This is definitly not the place to choose for prenatal. The staff here are very rude, prenatal visits should be stress free pleasant and exciting its too bad they make it the worst time ever. Some of the nurses are sweet and understanding but "way to go front desk you prepare people to be nasty to the next nurse that comes along"... The doctors are awesome but with staff like theirs who wants to come for another visit. Fist sonogram should be amazing and breath taking so much for the nasty nurse to ruin that for me...Find somewhere else to go ladies...Oh and FYI office space is limitted and therefore unless ur the first to get there dont count on a seat. read more

Well ladies, sisters, girls, mothers, senoritas, aunts...... Going to the OB-Gyn is probably one of those things we don't always talk about. Who wants to discuss the guy or the gal that does our check up in those **** special places. I feel like a teenager talking about this with so many people. I have been going to this place since I had my son, 3 years ago, a very long, complicated and scary time in my life. I have to say by far this place gets an A for appointments, great staff and courteous doctors. They are a group of doctors and you have a choice between a male or female. Rarely do I go into a doctor or dentist office that I am giving a choice. I recently needed to schedule my appointment, called on a Thursday got an appointment on Tuesday. read more

Been going to this OBGYN for some time now. The wait time can be ridiculous sometimes and other times I am in and out. Like a previous reviewer said, it can get crowded and seating is limited. In terms of prenatal care you are seen by a different doctor or PA each time you go, which doesn't really allow you to build the type of relationship you may want with your doctor during a pregnancy. I personally don't like to be seen by the physician assistants because I think they are a little cold. I don't care for the newer doctors either. I am towards the end of my pregnancy and am considering changing OB GYN because I don't feel like my concerns are being taken into account, which goes back to the doctors not really knowing me or my history since I see a different one each visit. I prefer to be seen by Sconzo, Fitzgerald, or Miller. The nurses change often except for a couple that have been there for years. I don't think I've ever had an issue with any as they are all very professional and polite. The front desk staff are nice for the most part. This office is now located at 1250 Waters Place. I went there for prenatal care and eventually found out that I was going to miscarry. Doctor recommended a d&c which I agreed to do. Couldn't get an appointment until 3 weeks later and when I explained to the receptionist the situation voice trembling with unshed tears I got no compassion and was told I had to wait. This is an extremely stressful and emotional time and they have treated me horrible. I will not go back to this place! read more

When they were still at their prior location on Pelham Pkwy I loved to come there! They were very hospitable and friendly. They had a small but memorable group of doctors on staff. Now there are so many physicians assistance I can't keep track of who's who. And god forbid you try to see one of the doctors, that's a all day event! But now they opened a new site and it seems their clientele has become too overwhelming. I spend no less than 2 hours waiting! And that's with a appointment! I called to make an appointment and the woman was very nasty and short with me. Upon arrival for my appointment the waiting room was at capacity (as usual). I saw that I was not going to be able to pick up my kids on time. I advised the nurse that I would not be able to stay for the appointment for the reasons I stated before. You would expect, correct me if I'm wrong, to at least be asked would you like to reschedule. Nope! The nurse picked up the sign in sheet and said "is this you?" I answered yes and she crossed my name out and went back to her paperwork and did not say another word! Now I don't know about you but I'm sure manners are required for a job when you work with the public. 11 years and two kids later I have finally had it with this place. I've been seeing by this facility for over 20 years, since I was a teenager. In the early 1990's I found out that my best friend was using them too. We both seeing these specialists for over 2 decades...great friendly caring people. The doctors really put in quality care and they are very concern about your needs. I recommend this place highly, and give them 5 stars! read more

I made a recommendation to my girlfriend because she was hesitant to go. We made an appointment together for this morning - 9 AM and 9:30 AM. After over an hour wait, I was called in. 25 minutes later when I returned to the waiting room, my girlfriend was still waiting. Many woman were called and we continued to wait. When she approached the receptionist to inquire what the delay was - she was basically told they were running behind and it would take another 10 minutes. After 25 more minutes of waiting, I went to the reception desk to complain. They did not apologize, they did not call her right away but instead called 5 other women inside. This is not the way to conduct business. There is no reason to make a 9:30 appointment and still be waiting at 11:30 AM as though your business does not matter!! Customer Service is a major key to any business ... they are severely lacking. read more

The 5 stars because the doctors are great but nurses over the phone are very rude I will let them know next time I go to app. Because I shouldn't change my gyn just because of that so I will speak in regards to that they move so the space is much better now and nice too . read more

I've been going to this practice for 5 years mainly, the quality of service has grossly deteriorated. In the beginning I felt the doctors were caring and took time to listen and answer to your needs and not rush you as if you are on a production line. The front end staff was also nicer and have remain nice for the most part. The practice is oversaturated, the wait time is ridiculous, and having to wait 3 hours to see your (you don't have one doctor it's a group practice as per the office manager-) doctor especially when you are a working person seems counterproductive. There are two doctors in the practice that are genuinely caring and have excellent bedside manners, the others I could care less for. The NP's and nursing assistant are constantly changing. "you know things are bad when you have to remind the tech to get the baby's heart rate". High turnover rate. Forget it if you need to change your appointment, you might have to wait 2 weeks, even if you are high risk. Doctors do not return patient calls if you have question. The high risk practice and coordinator is lacking professional and seems too laisse fare in her approach. The office manager, is curt and is lacking basic patient engagement skills. If you can stay away from this practice especially for pre-natal care do so, please carefully consider your options. read more

In search of a OB-GYN group in the Bronx and Westchester area, I stumbled across the Westchester Bronx OB-GYN Group located at 1250 Waters Place. My appointment was scheduled for 1:45pm. I called to let them know that I was running behind schedule and would be 15 minutes late. They told me it wasn't a problem and I could keep my existing appointment. When I arrived at 2:00pm, they asked me to fill out new patient forms. No problem, that's customary. After an hour later I was still in the waiting area. I told myself that if I was not seen by 3:30pm, I would leave. They called me at 3:24pm. When escorted to the back, I was told that there was one patient ahead of me. At this point, I shared my frustration with the nurse and told her that I was moments away from leaving and that if time management was an indicator of patient care, this was not the right practice for me. She then rushed me in a room where I waited for an additional 5 minutes before I was ushered into an examining room. I had an appointment with Dr. Sconzo, but was passed off to a Physician Assistant instead. I was told she was quick and she would get me out fast. Unfortunately, that wasn't my goal. I wanted a consultation. There were things that I was looking for in a OB-GYN group. My husband and I are considering having another child and I was looking to establish a relationship with a group before pregnancy. I like to plan ahead, so I wanted to know how this practice handles prenatal care and deliveries. They rushed me, had very poor bedside manners and were unapologetic about their long wait time. I don not recommend this practice and I will continue to look for a OB-GYN group that suits my needs. I advise you to do the same. read more
