Today for the 1st time we went to the Raleigh Farmers Market and was absolutely shocked at their offerings. All the vendors are eager to serve and please so, we loaded up on fruits and vegetables. I'm so happy I'm back to my normal diet. From this day forward I will always support the local farmers and never again buy fruits and vegetables from the grocery store.

Visited recently late on a Sunday ( maybe an hour before they closed) Great location with plenty of parking. Besides fresh produce, it also has fresh fish, a seafood restaurant, and a few other specialty shops. Open 7 days a week, I would go all the time if I lived in the area. But like most farmer's markets, "most" prices are no cheaper than your local grocery store, but the selecatiosn here are great. Espeially now in the Fall with tiomns of pumpkins & gourds, Saw stands with huige selections of plants & shrubs for home gardens & landscaping. Bought some fresh NC corn & honey. One stand had a HUGE selection of almost every pepper I ever heard off. Cant wait to go back. ( no pets!)

I found that an elderberry vendor was here (and said they were each week) along with a micro greens farmer made this very helpful and a realistic alternative to the raleigh farmers market for those of us on this side of the triangle. Honey farmer (harvester?) was also there and the honey was really good. Fruits and vegetables along with some craft people were also there. I really recommend this as an addition to the normal shopping as it seems to be a reliable place to get food for the house.

They always keep it well and clean in there, and it has a wide variety of produce options along with some other things like fish, meat, pickled things, and olives etc. The servers at the food bar are nice, earlier today I got some flounder, shrimp, green beans, and some fried okra, and it was delicious, would definitely recommend.

Today we stopped & scored some amazingly awesome strawberries that had just been picked from the field, they were unloading baskets of these sweet babies right out of the back of a pick-up truck while we were standing there, still had dew on'em from just being freshly picked from the berry patch. These are some very clean, nice looking berries, not dirty or dusty like some you find at farms or roadside stands and they taste amazing, nothing like a fresh picked sweet strawberry...Get by here early if you want berries, they start selling at 9:30am & close when they sell out for the day & do it all over again the next day until the season is over. Today they just had strawberries & tomatoes, but in a few weeks there will be a whole bunch of other items up for grabs once pockin' time gets here.

I was only there to shop for produce.i will return to sample the beers . but I the farmers market offerings were more in line with a flea market that a true farmers market. I have found very little in the way of non gmo,pesticide free,organic produce markets in fayetteville. ces't la vie! will uber up and try a couple of flights on a Friday or Saturday night.especially want to try the blood orange kolsch. I worked a small Houston brewery for 6 years before moving here 2 yrs ago and I love dirt bag vibe. looking forward to returning in the near future.
