At about this time last year, my fiancee and I were in an auto accident coming back from a friend's holiday party. I was driving and there weren't that many other people on the road close to Diamond Bar. What wound up happening was a mistake by another car that didn't see me. I went around a white Dodge truck and went to merge back into the lane I had just left. There was a grey Cadillac in the adjacent lane that hadn't moved. As soon as I merged back, the other car started to merge too. They couldn't see me because I was likely in their blind spot, but the driver merged without any blinker or signal. I tried to get out of the way but I couldn't and crashed into me. I lost control of my car and wound up hitting the guardrail. From the impact of the accident, I was left with a broken collarbone, dislocated shoulder, and a lingering headache that later turned out to be a mild concussion. The damage was too much to deal with immediately afterward, since it hurt to breathe and I could only effectively move my left arm at the time. An ambulance came and took me to the hospital in Pomona where they put my shoulder back in its socket, repaired my collarbone, and gave me a lot of pain meds. My fiancee only had cuts and bruises, thankfully, and she walked away without any real physical damage or lingering injuries. It took time, but I knew I needed to lawyer up for this. I knew the cost of the treatment was going to be expensive, so I looked for a car accident attorney in the Los Angeles area and came upon Daniel and the Law Group through a friend of mine. I fid not realize how horribly I had been treated until I finally found a helpful law firm. Second chances started from the very beginning. I stressed I preferred to stay away from a "Case Mill" (somewhere where I'm a number and they have a huge amount of cases which they handle in bulk). I also stressed I wanted a firm in my area so I wouldn't have to travel for doctor visits or in case I had to go into the office for various reasons. I informed the person who did my intake I needed to be able to get in contact with either the attorney or their assistant for any additional issues. My first visit was in another county which I was assured it was a one time event and my attorney would be in Riverside. I was also given a cell phone number of someone I could contact any time. I NEVER could get ahold of anyone. When I finally received a response text, I was sent the WRONG information. My attorney ultimately transferred to San Diego. I also ultimately found out that NOTHING was done on my case in a YEAR! A year later my new attorney filed with the WC Board immediately. Something simple which should have been done immediately which was NEVER done. This firm has too many cases.
