They canceled an appointment last minute, claiming there was extensive damage and they were looking for a new location. A simple Google search says they were actually evicted, and the court documents claim racism, rat infestation knowingly allowed to continue, no insurance, and didn't pay the rent. My daughter started going here when she was 8. For years they were absolutely the best dentist in Alabama. I NEVER had a problem with any of them until about a year ago. Since my daughter started going there I took my son and my two step daughters, for the past two years and myself. In the past year they told me my son who is 9 had a cavity in the back and came out with a crown on tooth number 11 which is not in the back and still has a cavity in the back. They do not let parents go back. One of my step daughters who is 17, they drilled her tooth off to the nerve and put a filling in and it's still hurting her but "they see nothing wrong" My other step daughter who is 13 came out and they said she had 3 cavities but after my experience that is coming up next I took her to their new dentist and they said she had none. I went last October for two crowns. They didn't xray and drilled my teeth. One is fine the other broke off 5 minutes after walking out the door, they refused to fix it trying to charge me this and that that my new dentist told me my insurance covers and I suffered for 4 days with my whole face abscessed in excruciating pain. I ended up having to have the tooth extracted by a surgeon. I changed dentists and they contacted my insurance with which my insurance told them that both temporary crowns were charged and the other tooth a permanent crown was also charged and I haven't been back since the temporary was put on. My insurance company has tried to contact them repeatedly bc since it was charged I can't get a permanent crown for 5 years so the temporary one is still on there. If you go in with no problem you will surely come out without one. They're not registered at the BBB either. read more

I love this dental team. My son has been going here for years and he has always left happy. They treated him so good that made me use them as my dentist. They are extremely kind and gentle. I have TMJ and the dentist gives me horrible anxiety. The first few times I was shaking, from fear, while getting my teeth cleaned. Now I'm happy to go and my body doesn't react anymore when getting in the dental chair. I'm not sure why the Yelp reviews are negative but I implore you to try them for yourself. They are honest! so if honesty hurts your feelings .. you may get your feelings hurt. they have no problem telling me or my son when we aren't doing a good enough job flossing or brushing. I personally would rather have this than a dentist wanting to do unnecessary dental work. Do thank you Arlington Dentistry for getting me back on track and taking good care of my boy! read more

It is a good place overall but they do not know how to deal with kids .... Especially parents with multiple kids ... I understand that you need it to be quiet but a kid is a kid and they will act like kids regardless... it's not up to y'all to try to come tell us as parents how to deal with our kids .. example .. I brought my son in and I also have two under two who had lots of energy and wanted to play while waiting for their brother to go back ... I understood they where loud so when they took my son back I took the kids out and don't come back until it was time to pick him up I dealt with the problem but upon arrival I was told by another man that my kids were being loud and running around the whole morning which was crazy to me seeing we were only in there for like ten min while we were waiting for them because they were running late we was on time .... And the whole thing was I left with the kids just so they wouldn't be bothering them and they still had something to say ... just putting it out there when the little white kids were running around even worse then mines cuz black don't play that they didn't say anything to them just my kids like I said prob cuz they are black.... Willing to change the rating if someone reads this and try's to reach out to apologize or somthing ... funny part is I have pics in the office with my kids sitting down watching a movie ... but the other kids were the ones running around but I'm the one who got talked to like I'm crazy ... check your cameras before trying to comment on people kids .... And also I would understand if we had stayed inside the whole time but we left wasn't in that office for more than like five min a shame when people wanna be a Karen for no reason read more

If you have issues, the receptionist text you. The doctor will not talk to you at all! The receptionist sends text stating the doctor refuses to talk to you! You can not get a point made, or have issues resolved just through text messages and it is horrible to run a business just by contacting by text message only! read more

I had just moved and made an appointment at Arlington. The night before my appointment I realized I had 2 weeks before my insurance would cover it since my last appointment so I text the number they had on their website to cancel. The office manager, Amanda Glouner, emailed me the next day to tell me it would be a $50 cancellation fee for my daughter and me because it wasn't 24 hours notice. I emailed her back and asked her to waive the fee because I needed to reschedule for 2 weeks later so my insurance would cover it; she never answered so I assumed I wasn't charged. I then got a bill in the mail for $100. I text her before they even opened and our appointments were for 3 and 4 pm so I would think they would waive the fee to keep clientele. Dr. Withrow is amazing. She makes going to the dentist easy and almost feel like a spa day for your mouth. Her staff is friendly, kind, and efficient. I cant say enough good things about this woman and her practice. Her office is kid friendly as well, with a play area that includes toys, books and video games. My appointment got delayed by their staff and I waited 45 minutes until I finally had to leave for another appointment. When it was rescheduled I ended becoming ill the day before and called, texted and emailed. Because I was ill only 24 hours in advance (and never received a call back) I received a $50 bill after I rescheduled and COVID-19 hit. They cancelled the appointment, of course, but on par with their customer service no one notified me. Once I received the bill I attempted to call and requested a call back. That didn't happen, of course. They emailed me and when I responded they ignored me. Worst customer service ever! Sadly, the dentist and hygienists are really friendly. The office staff have never been friendly and apparently avoid any questions. Won't be going back ever! read more

I have been going to Arlington Dentistry for 3 years now and have had no issues at all. Everything has gone great. They did my one and only crown 2 years ago and I haven't had a single problem with it. I find the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The amount they told me I would owe for my crown was exactly what I paid. During these Covid times they are taking adequate precautions as well. read more

This is the worst dental office I have ever been to. I am currently dealing with a tooth that has not had a crown on it for over a month, the original crown kept coming off, I was told to place this back on myself and it now has a hole in it that I can't get them to fix. read more

Visited Arlington Dentistry regardless of the poor recommendations, and I'm so glad I did. I had X-rays and a cleaning. I had a GREAT experience with Dr. Withrow and her hygienist. It is an extremely clean and welcoming facility. The hygienist was extremely gentle and thorough. This was my first time here, and all the new-patient paperwork was done electronically, which I loved! It made the process super quick and easy. They are up front about the $50 fee for cancelling within 48 hours of your appointment, which most offices do anyway so I'm not sure why that is the primary complaint. Highly recommend!! read more

This dentist office sucks! They charge a $50 fee to cancel your appointment. Not to mention, the last service I got from them was a complete disaster. The lady gave me advice on using a soft tooth brush... mind you, I don't have sensitive gums or teeth... why am I using a soft tooth brush that have me brushing my teeth 5 times a day again!? Very unhappy with my visit. I made an appointment for a severe tooth pain and an annual cleaning. The front desk signed me in, I was a new patient. I went back the dental assistant was unaware that I was coming in to get my teeth cleaned along with the tooth pain, she took X-rays and then cleaned my teeth. She told me the tooth had a cavity, so if I am in pain and the tooth had a cavity why not fill it?‍ Then another lady comes in I believe a coordinator and she tells me the dentist has a conference call she had to be on, well if she had s conference call she shouldn't have scheduled me on that day, at that time. When I go to the dentist I make an appointment to see a dentist. I also asked about another service I get 2 referrals that has someone else's name on them an incomplete explanation because when when I called the referral that dr was asking questions I had no clue on how to respond. At the end of the appointment I prescribed an antibiotic for my tooth and I was told to call back if I had no relief. I called back that Monday to tell them that I had no relief and whomever says to me that they would need to pull the tooth which happens to be in the front of my mouth , I think not I work in a industry where I can't go to work with missing teeth. Needless to say I will not recommend or return to that dentist. The one star is only for when I walked in to her office. Shame on you! read more

Pray you don't get sick or your child finds out the day before an appointment that he/she has sports tryouts at school the same day as the appointment because if you do YOU WILL be charged $50 to reschedule the appointment! I was told it's a broken appointment fee and the scheduler/office manager or whatever his position is told me HE still has to pay HIS hygienists (emphasis on him!), although I just wanted to move her appointment. He is impossible to work with, it is clear it will be his way or no way and no exceptions will be made to his rule! And yes, we received the $50 charge and eventually turned over to collections. Mr. office manager means business so don't cross him - and believe me, he likes to retaliate on negative reviews so I can't wait to see what he has to say about this! I fully understand and agree as to why they charge a fee if a patient cancels at the last minute simply because they just don't want to go or maybe they find they have something better to do. But things come up in life, often at times when a person can't give a 48 hr cancellation or rescheduling notice. I know it's a hassle to reschedule but for legitimate reasons I think exceptions can be made, especially when the patient/client does not habitually reschedule or cancel at the last minute. What happens when an office closes because of a snow day or some other reason and they have to reschedule their patients? What happens when they call because of a cancellation and they'd like you to come in earlier? What if they are running behind and you're left sitting in the waiting room - missing time at work or maybe you have to be somewhere else? I suppose it's OK for a patient to be inconvenienced though. It's poor practice when you're not willing to work with your patients and because of that Dr. Withrow, who I respected and my child adored, has lost a patient. Nothing at all to do with her personally, she is professional and down to earth. But as they say, it's not personal, it's business and we've happily taken our business elsewhere. read more
