Nick, has always done good business with me and my son. We've only been interested in the video games & systems. Good selection of games I havent been there in a couple years. Im sure hes aquired plenty more stuff since, he should look into a bigger building, but im sure rent is outrageous. I dont know about other stuff in the store prices but the games I think are priced well. Would I recommend yes will I keep coming and seeing what they got as far a video games of course. Nick is a Terrible Owner! I sent over $500 in baseball cards with nick to grade at PSA including a Shohei Ohtani Autograph over 10 months ago, As I checked in every month he finally told me 9 months in, that he couldn't find the cards and I "Must have picked them up". Im going to tell everyone I know to stay away from this shop, please do not support this business. He Is not here to help the community, I have talked to numerous collectors and shop owners who say Nick is a lowlife just trying to make a few dollars on every transaction. I've been here several times, each time hoping to have a better experience. This store is very overpriced. The owner says he prices his items based on what they're currently going for on eBay. That might be true, but he's definitely picking the highest prices from eBay for said item. He's turning people away who come in to make fair offers, and usually won't take anything differing -even slightly- from the asking price. Very disappointed. If you're looking for video games, I'd rather spend my money at the antique store across the street. read more

Visiting from SF and my friend suggested a "thrifty day" so we covered all cities from Trinidad to Fortuna. This store was not worth the trip. The guy there followed us around with what looked like an erection and had no personality or people skills. Ewwwww Too much stuff crammed into an area my disabled mom couldn't even navigate. Don't waste you time, McVille, Arcata, Eureka have plenty of options anyway. read more

My daughter showed me this incredible thrift/consignment shop. They have a great variety of items... Designer clothes (miss me jeans, a&f, u name it.) All at great prices. They also sell antiques, video games, handbags, shoes... They will buy nice stuff for cash or store credit. Extremely fair with their prices for items you buy & items you sell... That store is WAY over priced. The owner actually sold be a couple of fake N64 games that he was trying to pass off as real. The counterfeit games can be bought of the internet for about 25 bucks. He was trying to sell them for 50.When I got home and disassembled the cartridges for cleaning (as I do for all of my games) I discovered that they were fake Chinese knock offs. When I confronted him about the counterfeits he acted like he didn't know, gave me store credit and took the games back. At first I believed him but when I went back in a few days later he had BOTH of the games he tried to pass off on me back in his display case, back at the same price as a non-counterfeit game, back at the same price that he sold them to me. I have not been back in there since. Super shady. I have also heard him lie about his NES consoles he has "modded" for sale. Selling an NES console for 100 bucks (worth about 40 bucks at the time, now only worth about 25 as I type this) because of parts and labor is absolute BS. The "mods" he is doing take less than 5 min and involve a 2 dollar part (an aftermarket 72 pin connector) and a quick snip with a pair of cutters on pin 21 of the PPU. Don't get ripped off by "Something Old Something Nouveau" in Fortuna spend your money elsewhere. read more
