I call the main Piedmont billing, wait 25 mnutes on hold and they dont know anything about them. I have a medical spending reimbursement account and I have to present a receipt that matches the bill to get paid, and without that I dont get paid. Seems like about 1/2 the bills out there are like this now and its so annoying that this keep happening. The main Piedmont health only bills for the hospital complex is what they tell me so this must be from elsewhere and its out of control. I guess I will have to dispute each one with the bank and see if that helps them wake up. Be forwarned! They have show inserts laying all over the place and everyone is told to take one. They add $50 to your bill for the inserts. Many may not know unless you ask! Is it better than inserts you can get online for 1/3 that??? I have no way to know but my guess is no. I refued this scam and the $50 was put on my account ANYWAY. I had to fight to get it off. Then the total didnt match the bill do my insurance balked! The only way to come out unscathed is to AVOID this place.

To cap off all of their incompetence, they had me schedule a follow up with the Dr. and then sent me a letter saying the would no longer be treating me because I voiced frustration with their useless team. The facility here has its challenges the one star rating it's because I waited over an hour because the reception even though I checked many times and said had said that I was checked in the back office where the doctor was never received the check in! I was directed to speak with The office manager Rose ! This is the third time this is happened to me! The office is in Midtown they do discount your parking so that you pay no more than five dollars! Which eases the pain of the outrageous parking cost! I do feel however that waiting over an hour to be seen by any physician is really quite annoying! I never know if it's because the physician's support staff is often behind, oh yeah it's just not a organized practice. I'm sure it's not reflective of Dr. Pepper's abilities! They do online check in through your phone app. But unfortunately for the last three appointments it has not saved my pre-checking in when I announce that I already checked in they cannot find that pre-check in information! I will in the future schedule my visits to the Sandy Springs location because this location definitely does not have its act together!

I wish I would've read the reviews for making my appointment And after my 1st appointment since…read morehaving Kaiser I was really regretting my decision to switch. As soon as I walked in the lobby I knew I was double triple booked like they do at the beauty salons. the whole lobby was packed with customers. First off my appointment was at 10:30 I didn't get seen until a little after 11:00, I had to check back in to have someone do my labs which took another 30 min wait. Then I had to check in online for my meds and wait for that to filled inhouse which was another 30 min. This process seems inefficient to me. I left around 1:25 p.m. Now here is where things get weird. I have never in my adult life had a physical or doctors appt w/o basic questions being asked like family medical history, vitamins/supplements that are taken, mental health , drugs& alcohol. I told doctor and kiosk I had been hospitalized recently and that wasn't even brought up. I brought my medicine in and wasn't asked how long I was dealing with condition or taking meds. Another weird thing about my appt is my physical didn't include the basics. Stick out your tongue say AHHH, look in my eyes & ears, check my reflexes, tap on my stomach to make sure my liver is ok, EKG, check my breast, oxygen levels, heck my temperature wasn't even checked. The only thing checked was my blood pressure, pap smear (nobody asked my last cycle or even if i was on my cycle) , and labs. During the physical I told Dr. Pinera that I didn't think my meds were working for my BP. I think I'm becoming insulin resistant from my medicine. He became very offended. Wanting to know who told me that, where did I read that at. I felt insulted and unheard as if at my 47 years of being on this earth I can't tell something is wrong with my body. I showed him my BP that I have been tracking, and he told me the meds are working, he clearly didn't read what I showed him because my BP has not been right with or without me taking meds. Dr. Pinera asked if I had sleep apnea which I do and said this could be reason for the way I've been feeling. He told me has prescribed this BP medicine to so many people and it works. I informed him several times we won't know until the labs come back. At one point i started crying I was so flustered and was trying my best not to let my tongue unleash something serious and offensive. I was told I would get a new bp monitor, mine is shot out. I didn't see any email or anything on Kaiser website showing that, only thing I saw was an email invitation to download an app for bp monitoring. At the end he told me he was going on vacation for 2weeks and to make an appointment in 3 months. I wont be back. Dr. Pinera seems nice but I don't think he listens really. You can try at your own risk.

I did take pictures of the blood on…read morethe walls, and I did note that it took 93 minutes for me to talk to a human, but again it was an ER during COVID. Eventually I was seen and checked out and dismissed. The thing is, the radiologist who did my scans that night *also* noticed the advanced-stage cancer spreading through my neck, and made a note that someone should tell me about it. And... nobody did. In the months since, Wellstar/AMC have ignored me and my attempts to reach out through every single path open to me. I heard from them only once, five months after the ER visit, when an unsigned form letter assured me that my "issues" had been resolved with a private internal investigation and that I couldn't be told any more for privacy reasons. Here are pictures of the blood on the walls at AMC's ER. The damage they did to me emotionally I can't photograph.

I came here last night because my dad is preparing for surgery here. This is my 6th or 7th visit…read morehere. In comparison to other Well Star owned hospitals, this is probably one of the worst as far as convenience, cleanliness, and customer service. The parking is inside of a deck, that can run you anywhere between $3 and $10 depending on how long you stay. There are a lot of inconsistencies when you call to ask questions about visitation. The main entrance closes around 7 PM, so if you come afterwards you have to enter through the understaffed Emergency room. Yesterday was completely a nuisance. Imagine this! My son and I stood in a line for 20 minutes just to get a pass to use the elevator to go up through the third floor and visit the ICU unit. I understand the security aspect of it, especially for women that are in the mother baby unit. You don't just want people wandering around. But there has to be a faster way to do it. A few months ago, my dad experienced a heart attack, and the doctors and nurses took WONDERFUL care of him. Unfortunately, he is back because of another issue, and he will be having a surgery on his leg to assist with regulating his blood flow. My boyfriend and his mom arrived around 8:30 last night to meet up and visit (And take turns watching my infant child), I got there at 9:10 PM. By the time I found the correct line, found my way to the third level (after getting lost), It was almost 10 PM. Needless to say every one was frustrated big time. In January, I visited a friend who had a baby boy here. Comparing her room set up to mine at Emory Midtown in Atlanta, I would not recommend having a baby here. The nurses were not personable. The room was a little warm and cramped. When my dad spent about 2 weeks in the hospital for his heart attack, I got to see the ER room, Cardiac ICU Unit rooms, and the standard recovery rooms. The ER and standard rooms are much less comfortable than the ICU rooms. It also appears that the doctors and nurses are much nicer in the ICU level versus the ER, mother baby unit, and the standard post operation level. Bottom Line, If it is an emergency, and you have no where else , then use this hospital but to me it is one of the LAST choices when it comes to convenience and customer service. It seems that this hospital needs a face lift too, because the building and equipment is a little outdated, and this includes the food court area. This location has a Blimpie and a Chickfila. The Doctors helped to save my dad's life, so I am appreciative of that. They are SLOW once you enroll at the emergency room (whether visiting or there for pain). But, the paramedics move quickly.
