My brothers encouraged him to apply to ND and he was accepted with a grant to help pay tuition. What Notre Dame did for him was nothing short of amazing. He found his comfort zone. He was able to focus so much better with the more structured classes than he was used to. His teachers were understanding and approachable, many became mentors and role models. He applied to 7 colleges and was accepted to all of them. We absolutely love this school and are thankful for the 4 years my son spent here

Coming from the public school, I was blown away by incredible 1 on 1 attention you get at Notre Dame. The faculty is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure students are succeeding in and out of the classroom. There is a place for everyone at Notre Dame. I've ben a member of numerous athletics teams as well as student organizations. Lastly, the brotherhood is unrivaled. Whether you're a prospective student, current student, or an alum from 70 years ago, the connections you make at Notre Dame last a life time. The sense of camaraderie and family you feel at Notre Dame is truly special and something you need to experience. I will always love Notre Dame. Scott Bannon is no better he is just a puppet for Chris and does all his dirty work for him. It's unfortunate that a school with this much potential hires teachers who have no business being in a school and has a principal and vice principal who are held to the absolute lowest standards. I don't understand how the Diocese of Bridgeport hasn't removed Chris and Scott from their positions in this school. As a former student at this school, I can honestly say that because of the fact I attended this school I am less equipped for the real world and feel that my family and I have been robbed of our hard earned money and of the education we were promised here. It's unfortunate that a school with a name like "Notre Dame" doesn't live up to the expectations a name like that comes with. With a vice principal who was forced to take an indefinite leave of absence from his previous job under suspicious circumstances, and a principal who cares about nothing but power and his own personal agenda, this school really could do better. To all the parents out there looking at high schools for your children, send them to Saint Joe's, Notre Dame West Haven, Lauralton Hall, Fairfield Prep, or just public school. Honestly, sending them anywhere is better than this school. Unless you want your children to be treated like they're nothing and disrespected in every way possible I urge you to find a better school. I can…read moreonly speak for the time I attended, so as of the year 2001, Bunnell was prettier, and had a better student population than Stratford High, socioeconomically speaking. The school property was clean and well maintained. Most of the classrooms were large in size, and usually had a full-class. The laboratories and facilities were very good and well taken care of. The teachers, for the most part, were excellent. I don't have any complaints about any of them! PLUS, the "Bulldogs" (Bunnell) always kicked the "Red Devils" (Stratford H.) butt!

When I graduated from Bunnell it was a beautiful new building in the best 60s style. When I went…read morethere again in the early 90s for an evening ballroom dancing class, all the glass in the front entrance had been replaced with black plywood. And there had been a lot of glass. More black plywood was in the gym. A sign high on the gym wall announced that mooning the cheerleaders was prohibited, as was giving them the finger and cursing them. This was for the benefit of those who might have thought it was OK. When I went there again 10 years ago, the front entrance was sealed. The front office had been modified by adding a small door and stairs, and visitors entered there. After entering, visitors walked a narrow pathway with plexiglass walls, so they could be observed before gaining admittance. A police car was parked outside, right in front. I imagine police are on duty there full time these days. Driving through the parking lot, now trimmed in weeds, was no fun. It had been filled with speed bumps. Is it even possible to plow it in the winter? I had gone there to inquire about class records, to be used in planning a class reunion. They told me there were no records. Were they telling the truth, or were they just flipping me off? I don't know. I admit it sounded unlikely. Can I blame the school for reflecting the dismal societal changes that have taken place since I was a student there? I don't think so. It's just a building, after all. I must have grown up in a golden age. I had no idea what was in store.

Honestly Norwalk Community College is a great school. I have been going here since fall of 2013 and…read moream finishing up my last semester now. There are so many great things to talk about I don't even know where to begin! Affordability: This school is by far the most affordable option out there and you really are getting the bang for your buck they have soooo many programs to choose from. A lot you can't even get anywhere else around Connecticut like restaurant managment for example! They also have a great nursing program that will cost you wayy less to get in than any other school while getting just as good knowledge :) Staff: i have been here since 2013 and probably 98 percent of the teachers have been fantastic. The best part too is that they have numerous teachers for each subject like math or english 101 so if you dont think one is working out for you, you have a lot more option. Credits: All the credits you take here our state schools will except so if you plan to transfer to southern, westconn, eastern, or central after this your covered! Im looking to transfer next semester and my advisors are telling me since I have so many great credits already finished at Ncc it will only take me around another year instead of 2 years to finish :) Campus life: Even though people dont think you really get a college experience at a community college it is really what you make of it honestly you can. We have great clubs like anime club, art club, business club, even things for community service. We also have a great cafeteria with honestly pretty decent food. The school itself is always spotless and beautiful. I have made tons of life long friends here and the great part about community college is most of them live in your area so you can still hang out during things like winter break because they are not going to fly half way across the world. Misconceptions: A lot of students don't want to go to community college because they thing they will be surrounded by older People who they cant relate to or people who did really bad in high school. That is really not true, sure you are going to get a diverse group of people like anywhere else. I can tell you most people here are really motivated and friendly.

I was invited and joined the honor society Phi Theta Kappa. I was heavily involved and promoted to an officer in the society for my dedication. I graduated with full honors. As a result, I was able to secure public and private scholarships. And the school's foundation because of my involvement in the honor society. student government, and stellar recommendations from my Professors awarded me additional funds out of the school's foundation. I finished my degree in software engineering at UConn Storrs basically for free and debt free. I heavily recommend trying this institution.

I had to pull my child out after a year. The bullying is so bad that IHS is getting sued for a kid getting assaulted. In addition to the bullying and incompetent principal, the teacher turnover was ridiculously high, class options were limited, and extra costs were added every month that weren't included in the high tuition. Facilities are dated. Athletics are held in higher priority than academics. Immaculate High School is not worth the money or your child's mental suffering.

I am a mother of 2 children, who are both currently enrolled in the school. I cannot say enough about Susanna Wesley (aka SWS) and it's staff. One of the most unique attributes of the school is the dedicated Music and Movement program, in which children participate through music and physical activity each day they are in school. The teacher who runs that program is an absolute jewel and SWS is so blessed to have her on board. As a parent, I feel welcomed and a true part of my child's early childhood education. I know my children are getting the best care and academic foundation to prepare them for elementary school. I love that there are dedicated classrooms for each level (3 yr olds, 4 yr olds,etc.). No more than 12 students per class. I thought that was a huge plus because the smaller classrooms allow the children to focus and build relationships with other children. I have noticed how much my children have grown. They are confident, independent and respectful of others. Though I'd like to take full credit on that, I know much of those skills have been gained from the caring teachers at SWS. I encourage you to contact the director and tour the Susanna Wesley School.
