While the doctor is personable and pleasant her staff are incompetent and abominable I was very ill and the earliest appointment she offered the rude and condescending receptionist was late January 2025 we were in Late October . I had already been to emergency clinic in any event she hung up on me when I begged to see the doctor sooner then lied in my chart in Her notes that she had offered me an appointment ya right in 3 months I had to go for an emergency colonoscopy and endoscopy being a liver transplant patient I suggest if you want to be treated like a piece of meat go to a butcher shop read more

I want to preface my review by saying that my wife and I have been patients at the West End Internal Medicine practice for over 10 years and were happy with the practitioners there. However, during that time, we had our practitioners change four times due to them leaving the practice. Unfortunately, our latest provider recently left the practice and we have been told we cannot continue to be seen there as nobody is taking "new" patients. We do not consider ourselves to be new patients since we have been going there for the past decade or more. Now we are trying to find a new practitioner in the Richmond area (with little success) and that leaves us without medicine refills, etc. This is certainly no way to run a practice and it is extremely disappointing, to say the least. read more

My current doctor made me feel like less than significant as a patient , he didn't listen to one of my main concerns ( I said "really you didn't hear me ? I just told you what I was telling you")am I missing something here? His nurse is not good, poor social skills, no people skills period. I am currently looking for a new primary care doctor plus who has a friendly social nurse! A disappointing practice for numerous reasons. It is nearly impossible to get an appointment with any doctor there, they are always full for at least the entire week, if not weeks at a time during the winter season. If you get sick often, you need a practice with better availability. I was also extremely disappointed with the receptionists' demeanors. On multiple occasions, the receptionist was impatient, disinterested, and essentially rude. At one point, I asked for the direct number to their urgent care facility (because I couldn't get in to see a doctor at West End), and the response I got was "google the number, I don't know it by heart." Pros: The doctors I did see were very nice and the office is clean and up to date. But unless you just want a doctor you can only see for a well visit once a year, and you can schedule it 3 months in advance, then it's best to move onto a different practice. read more

West End is a nice looking practice. I have been going to see Dr Hayes for several years now. At first I always struggled to get an appointment. My annual check up would be scheduled six months out from the time I called which is absurd. Finally, one day I complained about this situation to Dr Hayes and he told me how to get around the problem - tell the receptionist that I'm having an issue and I'll email scheduled much sooner. I tested this theory recently and called on a Thursday and got an appointment the following Tuesday. OMG it worked!! Now I can add an additional star and give them 4 instead of 5. read more

Receptionists are very rude. Doctors are great but the folks upfront are terrible. I will be moving on to another practice.

I have been a patient here for 14 years. Over the past year, I've had 4 to 5 scheduled appointments. Each time, I've had to wait 45 minutes to an hour to be seen by the doctor. As patients, we schedule appointments so we can manage our days. We all get off schedule from time to time but this is just unacceptable. read more

I love Dr Bollie but the nurses and front desk employees are terrible. I called them and asked for zofran for a trip and they called me THREE times each time interrogating me about why I needed it like I was some kind of a drug addict. I'm a nurse as well and i can't imagine treating my patients like these nurses do. read more

First visit. Was skeptical based on the comments but I found everyone to be nice, helpful and professional. Only waited 15 mins which I find extremely reasonable. Dr. White and her nurse, Nicole were both superb. Very thorough and I did not feel rushed at all. read more

This is a beautiful location and my doctor was nice, however, that's about it for the pros. As one of the reviews stated below, I did indeed wait a long time to see the doctor. I didn't take this into account into my 2 stars because I understand that doctors are busy, even though it is inconvenient for us patients to be waiting long as we have taken off work for these appointments. The reason I am docking off the stars is because I got my lab results slowly and one test after another and THEY DID NOT EXPLAIN THE RESULTS TO ME. They gave me my percentage and then a "standard range" to compare it to. For the ones that were low or below range I got no information about. They had the audacity to then ask if I have any questions, to respond back to that message in the patient portal. I then proceeded to ask them to explain my results and asked if I would need any prescriptions for the ones that are low. I got no response until a few days later when it said I gad a new message in my patient portal. I thought they had responded to me finally, but nope! It was a basic "get your flu shot" message! I had been attending this practice for well over 7 years. I was seeing Dr. Tiffani Dennis, who was absolutely wonderful. She relocated about 2 years ago to a practice in Charlottesville. I had not been to the practice in about 2 years because I had not been ill. So, I called in for a sick appointment today, only to be told I am now considered a new patient, meanwhile I had seen other doctors in this practice before. I was denied an appointment until a month later as the rude and unprofessional receptionist advised I would have to see the doctor when I'm well first???!!?! Who tells a patient this that has been seen at your practice before? You have sick appointments available but will deny them to a patient that is ill because you have to see them when they are well first???!! Goodbye! I will find another practice that really cares about seeing patients that are ill and not filing insurance and collecting a co-pay for a well appointment first! Poor ethics, unprofessional, and not compassionate enough to be my medical provider! read more
