Levity Live! Levity Live! Been here three times, most recently a Friday night this past March to see Gary Owens. The show is ALWAYS good thanks to the comedians (previously seen Mike Epps and Monique). But the food is very lacking, and I would give it 2 stars. They do not have anything special on their menu, typical American food just made poorly. Their drinks are decent. Waiters come to your table to take orders just as the show is about to begin. The venue itself is a good size which allows you to view the stage from wherever you are sitting. P.S. it is best to get to there early as there tends to be a long line read more

I saw Sheryl Underwood here last night. She said not to expect that person we know from The Talk. Her show was a bit cruder but she commands the stage. Unlike other entertainers, she came out first and had two other comedians after her. There was a man with a 100 year birthday and Sherri made every effort to make it special. People came on stage for various reasons to take photos with her at the end and it was a great event. The only part I didn't like was trying to buy a ticket. I couldn't online since their system didn't take my credit card. I tried to call but they don't answer their phones. So I took a chance and went there directly right before the show. The box office also had a problem! Manager said I have one of those cards that needs a mailing address. It does because (she went on to say) I had to be entered into their system first as a new customer! That makes more sense why 'I had one of those cards'. As for Levity Live itself, the waitstaff is very accommodating, The venue is newer looking and roomy and creates a lighthearted, fun atmosphere. As for the long line that forms beforehand, it subsides after a half hour when the initial early bird crowd goes in. If you go to the second show, you have to wait for the first show to end! I also had to ask for a better seat not offered to me initially. All in all, I had a good time for a reasonable price and the Asian Chicken Salad was delicious. read more

Great spot to get your comedy fix! Don't however plan to war there or getting your monies worth on the drinks. Also on a busy, night service is spotty at best. My advise is that you eat before you arrive- you must order a drink so keep it basic & enjoy the comedy which is really why you're there right? The food is mostly reheated- the top of the spinach dip was hard from being reheated and without utensils it's challenging to eat. The quesadillas lacked flavor- the sliders however were tasty. You come here strictly for the comedians. If your looking for great or even just good service , food or drinks this isn't the place for you. Went to see Russell Peters and if you haven't heard of him you need to look him up . He and the two other acts were awesome. For two hours no one was politically correct, strangers sat at the same table and cracked up at jokes that in the outside world would send people into a frenzy. Laughter really is the best medicine! The acts did a great job. Now the service. Wow just so bad ! Our waitress should really find a different path. We waited 25 minutes after her initial "I'll be right with you" to us even get a glass of water. We got to the point that when she finally came to us we ordered everything at once including multiple drinks because we knew the mood I'd be in if I had to keep waiting like that. They make everyone order two items but do yourself a favor and eat before you go and if you are drinking do that before also. I ordered a wine and it rotten and was $11. The beer selection wasn't good and I saw about 5 people actually send back mixed drinks! The food was premade and over priced. Only good thing was the califlower. This is my 2nd review for Levity Live which I'm downgrading a bit to 3 stars. Unlike last time, under 3 months ago, the apps on the table were barely warm. I ordered my true and trusty wings and i was contemplating sending them back for a reheat. I asked my friends at the table how they found their orders to be --- same reply as me! It's reasonable how you are only required to buy a 2 item minimum. The waiters DO hustle, don't mix up the orders, are friendly, and are patient especially when a retired school teacher didn't trust the answer that a fellow waiter wasn't her student greater than twenty years ago. They STILL kept their cool from being unnecessarily disturbed in this busy venue. Show was full of energy with full audience attention! Will return again. read more

This is a great venue to see very good comedians. The layout is the usual comedy club setup, but with great views of the stage. Yes, the tables are a bit tight, but no worse than ANY comedy club; maybe a little better. The service was near perfect, and the prices were reasonable. Surprisingly, the food is better than any club we've been to. No, it's never going to get a Michelin Star, but the food was delivered quickly, hot, and was delicious. Our booth had street tacos, Asian chicken salad, pizza, Buffalo cauliflower, and some very well-made cocktails. This visit was as close to perfect as possible. We ordered the pretzels as an appetizer. There were only 2 small pretzels for $14! It tasted like it just came out of the microwave. It was super hard. Everything tasted like horrible bar food : tasteless, poor quality and not fresh. I had chicken quesadillas and they tasted like again they came from the microwave. How can you mess that up ?! Show was great. When we were brought in to be seated we asked for a high top along the back wall. They scurried around then asked us to wait at the bar which wasn't open to guests. We stood there looking around for a few minutes and then went back in asking why were we the only ones asked to wait by the bar. Even the bartenders read us our rights saying we can't get drinks. Which we didn't even ask for. We were asking for the worst seats in the house so not sure what the problem was. Fries were a soggy mess but everyone in the theater seemed to be ordering them. Went to see my favorite NY Kings of Comedy on July 1,2023 @7pm. I was with 3 other family members for a night out. We sat at a nice spot and service was good. Young lady was attentive and took our orders. Food was good. Show began on time and all was going good until "Capone" came out. He appeared so drunk that he sat on a stool to deliver his jokes. He wore an old T shirt and some pants that looks like he had them on the whole day. I saw Capone at a show there a few months before and he was "on point", dressed with a jacket and looked presentable. His jokes were hilarious, but this time, damn, someone there should've checked him. Even the people in the audience was laughing. I don't know if it was with him or AT him. The venue itself was nice, clean, and accommodating to a bigger group of people. The service was fast and communicative and you have the ability to pay for your bill whenever you like through your phone. That being said the food is not that great and expensive for no reason. $15 for 5/6 mozzarella sticks in this economy? And they put the sticks on a black paper napkin so that they can stick to the cheese coming out of your mozzarella sticks. I'm not paying $15 for the fiber from a black paper napkin on a mediocre mozzarella stick. If you try your best to not order food and just order a $7 lukewarm bottle of water you should be fine. read more

I've seen a bunch of shows here, Trevor Noah, Anthony Jeselnik, and a few others. The previous shows were pretty good, and I didn't order any entrees, just a drink and a snack. Last night however - I saw Louis CK, and came from another state to get there. The show was supposed to start at 8, it started after 8:30, I needed to order food and there were only like 4 options out of their usual larger menu, and the food was terrible. We got the pretzels and the margarita pizza. I didn't expect good food given the audience size and the fact that its not a "restaurant" but this was really bad. There was 0 attempt for any COVID regulation I felt like I was on a NYC subway packed in with everyone else. This venue wasn't bad in the past but it seemed like they were well over capacity for what they could actually afford to hold. As for the show, it was very short, the host talked longer than the opener, and Louis was practicing new material which isn't a bad thing however his set was only like 30 minutes long. After his short set they made the host talk for like 30 more minutes while they handed out checks - so that we could I guess not dine and dash? This was super awkward for both the host and the audience. Ruining any sort of potential good time we had. Louis was definitely rusty but he was funny at times. read more

I wanted to start by thanking Leon, the one guy that actually did his job. I come in, and have to stand in the lobby waiting for someone to check my tickets and let me in. Staff is walking around the bar, making conversation, none of them helping us. Finally, Leon comes out, checks our tickets, seats us. We wait for our server to come help us. And we wait, and wait. Finally, I had to flag down Leon and ask him to find our server, who clearly didn't think to check on us. Then, after we placed our orders, we had to flag down Leon again to check on our food, since it took so long to come out. And then we had to ask another member of the staff to bring us utensils and napkins. She said Okay, walked off, and never came back. Had to ask Leon for help again. I felt bad because we had to keep interrupting him from doing his actual job, but he was apologetic to us for all the waiting. I've attended two events at this venue and during each time Ive had a blast! The first time I attended this venue with a group of 23 folks (Hubby Birthday) and they accommodated us rolling out the red carpet. They run a tight ship so do arrive on time or else you will be seated away from your party or in the lobby. When you walk in the venue, the seating is pretty spacious compared to other venues but your still seated closely to one another. Food is reasonably priced and the drinks. We purchased hot wings and fries $13 bucks and my drink $10. Hubby had chicken fingers $12 and fruit punch $8.. Then don't forget they have a lottery so you can win $40 off food and drinks... Guess What? WE WON! Owwww We only had to leave a tip!! You can't beat that! I had the best time and the performer was DL Hughley... What a joke? This venue is so disrespectful to their patrons, they must have forgotten that their customers are their lifeline. The abusive confrontational and nasty attitude was evident as we were ushered to our seats. We purchased tickets to see the comedy show and planned to support the local comedy environment with lots of eats and drinks. One of the members in my group slightly adjusted the table because there weren't adequate spacing for people to sit. That's when all hell broke loose, we were yelled at by the Manager who refused to give us his name. (Asian male) with his ((African American) co-worker. We obliged and immediately gave them the opportunity to re-arrange and set the table as to how they thought it should be. At this point we thought the drama was over, far from it!! They returned 5 mins later to ask a member of our group move again, this time switching seats with empty chair at our table. He refused, why should he have an empty chair between him and his party? We were all asked to leave because we broke the clubs policy by slightly adjusting the table to become a little more comfortable. At this point it became very embarrassing and we decided to leave, not going to support any establishment that thinks it is okay to treat theirs customers like that. To other surprise when we got to the entrance there were six cops waiting for us. Unreal !! I have Never had the police called on me ever. Just thought it was important to the patrons of this club to be aware of the very bad practices that is part of this establishment. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I love a real damn good laugh and crack up on the floor. I really do. Seriously. When jokes are funny. Getting here might be tricky to some, but use ThEATery's or Target's 4th floor entrance to get to Levity Live entrance. Decent size Bar- is nice to mingle before the show. Theater is spacious with tables and booths towards the back giving you a nice angle of the stage. The spotlight was on seasoned comedian, Carlos Mencia who headlined the event. He was hilarious and made everybody laugh. The comedian (forgot his name) who followed Carlos Mencia, delivered rude, inappropriate and insulting jokes. I felt his material was downright offensive. So much so, Women booed him and men talked under their breaths. I felt uncomfortable for what seemed as an eternity during this wanna-be comedian's routine. With the exception of Carlos Mencia, everything that night, was dull. On top of that, Levity's menu has unexciting, cocktails. The only items worth drinking were the simple reds, whites and beers. The required 2-drink minimum purchase to see a comedy show, left me unhappy since their "cocktails" reminded me of straight up Kool Aid and many with an outrageous $18-Manhattan price tag. Servers had a few misses. But I get it- they have to repeatedly walk back and forth with orders and trays of food. Even with Levity's really cool marquee names, I might think long and hard about venturing here again. I'll base my evening on who's performing and trying not to waste money on watered-down drinks. read more

So, this review is NOT about the talent, but is about the food, location and service. Talent can be hit or miss, food and service should be consistent. Our server took over 10 minutes from when we were seated to take our drink order. It then took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. This is one area where they will lose money. Get the folks in and drinking as fast as you can. Bring as many drinks as they want. After we finally got our drinks, and polished them off quickly, it took a half hour for our waitress to come back and offer more drinks. Fail. We pulled the plug on additional drinks. For our food order, I got wings and the short rib entree. The wings look like they came from a chick, not a chicken. Truly the smallest wings I've ever seen. The sauce was overly sweet and not spicy AT ALL and they had the cahones to call them Buffalo Wings. Fail. Then, the entree finally came. They got one order wrong (a burger) and it took them over 20 minutes to get the order replaced. That sucked and we were getting close to the end of the show. I started the short ribs and while the outside was cool, the inside was hot. This food was SO microwaved. Quality sucks. Fail. If you come here for comedy, stick to drinks, if you are lucky enough to have a server that will be timely. Avoid the food and bring a fat wallet. Nothing here is cheap, even when you get the prepaid deal. read more

Saw Anthony Jeselnik here last week. Jeselnik of course was fantastic, and his opener and the emcee were also terrific. Sightlines (from where we were sitting, at least) were also excellent. And our waiter was very nice and attentive. So why just three stars? We were sitting near the kitchen, and the kitchen staff seemed to be having a party of their own. They were so loud that they seriously detracted from our experience. Jeselnik is a comedian who relies on precise timing--he uses silence the same way a great jazz musician does--and the kitchen staff, guffawing at their own jokes five feet away from us, almost seemed like they were doing their best to disrupt him. read more

I have been going to this place for many years and I must admit, it's getting worse as time passes. For one, NO HEAT. It wasn't just this night as there is a previous post from a month ago with the same compliant. Now, I have bronchitis!!! Two, can we talk about how dirty the bathroom was?? There was more than enough time to have someone do a quick run through. Three... The waitress brought out my bill and asked if I wanted anything else as the kitchen was closing.. LOL.. I had to advise her that myself nor my guest never received our food. (This has happened in the past).. This was a wonderful experience I've been able to see the Waynes brothers, Marlon Wayne by himself and Todd Joseph Miller. I seen that with both friends and family over the years and every time I'm left laughing and wanting to come back to see more. The area and spacing for the show is a small area but there is adequate amount of space to be able to move around. The staff as well as the security are very kind and friendly and they explain all the rules and as long as you follow them they will be in kind of issues. Everyone around is very happy not only to see the warm up act but also main show comedian as well. It's not just comedians that perform at this business salesman you also have magicians and you also have people from podcast and other informational shows as well too. I would recommend this to other friends and family members and I do see this as a wonderful opportunity to sit back and laugh when u are having your toughest times. read more

I have a very mixed review about Levity Live after last nights visit. Levity Live has been a favorite place of mine since they opened. They have great comedians and the prices for a comedy club are extremely reasonable especially when they have headliners. As far as comedy clubs are concerned this is the most comfortable one Ive been too. You may be sitting at a table with other people but you are at a regular table so it's comfortable. If you are lucky enough to snag one of the few booths they have , even better. Last night , we want to see Anthony Rodia. Comedians were great. The wait staff not so much. Usually they are great. Last night we had a waitress and a host with bad attitudes. They weren't very accommodating. I asked if we could sit at a 4 person table on top rather then sitting at an 8 person table with strangers bc my friend is Ill and compromised. The man I spoke to had an terrible attitude and acted like I was asking for a free meal. He said If you want that you have to wait in the bar area and wait or sit at the table up against the wall. The way he spoke to me was Very cold and unsympathetic. We chose to sit against the wall. The server was also cold and abrupt. They also changed their menu and the food isn't as good as it was before. Although we didn't have a great night w the staff , we loved the show! Maybe the owners should do some training with their wait staff. That would make this an even bette replace to visit read more

Food terrible and expensive. Service slow. Customer service poor. Management poorer. No heat this Sunday and it was snowing. Even the performers joked about the cold environment. The mall overall had heat. I've been going to the club for a long time. This current management team is the worst. I will never go there again not unless they leave. The person who seats customers stuffs everyone together even when there are available seats. While the government is recommending mask wearing again they obviously don't watch the news if so they would have kept us a little further apart when they have the space. So sad that a historically nice place is cutting so many corners that ppl are going to stay away. Even the ketchup is horrible. It comes out cold and clumpy looking. I purchased tickets in advance for 4 people celebrating my daughter's birthday for a Friday night show at 9:30pm. We arranged our schedule for the show, traveled over 35 minutes and paid toll and gas to get there, just to get to the door and find out that the show was canceled. They never notified anyone via email, text, or phone call. The excuse was we didn't sell enough tickets, so we canceled the show. Out of courtesy we should have been notified, when asking staff why we weren't notified, the only thing they could say was sorry. To top it off they weren't going to refund money, I had to ask them if I was going to be refunded, then they refunded money. Honestly one of the worst customer experiences ever. read more

I have to say I was EXTREMELY skeptical due to the reviews but then pleasantly surprised! I came for a comedy show and got there about 45 minutes before the show was about to start which was the right amount of time, the line got crazy long after I arrived. Parking is super easy, park near target and enter at the mall entrance between Target and Barnes and Noble. A waiter came to our table almost immediately and we put in drink and snack orders. The food and drinks came out pretty quickly and were not bad! A little expensive but exactly what I would expect for a comedy club. My only complaint is that I would have liked another drink but the waiter didn't come back (not a huge deal). Overall I would definitely go back! read more

I had NO idea that there was a comedy club inside the Palisades Mall! My friends took me to go see Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) and I was impressed by the venue! The room is fairly large and we were seated at a booth (no extra charge-I think maybe because my friends originally had Friday night tickets and she cancelled the show. They came back with two extra people). The booth was comfortable and we could see the stage-this is our new preferred seating area because the other tables are shared with strangers (if we were seated at a regular table, I think I would have rated it 4 stars). The service was outstanding! There is a two drink minimum per person so we all ordered a drink and a food item. The food is delicious and came out so quickly. The drinks were good and strong! The audio quality is good and overall, this place is just fun! What really wants me back is the quality of service. Great job, Levity!! I can't wait to come back! read more

This place sucks!!!! I purchased two (2) VIP tickets on Feb 25th for a March 15th show featuring SNL and Disjointed star, Chris Redd. Thought I'd check their website yesterday and noticed another comedian was scheduled to appear 3/15. Apparently Chris Redd was moved to May 2020. Long & short, no one contacted me via phone or email to notify me of this change. I bought those tickets to celebrate my own 3/16 BDay. Is that good business to pull a switch-a-roo and not advise paying customers. No lube at all used. I'll never go to this place ever again and I better receive my full refund or I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more
