I started seeing Dr White many years ago he is and was the best, Dr Ash is a sweetie my Pops and mom sees him . that other Doc no words can describe him he needs to fix is face and dismeanor never a smile always looks mad at the world I went to him one time years ago and I said never again, I chose to see Dr Mizrah and I must say I like him alot. he is straight up with you and that's how I am he's a wonderful warm attentive Doc and he listens and give you his full attention and what he thinks I love that about him he's comical I love that as well and he has always diagnosed me 100 and I always get better and feel better. I'm a longtime patient of this practice and I must add when I call few weeks ago to schedule my physical/diabetic check I was thrilled when I heard them say GLENSIDE MEDICAL HOW CAN I HELP YOU whoop whoop they are back.. thank goodness... Nurses were great once I saw them but the doctor was dismissive about my care and treated me horribly. I have never experienced this type of care where I was basically punished for being in waiting room, brought paperwork with me and was dismissed by doctor and said he couldn't help me. Very disappointed in this practice especially since I did everything I was supposed too and arrived early only to be told by staff they don't get back from lunch until 115pm or so. We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! As an aside, we drive 1.5 hours each way, just to be a part of their practice. They are THAT good.

The "Extended" in the name of the practice is dead on, though . . . The wait times are usually atrocious, and when I have finally been seen by a medical professional, rarely do I feel that adequate treatment was provided . . . In particular, I will single out Natalie Fachet as being problematic . . . Her personality and bedside manner are lacking and need work, and the level of care I received from her was not thorough or even adequate . . . Twice I have been misdiagnosed and treated poorly (or not at all!) for conditions insufficiently addressed or even ignored, and on several occasions I have felt that the quality of care rendered that day was missing something . . . However, CEC is not nearly as bad as Patient First, so there's that!

However, she can appear rushed. I know many doctors are made to see several patients in a day due to the administrators, who oversee their work. She is subject to the same pressures as other doctors. She is not very skilled at diagnosing various illnesses, but refers patients to specialists so they can recieve care for a particular problem. I respect she is intelligent and knows when a specialist is needed. Recently, I have been disappointed with the medical field in general. I believe the doctors and patients are caught up in a high for profit industry. I do not judge a doctor for being rushed or unattentive at times. This is symptomatic of the health industry.

I went to see him for an annual wellness checkup and was prescribed a medication for my anxiety. He told me that we would check in after a month of me taking the medication to see if I was doing well with it. I assumed this would just be over the phone as is normal practice with most doctors. When I called back after a month, he was on vacation for 2 weeks and did not have anyone at the office. So I was off my prescription for about a week before getting ahold of him and experiencing serious withdrawals. Then when I finally was able to contact him he told me I would need to come in person for an appointment for a refill on my medication (this is not standard practice and I've never had this happen before... it's unusual to be asked to come in for a full appointment for a REFILL of something the doctor has already prescribed). It's clear that he's only trying to make money by doing this. My insurance does not cover anything outside of an annual wellness exam, so it would be $90 for me to just get a REFILL of my medication. Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this crook of a doctor. Additionally, when I called him to express my concerns he was EXTREMELY RUDE.
