It has nurtured both of my sons: Amir, who began in 2017, and Taj, who joined in 2023. The school has surpassed our hopes in every way we value. WFS provides a loving, supportive, and encouraging environment that fosters a genuine love of learning. It is a place where curiosity is welcomed, where children feel safe to stretch their bodies, ask questions, explore ideas, and grow confidently into themselves. The campus, playground, gym, and learning spaces are exceptional. My children never want to leave--whether they are playing outside, exploring the gym, or engaging in hands-on activities in their classrooms. WFS feels cozy and warm, and the children feel truly at home there. They love their teachers and the Head of School, whose leadership sets a compassionate and joyful tone that radiates throughout the community. What I value most is that learning at WFS extends far beyond ABCs and 123s. My sons are learning how to interact with others, how to be part of a community, and how to embody courage, kindness, and open-mindedness. We have watched both boys thrive not only academically but also as thoughtful, empathetic, and grounded young people. Westbury Friends is an amazing school. My daughter attends the Spanish Immersion Nursery program and she has thrived over the past few months! The teachers are patient, nurturing, and incredibly skilled at making language acquisition feel natural and fun. They weave Spanish seamlessly into play, storytelling, art, music, cooking, and every part of the day, allowing the children to absorb it naturally and effortlessly. Everyday, my daughter has come home with new words and new songs. The time that my daughter has spent at Westbury Friends has been phenomenal. I wouldn't change a thing. I've always been hesitant in her school placement because I need to know she is ok when I'm not around. The communication from all of her teachers and the Head of School is amazing and has put my mind at ease. I receive pictures, videos and updates daily. When I have questions or concerns they're always addressed immediately. Our daughter attends their nursery school. The teachers are loving and dedicated. The head of school is warm, inviting, and accommodating. Her classroom always has the same 2 teachers every day for the full day, which has been so wonderful in allowing our daughter to acclimate to the school. We are so happy here and highly recommend this school! read more

This school is absolutely amazing. I do not have anything negative to say about this school. I discovered this school because the spanish pre-k 3 program my oldest son was in was adopted by this school- Westbury Friends School. He is currently in the spanish immersion Kindergarten class and will be staying in the upcoming years. I will also be enrolling my youngest in the spanish nursery program this coming fall 2024 and couldn't be any more happier and excited. The teachers here treat each child as individual and not to mention the values that are taught in this school are something you can't get in many other schools. Don't hesitate to contact the Head of the school, Ms. Anderson, for any questions you have- she is just an absolutely amazing person and truly cares about each individual child and their needs. We started our son at Westbury Friends for their Pre-K program. Prior to Westbury Friends, he was at an amazing daycare in the city, and prior to that, he had an exceptional nanny for his first 2.5 years of life. Just to say, we have EXTREMELY high standards when it comes to childcare and the type of setting we would leave our son in. We absolutely LOVE Westbury Friends. I think anyone who visits the beautiful campus and meets the teachers and administrators will be blown away. It has been such a great experience for my son who had to deal with a lot of different transitions at the same time (covid, a move, a new home, new sibling, new school). Everyday he is so excited to go to school and when he gets home, he talks non-stop about all they things he did and learned. One more thing I will add, is that Westbury Friends has done such a great job with Covid precautions and making sure everyone is safe. They take it very seriously and I feel like our family safer for it! read more

Your message sounds very polite but in person you were defensive and unapologetic and to be honest, very rude and quite horrible. I have reported your business to the state. Kids and parents deserve better. You were unwilling to discuss more in person but on this chat you sound very polite. Pure hypocrisy. You couldn't even verbalize my son would be safe in your camp after this incident. My son could have lost an eye and all your staff members played it down and tried covering it up. That's not an accident. That was purposeful. Your secretary screaming at parents.. unacceptable and disgusting. Every camp and school my kids have ever been to, do not allow sleeping kids to be paired with children that are awake and playing or reading books that can be flung into the air and smash into my child's face while he's innocently sleeping. Your staff taking a whole weekend to inform me of what actually happened to my child, was not an accident. You need to review your policies and appropriate staffing in order to provide safety. You took my child's incident very lightly, despicable, coming from a child care service provider. I don't need your email address I know where to find it. As you said that day we are done discussing this. Do not down play my child's injury. My best decision was to remove them from your camp after they only attended it for three days ! read more

My three year old son was asked to leave after 17 days of school. Do not enroll your child here. Unprofessional and not a place of nurture.

If you're looking for an early childhood school (N-K), then Westbury Friends School is a good fit. I wouldn't consider anything beyond kindergarten. Students aren't challenged academically and WAY too much time is spent on community outreach programs. When my daughter made the jump to middle school two years ago, she was extremely unprepared for the experience, as were many of her classmates. Very little homework is given, making the jump to MS even more difficult. And now, with enrollment down every year at Westbury Friends School, they're even having a tough time holding on to teachers. There has been a tremendous turnover and the replacement teachers are not of the same quality as the teachers who have been there for many years. I guess business is business, and I don't blame them for leaving for greener pastures, but it's at the expense of the children. Again, my recommendation is NOT to stay beyond kindergarten. read more
