He was doing his closing song and as we were heading out, I wanted to capture a minute of his closing song on phone and stood where the prior photographer had been and was not impacting anyone. So with a smile on my face I was capturing this last minute of the night and from behind me a bully employee decided to manhandle me and pulled my shoulders back and lifted me up and pulled me back, then repeated the action. I was horrified but left there without calling police as I didn't want a scene. My friend was a witness. Got in the car was in pain and crying went to Woodstock police next day and filed a report (described him completely) and there was absolutely nothing done to him by the police who said the assistant DA would get involved .......... never heard anything on this. Another staff member wrote me and said basically I am fabricating etc she spoke with the employee and another one who was there. I have no reason to lie and I had a witness and yet police did nothing and he was NEVER HELD ACCOUNTABLE. I had an injury from him but am healed but will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN TO BE PHYSICALLY MANHANDLED BY A BULLY EMPLOYEE and if this ever happens anywhere else (never in life has this occurred) I will call the police right on the spot.

If you are in Woodstock, you MUST stop here and see a show. It may possibly change your life. It's a little tricky to navigate here in the dark - you feel like you're in the Blair Witch Project, then you will see a beacon of light marking the entrance to the Levon Helms Studio. Follow the light and it will show you the way!

But we figured since they did not open until five they would not answer the phone until the place was open. We drove an hour and a half for dinner and was there at 5:02. The place was not open. We stuck around in the area till 530 still not open no signs of life. Such a long drive to be disappointed. Suggest calling during business hours days before to ensure they are open.

We finally decided to explore the fbook page and saw that they host some DJ dance nights as well as Sunday brunches. Since we missed the black light party, we opted for brunch on Sunday. The place is HUGE inside and since there were only about 15 ppl that were there, it was odd but yet, I liked having the big venue almost to ourselves. They had live piano and bass and the food selections were pretty dang good for $15 pp. Carving station (not sure if it was just roast beef or prime rib, prob the later) some great vegetarian items, eggs, butter mashed, bacon, salad, etc. You also get one comp drink so we had screwdrivers. We then proceeded to get 3 more and they were still only $5 each for a quality pour. Not sure how the dance parties would be at this joint but ya know what... ride the lightening, i am gonna check it out!!

It was a Thursday so maybe things weren't as busy as normal but we showed up a little early and the back biergarten was open so we got some drinks as it was a nice spring afternoon. The bartender was very friendly and when we attempted to bring our drinks around front she let us know that we had to finish them first. The Venue itself reminded me a bit of the nearby Levon Helm studios in that it's an open space with a balcony overlooking everything and seating and standing room on the base floor. One thing I loved about this show is the sound was great. We sat stage left but the PA was subtly piping the DJ and guitar parts from stage right. It wasn't a huge crowd but people were having a good time with some standing room in front of the bar dancing etc. The bartenders were super attentive and responsive during the performance. I have been to Bearsville, Levon Helm and now Colony and I really feel lucky to have such intimate performance spaces somewhat locally. All of the staff were super friendly. Will be back for sure!

Got there just as show was starting, SRO, but the hospitable guy at the door got us chairs stage side and earplugs. The band kicked ass. Great concert but I had to leave for a few in middle to get a fan because I thought l was going to pass out. Bathroom design from the 80s I guess, huge bathroom with many stalls for men and 1 man in there and women's bathroom smaller only a few stalls and a line of 30 women like why can't they redesign this? One small heat pump a/c hanging on the wall in back of the theater with hundreds of people crammed in soaking wet with sweat. It's great beyond that but it's like they're practicing to be a theater. Ate at the Mexican restaurant there beforehand which food was okay average not bad, very convenient and they had a/c but theater was a mess it was hot before concert even started.

There's a Mexican restaurant and Tavern right next door, which are nice amenities. There was also plenty of parking and the outside was well lit. The Theater itself felt brand new. It was super modern and clean. There was a small bar with various drinks. As far as food, I only saw candy and chips listed. Water was also $4 and came in an environmentally friendly bottle. Bathrooms were downstairs, which wasn't an issue for me but could be for someone with limited mobility. If you have limited mobility and plan on visiting, I would call to ensure the restrooms can be accessed. The room where the musicians perform is large and there is a small seating area upstairs, which is a different, more expensive ticket. I did see about 5 or 6 stools downstairs for those who need to sit. Unfortunately, the main act was unable to perform but the theater did send out an email several hours before the show started to let guests know their options so that was appreciated. Overall, it's a really nice venue for a show!

A straight drive out route 28 west. Signage on Rt 28 for the venue could be better. Parking - again very easy. Small venue so no parking nightmares. Getting in and out with no drama. Ticketing - computer was down when we got there. Technology issues happen. Food - BBQ stand was disappointing on several levels. More a grill than BBQ..hamburger, chicken breast, etc. Nothing special. Chicken sandwich was served on a bun with no lettuce, tomato, etc. They were incredibly unorganized and it showed. They had problems taking orders, giving them to cooks, no system for identifying who ordered what. I could have lied about what I ordered and paid for, and they would have believed me. They were stressed and some barked at customers. on several occasions they yelled at people for crossing to the side of the table which wasn't roped off. And the only garbage pail by BBQ was in that area. Concert - Intimate feeling. Venue so small that there aren't really any bad seats. Sound was clear and strong. Orchestra supporting the band was a nice touch. Really added depth to some songs - ex. Bohemian Rhapsody. Brought me back thirty years. I would definitely go back again. I would suggest bringing a sweatshirt as the temperatures do drop a bit at night and you are outside, though tented. unless you have lawn seats, in which case you are totally outside and should also bring a blanket and folding chair.
