They are extremely safe regarding COVID at all grade levels and separate everyone into cohorts, so whenever there is exposure, we don't need to shut down the entire school. This entire school year, we have not yet had to stay at home due to COVID, which wasn't the case at the last school we enrolled our son in. As for his learning, his language has really exploded while being enrolled in the school. He has even started playing with other children so well and being interested in their activities, which I attribute to the great socialization at Buckley. My son loves going to school every morning. His teachers, Miss Susan and Miss April, are so wonderful and provide great updates on his progress as well as his classmates. The Buckley community as a whole is very welcoming and inclusive. Would definitely recommend!

Imagine sending your toddler to a place where the Director makes all these promises and in the…read moretoddlers class they have a two teachers, one of which has a masters degree in early childhood education and you as the parent connects with the teacher so well that decide to send your child there and everything is fine for 1-2 weeks and then that teacher quits. Then you find out 2 weeks later that they left and that the toddlers have a new teacher. So now you are pissed with the lack of communication and that fact that you feel like you were sold a dream, but you adjust and give the Director the benefit of the doubt. So now you finally get to have a conversation with the new teacher and you connect with her as well and she is great with communication and she sends home daily progress reports and arts and crafts that your child has done consistently and then that teacher leaves. Then you don't know or hear about it until you question the teacher directly about the daily progress reports that randomly stop coming. Then I hear it from the director a week later. So now two qualified amazing teachers leave this school in a TWO MONTH PERIOD and I am stuck with a babysitter who isn't educated in early childhood education or any education for that matter to watch my kid full-time with barely any help other than a floater. They are understaffed and unorganized. No offense to the older woman and the young girl who watches these kids but as a mother who was paying private school prices for two children, I should have gotten exactly what I paid for and was promised or else I could fly in my own family to watch my kids for less. My children spent 10 hours a day in that school and I had to ask for communication multiple times and for the things I was promised. My husband and I sat down with these people and addressed our concerns and they LITERALLY said they would do the things that were promised and did them after that meeting for only 3 whole days and they were back on their BS. Also this is a family owned private school which isn't an issue but the wife who is a director never once introduced her husband to us as someone who worked in the school, now this may not be an issue for some folks but for my family it is, we have two children of both sexes and honestly I want to know who has access to my children, I initially went to the school took a tour and was introduced to every teacher and not once was her husband's name brought up nor were we introduced or did I know that her husband worked at the school and at what capacity. I am a very involved parent and my son is 2 and doesn't speak and my daughter is 3, these are very impressionable ages and I can't trust everybody. I want to know at all times who has access to my kids period. My husband went to pick up the kids one day and he saw, the directors husband and he politely asked who he was and what was his title, the directors husband was short with my husband and my husband proceeded to ask the director the same question, the directors husband then belligerently yelled out the door of the school and said to not ask his wife any questions and to meet him at 6pm when he gets off work. The next day I get to the school with the kids and have a conversation with the director regarding the situation. She then doesn't apologize for her husband unprofessional behavior she justifies his behavior and proceeds to tell me that my son was not welcomed anymore to the school and that this was his last month. Now, my kid is 2, he has tempor tantrums he doesn't always follow directions but he's 2 and thats normal, he doesn't scratch or fight anyone, he doesn't bite anyone or spit on anyone, he does not act out of control by any means. There was even two incidents where two children scratched him and those kids weren't kicked out. I feel like my son was targeted because he has parents that actually care about what goes on while he is in there care. They did not want to be held accountable, they want your money, promise to be transparent and show you the complete opposite after you enroll. They don't even follow the protocols they set on their contract. The school is run down for what you pay, they have roaches according to what my 3 year old saw and they are unprofessional. So if I were you I would run in the other direction if you have a toddler, because this school does not care about toddlers who act like toddlers and I am so disappointed in this school to be called a Christian school, they are the complete opposite.

DO NOT trust a day care with little to no reviews. There's a reason for it…read more This place is terrible. Reviews 2-3 years ago don't apply today because this day care was recently taken over by new owners. They feed you lies about how they have attentive child care, have kids wear uniforms to pretend they are organized, meanwhile they take your money and have yours kid run around doing nothing all day. The place is dirty and run down. They purposely don't let parents come in to hide the dysfunctional care and blame in on Covid as an excuse. My child was potty trained very early and started regressing once she came to this day care. I asked her what's happening she told me she doesn't potty at school it's always crowded(kids actually playing by potty) and when she tells an adult they barely get up to help. Imagine your child in dirty diaper all day and cleaned up the last hour before you pick them up... Just 2 weeks in..., several teachers working there have quit the job there because they couldn't bare to stand the situation, that should've been my first sign. They charge for providing "care" but barely have the staff ratio of teacher to child to be able to do the right thing. Kids never get progress reports and after their first week of being there, and they stopped coming with any homework and others parents were complaining as well. Of course they say we will do it, but it never happened. The remaining staff that didn't quit are not so educated and can barely can keep up with the kids. To top it off the staff in charge is extremely unprofessional. Please do your research before wasting your time and money on scam day cares.

I graduated from this school in 2012 and I must say I had an amazing experience. The classes and grades were very small so the learning environment is very intimate which made it so much easier to learn. The teachers were all very wonderful and cared greatly for their students. I received a wonderful education that prepared me greatly for high school, and it was very obvious in high school that I and others that attended this school were much more prepared than students from other schools. We learned discipline and respect for one another. I received a wonderful religious education and would not trade it for anything so please disregard these other reviews, because they do not apply to the current status of this wonderful school.

With that said, my review is CURRENT! My daughter has been attending OLV (as we call it) this past year for their full day prek program. She absolutely loves it and it has been so good for her- not only socially (Never went to day care), but academically and spiritually. She is excelling at her letters and numbers (which since she wasn't in daycare I thought she might be behind). They learn about God and religion at the same time which I could not be happier. The kids are all very respectful. It's a nice small school with a community feel to it and everyone knows everyone. If My daughter is having a bad day, I can tell the office manager and she says she'll check up on her. You don't get that in a public school. And we actually live two blocks away from a public school but I felt it was too large and she would get lost in it. I don't regret my decision at all and as hard as it will be financially, we plan to keep her there till the end with 8th grade. Also want to mention their after school program is awesome. So flexible. I work from home so sometimes I can pick her up and sometimes I can't. I can call the school on the fly and put her in the after school program that day and I pay as I use it! A lot of other schools make you pay for set days with a monthly fee whether you use it or not. So please please don't go by reviews from eons ago and feel free to contact me if you want to talk about the school further! I'd be happy to help... because that's what parents at this school do for each other!
