I went to the new Healing Leaves to get my first foot detox. It was a 45 minute session that I…read morehad no idea what it would be like or how I would feel afterwards. I absolutely loved it! The place was so peaceful and the foot detox made me feel SO good afterwards. I went in feeling tired, in pain, and kinda down. After the session, I felt rejuvenated, awake and honestly in less pain. I think this may be my new favorite thing. You sit in this comfy room and put your feet in a copper bowl and it uses electric current to detox your meridians of toxins and nasties. For someone like me who lives a pretty "clean" lifestyle- I can't imagine how much it would help people who use a lot of chemicals. The water turned a nasty orange color and it was cool. Just sharing this so you can try it out! I her morning from this other than sharing a great experience. This was my first visit to the new location. I thought it was absolutely beautiful, relaxing and one of the most relaxing spas in the area. It was very clean, smelled wonderful and the lighting was great. The girl who worked there was so friendly, too'

Checked out this store on its grand opening day. It's next to Sealevel City Gourmet on Kerr Ave…read more It's a small store but they have a little bit of everything, including herbal therapeutic teas, essential oils, supplements, candles, immune boosters, body products (men and women), oral hygiene and pet products (body wash, scrubs, deodorant, sanitizer, etc), spices, books, baby items, chocolate bars, bread mixes, Laundry items (dryer balls, laundry soap, stain remover from Organic Chix brand), and Restoration Hemp. They also offer classes on nutrition, pick-up of Green Lean & Clean meals, massage therapy, thermal imaging/thermography, and foot baths. Some interesting spices were Mediterranean, probiotic sea salt, and tiger butter (chocolate or original) made with tiger nuts and coconut oil.  Some of the baby products include nipple butter, wash, lotion, diaper balm nose and cheek balm, belly butter, and teething rings. Restoration Hemp contains decarboxylated hemp extract with greater than 90% of the cannabinoids as bioavailable CBD. It is meant to help ease pain. There are different flavors using essential oils, such as lemon and orange. A 5ml bottle has 400 mg CBD, with 2mg CBD per drop. A bigger size is available. It came with instructions on how to use. Green Lean & Clean prepares food fresh, on the day of. They have different size options (4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz) and use equal portions of a vegetable, protein, and a starch. They use 95% lean ground beef, 97% lean ground turkey, and have vegetarian options. They had samples to try on the grand opening day: steamed cabbage with chipotle sea salt, asparagus with siracha sea salt, chicken with bell peppers and a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, Buffalo beef, Sweet potato allspice cinnamon , and basmati rice. All were tasty, but I definitely could have used hot sauce. Massage therapies offered are aromatherapy, deep tissue, hot stone, sports massage, swedish, trigger point, prenatal, and table thigh massage. Pricing is $70 for 60 minutes and $100 for 90 minutes. Hot stone is a little more, $15 extra. Never heard of Thermography until now. It is a non-invasive FDA approved imaging procedure (no radiation) that looks at changes in the breast and body. It's a way to detect abnormalities earlier than what x-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds would catch. The initial breast scan is $170, which takes images of the breast, under arm lymphatic region, and upper back. The 3-month follow-up breast scan is $150. You can also look at images of just one region such as a face, legs, abdomen ($170). A woman's health screening or two regions is $270, three regions is $325, and four+ regions are $375. Prices for items/supplements are a little more expensive but still reasonable. They say that if there is something you can't find then they might be able to order it for you. This can be a good place to find items or gifts for the health-conscious person.

I am here to advise anyone seeking to get medical treatment from Tabetha Smith. I started seeing…read moreTabetha in April of 2012 and at that time my Thyroid number was at 200 - 160 to 170 being the normal; so it wasn't that way off. By the time I stopped seeing her per my intution that she was literally killing my thyroid my number was at 1475. She prescribed Iodine by huge doses and kept up-ing my dose each time. I finally told her that I wanted to stop being on the iodine for I thought it was the cause of my numbers going up and she did not suggest that. Also, I was told by her office manager that if if I went to an endocrinologist, Tabetha could no longer see me. What was that all about?? So luckily I happened to move to Asheville and now being seen by a Wellness Doctor here and he immediately stopped the iodine. Due to so much iodine in my system my right side of my neck has been hurting since June and since I have eliminated the iodine my neck is almost back to normal. I am now with the help of my new holistic doctor trying to un-do the damage Tabetha created. There was no need to put so much iodine in my body - she could have done it so many other ways if she was knowledgable of other methods. So if you have thyroid issues, do yourself a favor and do not go to Insight Family Health. She may be good for other things, but not the thyroid. She did become defensive upon me questioning her knowledge of the thyroid. I found that unprofessional. A health care person needs to listen to the intution of their patients - especially if you are in holistic health. Thank you for listening, I am on my way to better health,

I came to Tabitha for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. I had been using the pellets for…read moreseveral years before coming to her. I have always been very healthy and had virtually no medical problems my entire life until needing the hormones after an emergency hysterectomy. Almost immediately after going to Tabitha, she started recommending a variety of supplements. I took some of them. Then she informed me that my thyroid was out of whack and that I needed to start taking thyroid medicine. I do not take prescription meds for anything and always try alternatives. When I questioned how long I would have to take the medicine she said, "oh, you would have to take it for the rest of your life because it essentially deactivates or kills your thyroid." Well, my immediate answer was no, I've never had any thyroid problems before now. She said, "well, I check markers that most doctors don't check". In addition, since going to her for hrt, I was having nearly daily migraines and was rapidly becoming miserable. I started looking for another natural hormone doctor. I found one nearby and asked them to rerun my bloodwork to check my thyroid. They said, "your thyroid is completely normal". I started going to them for my hrt and have been thrilled with the improvements in my health since. And, when I asked this place to transfer my records, the gal in the front office (who may be Tabithas mother) was very rude and nasty to me for leaving their practice and would not even give me some of the information I asked for. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
