I love to go here, never had any trouble for the year or so I would come in. Got some new guy this time though. Asked for a half inch fade. Guy says let's do a 1 and see what it looks like. I took that as 1" fade and said sure, why not. Spins me around and my hair is pretty much shaved off. Guy then said he also blended my beard but just used the same guard and cut the edges back. Guy Said sorry for the confusion even though I told him exactly what I wanted, acting as if it was my fault. I expect this kind of cut from a chain, but not from a local barber. My experience here was okay. I get a fade in the sides and scissor cut the top. Imo, they didn't want to scissor cut the top. After two haircuts here the top was getting pretty long and I went elsewhere. I think 6th city barbershop offers a better service at a cheaper price. But perhaps I just didn't effectively communicate what I wanted to the barber and should of asked to have them cut the top more at the end of my haircut. I will say though, they spent 20min cutting my hair and 6th city barbershop spent 45 min for a cheaper price! read more

Neighborhood barber shop with talented employees who are dedicated to their art. I'm new to the area and glad to have finally found a barbershop worth frequenting. Good prices and friendly staff who take the time to do it right. Ashley has given me some of the best haircuts I've ever had. Be aware that this is a cash only joint and although they take walk ins, it pays to call ahead and book as there is usually someone waiting. Unbelievably professional treatment like the old school ways. Becci took me as a first time customer and in spite of my "not so corporate" appearance when I walked in, i left feeling like I was the CEO! Attention to every detail using all her skills with a razor trim of my beard, as well as my hair. Hot lather and a razor is a rarity anymore as only those licensed as a barber are allowed to use. These girls will amaze you with their skill as the wonderfully calm atmosphere of their barber shop lets you relax and enjoy your time. Only minutes out of Downtown Cleveland, this little 2 chair gem of a barber shop is a definite quick stop for that last minute corporate meeting. Give a call as those 2 chairs are not open often. Appointments are recommended even tho they do take walk in's when they can. Leave your credit card in the office as they are cash only. But for under 25.00 I was amazed at the level of service I received. read more

You need to have better signage indicating you are cash only. You should also sit appointments prior to walk-ins. I made an appointment as a first time customer, for thirty minutes from when I called. I understand that's short notice, but it would have been better to be told something along the lines of "we only accept appointments 24 hours in advance" than to walk into the shop on time, wait for 20-30 minutes for a chair to come open, and have a walk-in take the seat before I even got a "what's your name?" to see if I might have been the person that had called not an hour earlier to make an appointment. You need to greet people when they come on the door, and if you take appointments and plan on growing your business, then you should probably ask clients name if you don't recognize them when they walk in - just to make sure you're keeping track of who has an appointment and who doesn't. A sign on the door, or ANYTHING larger than the 5x10 index card that proclaims "No Credit" (not "cash only", not "no card payments", not even "no credit cards", just "no credit"), stuffed into a corner on top of the AC unit, should also be a consideration. Maybe even asking people as they walk in/call in, "is this your first time here?" so you can determine if you need to tell them about your cash only policy. It's fine to be cash only, but people need to know, before they ask you after sitting in your shop waiting for their appointment 30 minutes after it was scheduled. You seem like nice people, but you're technicians, and from my perspective you don't seem to have much business sense in terms of developing new client base. I can't rate the hair cut because I was frustrated enough by the lack of courtesy and pertinent information that I walked out without my cut, wasting my time and your time. I won't be returning myself, but I hope you all address these deficiencies and continue to thrive in the neighborhood. read more

Loved this place and the ladies were fantastic! I came in from out of town (live in Texas), but needed a haircut badly! They fit me in while also making me feel like a regular! Also the price was way too low for the quality. I doubled it with my tip and still feel like I got a great deal. I just wish I got to Cleveland more than once or twice a year!! read more

After visiting here several times for a haircut, I can't in good conscience recommend this place for men that are either a) picky about their hair, b) have complex hair (cowlicks, etc.) or c) have a good amount of hair. It's a good spot if you need a haircut in a pinch or have extremely short, easily managed hair given the reasonable prices. I've seen people getting steam shaves and looks legit. You know how they hold the mirror up to make sure the back of your hair looks ok to you? 50% of the time mine doesn't here. I've never had that happen anywhere else in my barbershop/salon-going career. If there's a wait, they seem to expedite haircuts a bit, which makes me nervous. eOn positive is they use a straight razor on your neck which I haven't run across in Cleveland. I'm on the fence on 2 vs 3 stars, because they do give acceptable haircuts generally, but want to get a fair warning out there for anyone considering going. read more

You must get the steam shave. It's an incredible experience and it won't break the bank. I brought my dad here last month and he was hooked instantly. I knew he would be -- that's why I scheduled my appointment 6 months in advance even though 99% of the time, you can make your appointment for the next day. (Note that shave and a haircut requires an appointment on Saturday but is walk-in any other day.) One thing to note, you need to bring cash. This and Civilization are cash-only so come prepared. read more

They cut my two year old son's hair and they were great with him, too, and have some childrens books in the waiting area that helped keep him occupied. Latinas with knives...and scissors. Now that I have your attention, let me expand on this. Trust these girls with your haircut. There are no frills here. You don't get shampooed, you don't get massaged, you don't have your time wasted. What they will do: 1) cut your hair and make you look good and 2) shave your neck with a straight edge. came here for the first time and got a haircut and beard trim by Ashley. she did a great job, good attention to detail with bear trim and pretty good with the haircut. service besides from the stylist could probably improve along with the shop's environment. overall, though, definitely a good feeling leaving with a clean cut and will be coming back. Solid spot for a basic haircut ($12) or a straight edge shave. Hours aren't great (close at 6pm weekdays) but if you go ~10am on Saturday there is never a wait. Two no-nonsense Latinas do the cutting so don't expect a "please turn your head to the side" -- they're gonna do the turning for you right after ninja attacking your brows or nose hair... it's an experience, but a good one. read more

Great barber shop. Both of the barbers are really good. The barber that works closer to the register presses a little harder on the clippers, so I tell her to use a #4 clip, rather than the usually #3. Nice straight razor shave. I would highly recommend this shop. read more

A great barbershop at a very reasonable price. The ladies here are quite friendly and they do a great job. I was going to another barbershop at a much higher price and read their reviews on yelp so I decided to give them a try. Well they got me right in within a hour after I called and was out within a half hour. With a savings of over 8 bucks over my last barber and just as good of a job if not better. Again very good experience. The only reason for not giving them five stars is they don't take credit/debit cards which is would be a plus, but hey with their price cash is all right. read more

I moved from Easton to Nazareth 2 years ago and tried to find a local barber, as it is 35 minutes to get to Gentleman's Barber shop. However nothing is better then Gentleman's Barber shop.
