Dr Sierra came in right away and he was thorough and knowledgeable . I felt like an important patient , and I'm sure that courtesy is extended to all patients. I have very sensitive teeth, and usually I despise cleanings because the sensitivity is unbearable. But they offered ( and I accepted ) mild Novocaine injections. Personally, it was a great decision as I felt no discomfort during the extensive cleaning. The office assistant / receptionist is also pleasant. Great practice

I had to wait an hour and a half past my appointment time just to be seen. During my visit, the staff forgot to take the additional images needed for my Invisalign, meaning I had to come back again for something that should have been handled the first time. Additionally, they never called to inform me when my Invisalign arrived as I was under the impression that they would call me. I had to follow up myself to check on the status and it had arrived and I was never made aware. Dr. Sierra is really friendly and a great doctor! But the lack of organization and communication of the front office staff makes it really frustrating as a patient. I expected a much smoother process, especially for something as routine as Invisalign and how much I am paying for it.

My daughter first had a cleaning, then I went in initially for an emergency problem, and now my husband plans on using this practice as well! Very positive experiences! My first impression walking into Boca Dental Care was the overwhelming number of "easy financing"…read morebrochures throughout the office--both in the waiting room and treatment areas. In my experience, offices that heavily promote financing can sometimes lean toward high-volume, high-profit treatment plans, so I was cautious but kept an open mind. I was referred by a coworker whose opinion I trust, and since my longtime dentist retired (and his replacement turned over the entire staff within a year), I was genuinely hoping to find a new long-term provider. The office itself is impressive--modern, spotless, and clearly outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. Early on, I met a patient coordinator, Marie, who was friendly and thorough. She reviewed my history and asked detailed questions before they began imaging. That's when things started to feel excessive. I've never had so many X-rays taken in one visit--full mouth, partials, and individual tooth images. The process lasted well over an hour. When the dentist, Dr. Sam, came in, she told me my teeth and gums looked good overall, with the exception of needing one crown. However, the hygienist's assessment was completely different. She recommended extensive periodontal work--something no dentist has ever suggested to me, despite consistent cleanings every 3-4 months. When I asked whether I should see a periodontist, I was told it wasn't necessary because they could perform the treatment in-house "for less." After a 2.5-hour visit, I was presented with a treatment plan exceeding $4,000--along with financing options--and was asked to sign the estimate on the spot. I declined to sign, as I'm aware a signature can carry implications. The reaction to my refusal felt uncomfortable, and they noted "patient refuses to sign" on the document. I grew up in a dental family--my father was a dentist--so I'm familiar with appropriate dental standards. This experience raised enough red flags that I sought a second opinion. Another dentist reviewed the same X-rays and found no need for the extensive work proposed. In fact, the only recommendation was to monitor a different tooth--not the one they wanted to crown. My advice: proceed carefully. Some people love the attention and easy financing. It's not for me.

It's wonderful when you find a great doctor. I already have a great dentist (see that review…read moreseparately), but I needed to have two root canals (because one wouldn't be nearly as much fun as having two) and Dr. Prusakowski was the endodontist who they recommended. He is a bit of a drive being up in Boca, but he was worth the trip. First, the office is clean and well done. It's very cheery and inviting and it doesn't make you feel like you're about to die. Like some dental offices I've been to in South Florida (that's a separate review too). The front office staff are very nice and that's important. I was brought to the back and Dr. Prusakowski came in. He is awesome. Very nice, very personable. It turns our we're both originally from Pennsylvania and his mother's family comes from my area. What a small world. He looked at my x-rays and we discussed the treatment, and then he got to work. To say this place is state of the art would be an understatement. I've had root canals and I managed a dental office, but this place is far beyond anything I've seen before. And I was incredibly impressed at both the speed and accuracy of the work he was doing (using a microscope, that was just blowing me away), and his rapport with Ingrid, his assistant. She is amazing as well. She is very much an extension of his own hands. And the root canals? Pretty much painless. Even the injections didn't hurt. I never felt a thing throughout the procedures, even though he had to extirpate three roots. If you have to have a root canal, at least know there is a dentist who is going to do it well, with a minimal amount of discomfort in a very nice office with very nice staff. Looking at Dr. Prusakowski's other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who finds him to be excellent.

My regular dentist, Dr. Yaron Tavory was on vacation and unable to help me. I was referred to another dentist, who told me I'd have to withdraw my medication and wait 5 days before she could extract it. I bore the pain for the 5 days, then went back for the extraction and anticipated relief. When I got there, she decided that I needed an oral surgeon, and refused to do it. It was Saturday afternoon, and I didn't want to wait any longer. I got in touch with Dr. Tavory, just back from vacation, and he was kind enough to have me come straight to his office on his day off. In no time, he had the bad tooth out, and I was finally able to get some relief. Dr. Tavory is a kind and awesome dentist, and I am so grateful to him. If you're looking for a dentist, he's the man!
