Had an emergency Dental situation with an access and broken tooth on tooth #19, excruciating pain…read moreabd swelling around it, pus pocket had already popped and I was in dire need of it being extracted...the Assistant took a Panorex of my whole mouth, checked tooth in pain then we waited for dentist.....he never came to check it out, yelled at me from another room about another tooth that was absolutely fine (no pain,no problems at all on it)....the Assistant then left for about two minutes then came back and told me they're giving me a referral and a script for seven days of antibiotic pills. We'll left without any resolution to my pain or getting the tooth extracted. Here I was headed to the pharmacy, well..I took the antibiotics 1 time, had an allergic reaction, so they gave me a antibiotic that didn't work for any absessed tooth. The throbbing and swelling got worse, couldn't eat or chew, all I could get for nourishment was protein drinks and yogurt for 2 weeks. They only gave me a referral for tooth on my upper jaw( remember, my broken abcessed tooth was lower left). I had to go to the ER and they game me different Antibiotics, gave me a referral and so when I went to this dentist in Madison, Dr Pascal at 44 Hughes Road said he would only take a referral from a dentist, that it was against Dental laws to get referral from Doctors, I knew he was lying, then I realized that that Complete Dental works in conjunction with Dr Pascal. It's really unprofessional and sad that some Dentists aren't even respectful enough to remove a broken absessed tooth. There is much more to this painful experience, but I am in my 70's and still in pain, and both clinics are horrendous, and i need to take a break.

The implant was a perfect fit and I experienced zero issues. Dr. Limbaugh and his assistants actually listen and take the time to talk to me even though they are so busy. During the implant procedure if I experienced any pain they would address it immediately. They cared about my experience and comfort level. They did everything they could to make sure I felt as comfortable as I could be given the situation, lol! A doctor and his medical staff actually listening to a patient... a reasonable expectation to me, but this is not what I have experienced in the past with other dentists which were highly recommend it to me but we're absolutely horrible... so much so that now I immediately experience severe anxiety when visiting a dentist. Dr. Limbaugh understood and did all he could to make this experience a great one. I have finally found a dentist I can trust and feel comfortable with in fact I'm transferring my son's dental care from pediatric dentistry to Dr. Limbaugh. She stated it is not required or policy to call patients and let them know in advance they are no longer in network and will have to pay out of pocket. If I wanted my teeth cleaned today, I needed to pay. I then ask if they were going to tell me prior to my cleaning that they no longer take my insurance. She said all bills are paid after service. If I was to not have asked, she would have not told me and I would be out of pocket for anything they would have done that day. I explained that I would not get my cleaning done there From this point forward and they should have called me as a courtesy and told me that my insurance was no longer taken by them. I would recommend going somewhere else for my dental care. If you are like me and my family that are on a fixed income, then you need a dental office that is reliable and professional. My dental hygienist and I have an understand that no eye contact shall be made during my appointments. I get "Mr. Nose"... If you know, you know... And I just breathe deep and look to the left. I wear glasses with a big prescription so I can't see during this whole experience at the dentist. Today's visit was a cleaning and impressions for a night guard. Totally appreciate the fact that the impression goop was strawberry flavored. "How does that factor in when you don't eat it?", you might ask. Well, at just the time you feel like your gag reflex is going to kick in, the scent of strawberry flew into Mr. Nose and it was amazing and familiar from the old days of the pediatric dental office I went to. There was a moment where the dental hygienist and I made contact during the impressions and both immediately looked away in fear of explosion. Took some deep breaths from Mr. Nose and I was able to stable myself from my odd fear. Other random discussions occurred about tongue placement which was humorous for sure. I'm looking forward to future days of flavored toothpaste, maybe some flavored Mr. Nose, and chaps stick (some of my suggestions/requests). I was convinced that I would need teeth pulled/implants, but Dr. James was expertly able to perform root canals/crowns for the issues I was having. I'm quite a bit of a crybaby at the dentist (which combines my two greatest fears: tooth sensory nightmare + crying in public) but Dr. James and his team are incredibly patient and supportive throughout my visits. The payoff has been phenomenal. I now smile with my teeth for photos. I was able to eat Chipotle for the first time in years. I can have ice in my drinks again. If you're nervous about the dentist but are looking for an office that will take great care of you and deliver excellent results, this is the dentist you want.

Of course DPoW is not the cheapest place to get your teeth cleaned. If cost is your only issue, I'm sure you can find cheaper. I don't think you can find better value. Working within your insurance benefits to get the best value and long term results is addressed from the start. Over the years, one dentist retired, some office personnel have been added, and the technology has been upgraded as it became available. The only thing that hasn't changed is the beauty and comfort of the waiting room and restroom. Think Downton Abbey sumptuous with scrupulous hygiene. The building is set back from the street on a narrow lot so it doesn't appear as large as it is. The exterior is modern and well maintained, and the parking lot is more than adequate (and happily devoid of the sink-like potholes that plague Huntsville). It's easy to miss the single driveway, just north of the Steak Out. Tastefully restrained signs and building exterior are obscured or overwhelmed by the Steak Out, whose building has minimal set back and garish signage. There are steps up to the covered entrance, and a long uncovered ramp for wheelchair access. This ramp is accessed from the handicap parking just to the left immediately as you enter the driveway. This might be a problem for caregivers of those in wheelchairs. Pushing a chair while holding an umbrella is difficult. The heavy downpours we often get in Huntsville make covered pull-thru drop off entrances a blessing for wheelchair access, and DPoW doesn't have one. This is not to say the elderly shouldn't become patients. In all other ways, I couldn't think of a more appropriate office. BTW, this is an all-female business, if that's of any import (my husband's preference, not just mine). Both dentists work hard to keep their education current and their technology the newest, but they do refer root canals out to an Endodontist. The office staff is experienced and competent. The hygienists are all that and more. They work really hard to ensure absolutely no patient discomfort. Patients get warmed neck pillows and comfy blankets. The chairs and equipment are new and each room equipped with a video screen to explain findings. But the most salient feature is this: they absolutely and sincerely care about their patients. There's just no way we could have been fooled over two decades. I can tell when people like being at work. I'm a skeptic. Businesses always pay lip service to the need to project a caring attitude, but they can't ensure it if the people employed don't have it already in their nature, from the receptionists and clerks on up to both dentists. I suspect it's a corporate culture thing and they've let go employees who weren't like them... caring from the get go. There's a private consultation room to discuss whatever, so just ask to use it and be honest about what you can and can't afford. You don't have to discuss how you're going to pay for services in front of other patients. Also, discuss how you want to be reminded to confirm appointments. They use live calls as well as texting and e-mail. You choose any or all.

ZERO STARS!! This is by far the worst dentist & office I've ever been to. Dr Bentley ruined…read moremultiple teeth that I had to get redone by another dentist costing me way more. First, I had a tooth with a stain between the teeth that I asked about multiple times but was told it was fine & it wasn't a cavity. Because she didn't take care of it, I had to have a root canal & crown done when I changed dentists because it was indeed a cavity & ended up deep. Should have just been a filling with her the year before when I asked about it. Then I had a tooth lose blood flow so it sadly passed away. She said it would be fine to leave it. Turns out it needed a crown as well & because it was so much later, the tooth became brittle & I had to have more extensive repair done. And lastly, my back tooth had a cavity just on the side & she said it needed a root canal & to be crowned but when I came in she didn't do the root canal but crowned it when it could have just had a filling. I had extreme pain in that tooth from then on when it didn't even bother me before she touched it. She redid the crown a few times but I ended up having to have a root canal done anyway since she filed my tooth all the way down. Not only this, but she only does half the work! She lets her assistants do most of the work which is completely unprofessional especially with something like a crown! There's also one assistant there, I don't know her name but she's older, and she is extremely rude and unprofessional. She made me feel very uncomfortable about my teeth that I already felt self conscious about. She told me I should get all of my front teeth crowned instead of getting braces and said "they would look so much better" and "they'll have to be crowned one day anyway"...What!? Yeah I left after all that and tried to just move on. Then they call me over a year later about Xrays that weren't covered by my insurance and literally couldn't answer any of my questions. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!
