I was referred to West Valley Spine and thought, "Okay, it's going to be a long time before I hear from them to set up an appointment." Wrong. They contacted me a couple of weeks later and I got in there soon after, too. They have two locations, in near downtown Meridian and in Caldwell. Been to both locations and saw the same doctor and assistant, Sarah Wilson and Edgar. This whole situation is brand new to me and I was a bit apprehensive, but I need not have been. Both were so friendly and took their time to explain everything. Sarah is very knowledgable and she has my trust. Recently had to go in for a second look-see as my pain has increased-dang those family genes. They got me in right away and again I was met with professionalism and friendly folks. Now, I get to experience some physical therapy (review later on that one).

We were on a very tight schedule to get the paperwork we needed and make it to another appointment with the specialist in Meridian. There were some insurance requirements that were holding it up and almost made it impossible to get to both doctors offices, but between Mindy, Sophia and Zayra, we got exactly what we needed right on time. I've never met office staff who were so nice and accommodating and caring. On top of that, Mindy was fantastic, took care of us, didn't push and got us exactly what we needed. Thank you!

I had a bone density scan this week at St. Luke's Eagle location. A majority of my appointments…read moreusually take place downtown or in Meridian. So, it was nice to have a 5 minute drive to my appointment since this office is down the road from me. The receptionist here is so nice! The downtown location should take a couple lessons from the Eagle location. The receptionist smiled at me. She was kind asking me my general check in questions. She had personality. These basic skills are lacked in 90% of the people who work in registration downtown. If I can have all my appointments here, I would. I hung out in the waiting area till it was my turn. Zach, the imaging tech called me back to the scanning room. He went through the process of the scan with me and guided on how my properly lay on the scan machine. He had me position my legs differently for a couple scans. And before I knew it, I was done. It was quite an easy process which was nice. My other appointments require getting poked at. The Eagle office is night and day compared to Downtown. They are so nice here. It's a smaller facility with an Urgent Care unit which is nice for non emergency visits. It bums me out that I have to deal with the rude receptionists and security check in staff when I'm Downtown. But it was nice to see how the other half are treated at this location. I will have to get more appointments fulfilled here. I leave happy which is nice.

We got to the ER about 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday, were taken right back, and treated immediately. The nurses and ER doctors were fantastic. Very caring, very friendly, and very thorough.

I was in the ER at the Garrity location on 10/31/25. I was involved in an auto accident. We were…read morehit by a person running a red light. I want to say that the nursing staff was excellent! They were attentive and knowledgeable as well as being helpful. Its the two doctors that im not very impressed by. The first doctors shift was almost over, we arrived at approximately 1-1:30 pm, his shift would end up being over before we left. I ended up getting a right torn MCL. He had mentioned getting a brace or even crutches, but thats all, i never got either. The other doctor that took his place was a lady, said she read his notes and she also mentioned a brace. But a lass i never got one, i picked one up my self at Walgreens. The only problem is that it wasn't a good brace. But it was the best that they had. They told me to follow up with my PCP in two weeks. I was never given any pain meds even a partial script would have been nice. An MRI would have been nice but that wasnt even an option. They could have ordered one at the boise hospital the next day but know all i had done was a X-ray. I made an appointment with my PCP approximately a week and a half later, but i wasnt seen until after the two week time. My PCP ordered a MRI so that was later that week. And my PCP made a referral to ortho, but i couldn't get in until Dec, i think he 2 week of December. The PA said he normally wouldn't operate due to my age. He had me make an appointment with Dr Denny but i couldn't get in to see him until mid January. He said had he saw the MRI closer to the time of the accident he would have operated on my knee, but due to the time since the accident it was to late. Now Dr Denny said we will try PT after my appointment in February. And if I want another MRI we can talk about that at the appointment. I was stressed because of the accident, he hit us doing at least 45mph. I personally think it was at least 50. Ok so people make mistakes they could have called after the fact and had me come back for a brace. Dr Denny said that had i had a brace closer to the start, it may have helped the scaring and healing process. I know ill have to deal with the fact that the other driver wasn't paying attention. I just never thought that doctors at Saint Alphonsus would not be paying attention. I had to think about what i wanted to say, is why it took me this long. The paramedics asked where did i want to go, since I work for the hospital i figured lets go there. I just regret not going to Saint Lukes, i just wonder if the outcome would be different? My PCP with Saint Als did a great job and she did what she said. D. Perkins at Garrity UC. The PA with ortho, why didnt he talk to dr Denny? Maybe it could have been repaired then I may have been doing PT by now. This experience with the ER just left a bad taste in my mouth. Again the nurses in the ER that day were fantastic, i hope they get some recognition. I feel like I was let fall through the cracks. It has left a not so good feeling with me.

My only concern involves the check-in and appointment scheduling process at the front desk. Each time I make an appointment -- especially when scheduling in person -- I'm asked to explain the reason for my visit aloud in a public setting. It's uncomfortable discussing personal medical information when other staff members and patients in the waiting area can overhear the conversation. I completely understand that some information may be needed for scheduling purposes, but I believe there should be a more private and discreet way to handle those conversations to better protect patient confidentiality and comfort. Other than that concern, the quality of care from the medical team has been excellent.

A family member of mine was recently diagnosed with an auto immune disease, for the sake of medical privacy it will be left at that. Under reasonable suspicion, with corroborating symptoms, it was advised to me to visit my primary and begin a soft approach into the potential research of myself also being affected by it. The doctor ordered an EKG as preliminary, and tasked his nurse Maria to do so. In preparation she asked "something wrong with your heart?" I replied, "Unsure, this may be part of other things I'm researching.." Interrupted, she responded with a chuckle "like (insert my family members diagnosis) man Google can be such a liar huh?" Baffled, I gave an automated response being in shock that a nurse could so simply diminish the concerns I'm having, while also implying that I was there because Google MD told me to. Patients rely on medical staff to treat their concerns with professionalism and respect. Dismissing my visit with comments that implied I was overreacting or relying on Google was inappropriate and undermined my confidence in the care I was seeking. Taking initiative in my own health should not be met with ridicule. Experiences like this reflect poorly on the practice as a whole and ultimately influenced my decision to seek care elsewhere.

We waited 2.5 hrs to see a Dr. Everyone said, "Oh yeah, those are questions for the Dr. He comes in huffing under his mask. Breathing heavily... We asked him about 4 questions, and his response was, "You guys have a lot of questions," then proceeded to be very dismissive as if we were supposed to know the answers. He had a very poor bedside manner and poor professionalism in general. The nurse and paramedic weren't any better. One nurse bragged that she'd been taking blood for years. Another said I won't dig your vein, and yet they both ended up hurting her arm. Very rude and cold people- no warmth or decent bedside for people who work in the medical field l. The Dr. was ridiculous rude- acting as if we were interrupting his evening with a few questions.
