I have been going to First Baptist Church for almost three years now. Ever since our very first…read morevisit, we have been warmly welcomed, and when needed, provided with spiritual, logistical, and financial support. We had just moved into the area, and the Womens Ministry had a baby shower for me, just a short 7 months after I started attending the church. By the loving actions of various people in the church, as well as the church establishment, I have had help moving, help with car problems, help paying a heating bill, and also have had people in the church take care of my children when I needed it. I have always been encouraged, but never pressured to get involved in ministry which, by the grace and leading of God, I am able to do in several ways. There is a large elderly population here, but also a growing number of young families and a staff that really cares about seeing people grow in their faith and encourages people to get out there and do the work that God has for you. If you are looking for a church, I would strongly suggest checking this one out. These people take "Church Family" very seriously!

This constant thing was inappropriate I asked for none of this I guess he finally remembered he was married and did this stupid talk with me about horses. Some nice people ie the couple who sat in front of me and the disabled man who said Hi and was always appropriate. Found many were unfriendly including the "art" person I do midwestern art and wished I had not went. I quit going for true Christians don't do what that man did. I would give this a 2 rating. Oh yes the man who I think is a stolen valor of Vietnam vets was un believable.

I was sad to hear he went to be with the Lord not long after I left Beaverton. Glad to be back to visit and see the name change with new logo. This is still my spiritual home. Everything is still vivid and still in love with this place.
