There are multiple floors of books to explore and you can easily spend a day within the store talking about books with the staff, shopping for books, and living and breathing books. If you're traveling through Eureka and wanting a wonderful literary adventure, stop in old town and explore the huge variety of antique shops, used bookstores and wonderful niche shops that the city offers. My mom, who we lost in September of 2019, used to come here all the time. I was here today, and she still remembered her. She had such nice things to say about her. As other people have said, it doesn't look that big on the outside, but it is huge on the inside. If you can't find what you are looking for, you are probably not looking hard enough. They have new and used books, fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, travel, rare and out of print books,, a very large children's room, and the list goes on and on. The prices are more than fair.... They also buy used books at a fair rate for store credit . If you don't find what you need this time, they will roll your credit over until the next time you come in. It's really cool that they do that. Once you buy your book, take it across the street to Los Bagels, And you can grab a nice snack while you peruse your purchase. Today I took a half dozen new books in to get credit on, and was informed that exchanges are by appointment only. No one else in the store, one clerk, 10am, no interest at all in being helpful, just doing his "job" and following the "rules" The old tin can is gone, next time I have extra books I'll donate them to Miranda's rescue.

As the minister of a local church, I am helping a recently widowed friend rehome some of her husbands books. Courtney explained which books she would accept and suggested how I might handle the ones she didn't take.
