No towing service gets to you THAT fast, especially in LA. But, the bottom line is that, both on the phone and in person, they were the friendliest and most competent roadside assistance people I've ever encountered. And their price for my Culver-City-to-Manhattan-Beach tow was quite reasonable. Two curious things about their Yelp listing: 1) They have a snail mail address! The Indian fellow (apologies for not asking your name, sir) who attended to me appeared to, not only own the business, but also ran it out of his tow truck via cell phone & GPS. I was impressed by how smart he was to have avoided the overhead of a brick-and-mortar storefront, so I'm surprised to see this 1221 Pico Blvd address. 2) Their hours are currently listed as "Mon-Sun 9 am - 9 am". Some people might think that is a typo (should the second am be a pm?). I'd recommend substituting "24/7" or "24/7/365" instead, as everybody nowadays knows what that means. I had the best possible experience with West Coast Tow and with India the owner. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was very friendly and informative and the cost was the best I was quoted (plus he didn't rack up add'l charges with mileage, etc. like some other places I've had to use in the past). The process was so painless, I happily tipped him at a time when you rarely feel like tipping. I honestly can't imagine this gentleman being as over-the-top devious as the negative review states. I was having problems with my car and he helped tow it around town to get it looked at, as well as provided a mechanic for a second opinion. When you need a tow truck to get into a difficult place - like a covered parking garage with low clearance (6' 3") - call them. No other tow truck could do it. Many others came and left. This company was finally contacted and contracted by my roadside assistance program to do the work. Driver came, said he could do it, and within 30 minutes had my car out. The tow truck operator was very nice and did all he could to provide excellent service. I wish they had been contacted first, it would have saved me much time and aggravation. After AAA left me stranded for almost two hours tonight (starting at 11pm without so much as a call back), I called several towing companies near downtown LA to tow me how but with no luck!!! Good thing Google listed West Coast Tow when I search in Santa Monica -- India answered and told me he was available to pick me up from downtown LA and give me a tow back to Santa Monica. Within 15 minutes, he was at my location, and within a couple of minutes, he got me hooked up. Finally made it home with my car in tow at 1:30 in the morning -- no thanks to AAA (must have had a system-wide breakdown). My car battery was dead because of interior lights left on for two days. The battery was only two years old and I learned that it could be recharged by driving it for an hour, so I opted for the jump start rather than buying a new battery. West Coast Towing quoted me a price to come by Euclid Street to jump start my dead battery that was about one quarter the price of a new battery. After making my decision, I called West Coast Towing back and asked "India" what his best price was to jump start my car.
