He took the time to get us both fitted even though it was technically after hours. Turns out he had been on the same hike we had planned and gave us some good tips. They have additional locations in: Sevierville, TN Gulfport, MS Colony Park Ridgeland, MS Gulf Shores, AL Foley, AL They ofter a good selection of items from brands like Patagonia, AFTCO, North Face, Birkenstock, Yeti, Columbia, Southern Marsh and many more. The one big issue I notice here is that you can often get many of the brand items directly from their websites at cheaper prices than you can at the Sand Dollar store. Their flop flop selection here also seems to have some crazy prices as I don't think any flip flops are worth anything near the $100 price tags I saw on several of them. I haven't bought flip flops in many years as my old Crocs flip flops are still going. Overall this is a good shop if you need something immediately and can't wait for a delivery.

He highly recommended them and told us he buys all his fishing gear from them. A day later we were at LKO picking out all sorts of neat clothing for fishing and generally hanging out. Love the fit, finish, design, etc. I have two pairs of shorts and a pair of warm fishing pants with lots of pockets... The mark of a good business is always how well they deal with problems. The zipper on the pants failed. I just called and they simply asked for my name and address, etc. and are mailing a new pair to me with no questions asked. That definitely puts them in with some of the best. Great gear. Definitely a place you should visit even if you don't fish... but especially of you do.

What really stood out was how much they seemed to genuinely care about helping customers. I must have been asked at least five different times if I needed help finding anything or had any questions. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. Great shop, great people, and definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.

Unlike a LOT of other spots in the area J&M actually has proactive customer service and they really have genuinely helpful and proactive staff that don't wait to be asked if you need help. This is an old school awesome spot that still has staff that actually care about making sure you have great experience in their store!!!
