It really feels like you're in a dungeon or dark castle inside and there's surprisingly a lot of seating (indoors and outdoors). We were able to snag a booth indoors. There's candles everywhere which really add to the ambiance. The servers were attentive and fast and it was nice that they came to the tables to take our drink orders. We just got espresso martinis, which were pretty good. I'd definitely come here again to try the other drinks and enjoy the vibe!

The person helping us seemed to be very overwhelmed with all the people that were in the back area. I and another friend got mocktails and our other friends got real drinks. The inside of this bar is cool but kinda scary feeling. Feels like you are in a basement or a dungeon. It's dimly lit in the inside area. And has candles in the middle of the place with wax dripping down. The bathroom is kinda spooky too. And the sink you have to use a pedal and I could not figure out for the life of me how to get colder water to wash my hands. The water was super hot. I may want to come back here and try an actual drink and maybe experience the inside atmosphere. This bar is below and the restaurant called Roma Cafe.

Gorgeous…read morebar and variety of different seating (comfy chairs, bar seating, large community table), this spot is a great place to go for casual drinks or a nightcap. It's likely best for 2-3 people and not suited for larger groups without a reservation for the sofa seating. The have a set of signature cocktails and seasonal cocktails that rotate. The functional mocktails were surprisingly delicious. I've had the Amarelle (green tea, cherry) a few times and love how refreshing and tart it is. Regarding food, looks like they give the menu a little facelift to keep things interesting and some of the items I've had (like the charcuterie) are currently not on the menu, so check before you go! It's definitely a light bites type of place versus a full dinner. I've enjoyed the lighter fare that I've had in the past!

As for drinks, we tried the espresso martini, the Wilde gray gimlet, the sea cook, and the five of clubs. The espresso martini and a good balance of espresso flavor, and the gimlet was my favorite drink of the bunch. The service was awesome, they were attentive and gave great recommendations on the menu. This is the perfect spot for a date night or night cap happy hour. It's very cosy, doesn't feel like a typical hotel bar! Can't wait to visit again.

Showed up before any sort of rush and snagged two seats at the bar. The overall vibes are great here with lots of interesting decor (lots of movie & horror themed things). The bartender greeted us and was willing to answer any questions we had and immediately got us glasses of water. We then decided on cocktails and she made great tasty drinks to our liking. My wife went with a Daiquiri and had just enough fruity/sweetness with a kick still. I got one of their bourbon drinks and it had a great kick to it. Food wise I ended up getting their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was a delicious sandwich with juicy chicken. My wife got the Jr. Beef and enjoyed it but thought the sauce was a touch spicy (would likely pick another item next time) but very much enjoyed it and finished it still. We split an order of onion rings and they were outstanding, lightly battered but perfectly crispy. Due to sitting at the bar we had fantastic conversations with the bartender who made us feel welcome and provided great service. We talked about our love for animals, Maine and more. Really the perfect example of how the experience of sitting at a bar should be and why you'd return! Give George & Leon's a try if you haven't and if it's been awhile revisit!

The beef was tender, flavorful, and piled just right, with plenty of sauce to make every bite satisfying without being too much. The onion rings were a standout--crispy, golden, and clearly homemade, with great seasoning and a fresh taste you do not get everywhere. This was one of those simple, classic meals done really well. Good portions, great flavor, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find when you are in town. I would gladly order this again.

She was handling a room full of people, including a very large party, all by herself and was gooooooooooood at it. She made my martini extra filthy dirty; she had all the answers for all our questions. For me, there's not much of an atmosphere or vibe or ambiance. It feels like it's catering to an older crowd who doesn't need that, just a place they can have a drink off peninsula and be a little loud about it. It's definitely not a destination spot for anyone looking up "12/24/48 hours in Portland, ME" so if you want to avoid those tourists altogether, this would be a safe spot. Also, if you're vegan, there's not really much to eat. I mean, there's olives, but they're purple (and, I don't know, but I think the green ones are always better)!
