Listen, pharmacies these days are a dime a dozen. You can't go anywhere without seeing a chain pharmacy. With that said, Moe at Westborn is a breath of fresh air. I was referred to him by a good friend of mine and they weren't wrong! The medicine I take is a bit difficult to use. Muhammad took more time with me than the doctor who prescribed me the prescription. He explained exactly what the medicine is, what it does and how it works. When there was an issue with my insurance, he called them and spoke with the insurance company at length to straighten things out. You don't get that kind of personal touch at a big box pharmacy. I truly don't know what these other people are talking about with their negative reviews, but anyone with common sense can probably surmise that those people were denied some bogus prescription that Moe refused to fill. It happens all across America. The opioid crisis is real and I wish these people would seek help rather than get on Yelp to leave negative reviews for ethical pharmacists that refuse to fill bunk prescriptions. In conclusion, this place brings you back to the days where a business owner cared about their customers. I sometimes just stop by to hang out with Muhammad and talk about the Lions, Pistons or Ford. I used to get all my scripts from the big chain pharmacies bc I assumed they were better and they could give me the cheapest prices since they are huge chains. I was wrong. Someone recommended Westborn to me. They told me that the owner always tries to help his patients. He tries to find them cheaper alternatives if he can. Anyway, I decided to try him. Why not? I'll never be able to express everything he's done for me and my family. From explaining every single medicine that I've been prescribed to working with drs to find me a cheaper alternative. One time when one of my kids was sick he sent someone to my house to deliver my medicine to me. Another time my dad was visiting and the owner let my dad borrow his coat bc he didn't bring one and it was cold outside. Who does that? The obvious things like finding me cheaper alternatives and talking to me about what I'm taking are great, but the little things, dropping my medicine off, concern for things going on in my life, stopping work to step out and talk to me any time I have a silly question, those are things you won't find at your big chain stores. Love this place!! The staff is amazing and the pharmacist is absolutely exceptional. They make you feel like family when you visit. I have been coming to this pharmacist for 2 years and I fill my medication here monthly. I can say I have had nothing but, a great experience every time. In the past I have gone to CVS, rite aid and all other main stream pharmacies and this pharmacy reminds me of how great a neighborhood pharmacy could be, so I absolutely love this place. I just moved to the area recently and I was looking for a local pharmacy. This pharmacy came highly recommended to me by a friend. This is a wonderful, professional, and family-oriented pharmacy. absolutely love Moe and Joy. They are always friendly and go over the top. I have called last minute because i cant get to my scripts and Joy will bring them that day or if they don't have something i need Moe will call around and try his hardest to get what we need. Moe at Westborn Pharmacy is the best! Not only is he helpful but he's also caring. I call him anytime my father is having a reaction to new medications and he's always willing to help no matter how late in the day it is.
