I was miles from home and didn't feel safe driving with it like that. I happened to be in Chilliwack, so I stopped at a Honda service centre to see if they could help. They told me their minimum charge was $199 and couldn't say how long the repair would take. Since Canadian Tire was nearby, I tried them next. Their quote was $155, but the wait time was 2.5 hours because they were so busy. Feeling stuck, I drove around the block to Great Canadian Oil Change, hoping they might at least take a look. To my surprise, the mechanic, Mark Tyler, told me to pull into the bay and said he'd fix it for free. It took less than five minutes. While he worked, another mechanic checked my oil, topped up my washer fluid, and even checked my tire pressure--also free. I was honestly blown away. Both the Honda service centre and Canadian Tire wanted to charge $199 and $155 for something that clearly takes under ten minutes (I've had this issue before in Kamloops). Meanwhile, Great Canadian Oil Change fixed it immediately, kindly, and without charging me a cent. Unbelievable service at an unbelievable price. I'm genuinely grateful. I'm particularly grateful to the mechanic, Mark Tyler--Excellent job!

I recently took my motorhome in for an oil change on the chassis and generator. Last year and this…read moreyear I dropped in to get a quote and on both occasions I spoke with one of the owners, son, Jason Giesbrecht who gave me a quote of approx. $100 + tax ($70 for the motorhome and $30 for the generator). I decided to give them a try as most others are $120 for both. It appears after speaking to his father, Larry Giesbrecht they arbitrarily decided I should be charged an additional labour charge for the generator of $25 without my knowing. After having the work done the bill now came in at $150 ! When I questioned Jason about the extra billing he said they needed to be compensated for the extra work for the generator but that is why I asked for the quote. No additional work was needed other than the oil changes so there should be no extra charges! When I challenged him on the price and the quote he held his position and became very defensive. Even after telling him that they needed to be honorable or I wouldn't be back they held their position. We Canadians don't want to be argumentative but I should have refused to pay the extra billing. I told Jason I would not be back and, under protest, paid the bill. As I was leaving, Larry came out saying to take my F'KING business elsewhere because they didn't want my business anyways! I have noticed their empty bays as I drive past their shop on a regular business so maybe their reputation is starting to get around but, just in case I'D SAY DON'T REWARD THIS BUSINESS WITH YOURS. They have a few things to learn about being honorable and certainly don't understand the meaning of customer service! NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THEM!!!!

They had my tire repaired on car by 5pm, when they closed. 5 star primarily since they were honest and great attention to detail. In such situations, shady shops could easily take advantage and say tire not repairable and make have us buy a new tire. Was also able to watch techs from window inside wait room - good transparency.
