The room was so bad that we asked to move and were given another room that, although not as bad, was still very poor. However, the staff were very pleasant throughout and very helpful (I hope this is not because it happens all the time!!). The food was another matter. The set menus start at approx £85 which does appear to be a little bit pricey, but do not be put off because the food is absolutely amazing. Intertwined with the 3 courses are another number of smaller courses to really set your pallet dancing. I have never eaten such beautiful and clever food. At the end of the meal I did not feel completely stuffed, but pleasantly full, all washed down with a lovely bottle of red. The food here is amazing, pity the rooms do not live up to the same standards. A good place to go to treat yourself to a wonderful evening of food (just don't stay the night!!).

My room was in one of the remote blocks and was reasonable quality but nothing special. I only ate in the restaurant for breakfast, and the kippers, whilst tasty, had a ridiculous number of small bones in them. Despite this it was a pretty good breakfast in general and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There was a Sainsbury's grocery story just a short walk away, in case we needed food, toiletries or other items. Also, there is a restaurant on-site: the Beefeater Grill. We had continental breakfast there and it was rather good. Our stay at this hotel was a positive one and I can recommend it to travelers who want a clean, comfortable room at a fair price and don't mind staying on the outskirts of London.

The cakes and scones were nice, I especially enjoyed the chocolate eclair and carrot cake, we received a fruit and plain scone each which were big however there was not enough cream and jam for 4 scones but the staff happily supplied another batch for free. We had to chase down the side plates and tea which was very annoying as you would expect them to bring these before the cake stand of treats. The hotel itself is clean and had fresh airy, clean toilets. Whilst there we had the beautiful sounds of the music room coming through the windows which was opera and classical in nature.. perfect with my glass of Merlot. There is a in room refrigerator and safe. All toiletries are provided, including hair conditioner (many hotels we have stayed at haven't provided hair conditioner). The breakfast buffet is delicious with a lot of hot entrees as well as fresh fruit, pastries , bread and yogurt. There is an electric charging vehicle in the parking lot. The hotel has a 24 hour gym. WHAT REALLY makes this hotel stand out is the customer service. JAKE AND NICK were the friendliest managers we have EVER encountered at a hotel. They are really HANDS ON and I even saw them helping customers with luggage. They were always visible. ADIL and JENNY were AMAZING AT RECEPTION. SHARIN and NOEL were outstanding at Breakfast- Always checking in with all guests to see if there were special food requests. The coffee wasn`t good either. We aren`t British and thought that at least some restaurants would be open during christmas. We were so hungry and couldn`t find a place to eat. I thought I ask the hotel if they offer a meal but I wasn`t sure, because it wasn`t decorated at all for the season and nobody wished us merry christmas. I asked at the reception and lucky us, they were some leftovers. We were told that all they had was some meat, veg and a chocolate souffle left. I thought that was better than nothing. There were only a few other guests eating. They had a table cloth but no christmas cracker. I found it strange that there was not tree, no christmas music, nothing. Anyway, we got a plate with some dry turkey, cold veg and the gravy was very watery and the poritons were small. It was totally flavourless. I was looking forward to the chocolate souffle, just to find out that it was a heated muffin. Nothing was home made, the veg, souffle,.... was from the supermarket. We also had one cappuccino each. We were so shoked when we got the bill, for two plates of cold turkey, two warm muffins and two cappuccinos we had to pay 180. My heart stopped! I called the waiter, he argued, said it was christmas and that`s the price. Well I didn`t see any christmas decorations, didn`t hear the music, didn`t get the the whole menu, just the leftovers, we had no table cloth, no crackers, nothing!!! I asked for the manager, he said he is the manager. I asked him to bring me the christmas menue and it said: that the whole christmas meal includes a starter, a main, a dessert, cheese plate, soft drinks, some wine. We weren`t even told that we could have soft drinks and wine with it. He offerd me it after I mentioned it to him, no thanks. He said the already gave us a discount of 5 Pounds each as the original price of the christmas meal was 95 Pounds per person and we ONLY had to pay 90 per person!!! I asked the manager if he really thinks that it is ok to give a discount of 5 Pounds for not having the soup, wine, unlimited soft drinks, cheese plate? Never again, that`s just rude and a rip off. Stayed in other Ramada hotels before, but we will NEVER again go to one. Shame on you!!!!
