Dr. Rogova has been my primary care physician for over 14 years. She is an absolutely amazing doctor! I recall my first visit to her office during a time that I experienced the sudden death of my fiancé. During our initial consultation, I broke down and started crying. She immediately came across her desk, sat down hugged and comforted me and listened to my story, although her office was full of patients. She has been that kind of caring, responsive person in every single visit that I have had with her. I have found her care of my health to be excellent and very thorough. She takes her time to explain, various tests results and solutions to improve my health, including medication, diet and emotional well being like yoga. She has followed up with me personally at the end of her day to further explain and discuss something more to assist with my health. She always returns my call same day if I leave a message for her. Many places preach holistic approach to medicine, but Dr. Rogova is one of the few who actually practice it. As a patient for many years, I have benefitted greatly from her exceptional skills as a diagnostician, and her in-depth knowledge of western and non-traditional medicine. She combines excellent bedside manners with a sharp medical mind, and is always up to date on the latest treatments. And she really cares about her patients, going to bat for them to get a timely appointment with a specialist or for a medical procedure when necessary. I have been somewhat puzzled by the negative reviews, most of which appear to be tainted by personal bias and emphasis on non-consequential factors. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Rogova for over 20 years. She is dedicated, efficient, compassionate and really cares about her patients. She has gone above and beyond to make sure we are properly cared for whether its checking up on us after business hours, having her assistants follow up with us after our visits or coming to the hospital to check in on us. She's flexible and very thorough to make sure she misses nothing. Her diagnoses and medical treatment have always been on-point, so much so that specialists she has referred us to have been in complete agreement with her care. After reading the two "recommended" reviews I almost cancelled my appt. Ultimately decided not to because of convenient logistics. Well, I don't know what these negative reviewers were smoking when they decided to write their reviews. I was very favorably impressed by the doctor. She is very professional, spent almost an hour with me on my first visit, and after the doctor ordered lab results came back, she identified a few chronic ailments that I have been suffering from. I have had the symptoms for a while, but none of my prior doctors paid much attention to them. Maybe some people prefer to be treated by their doctor as a number on a conveyor line. I am not one of them. My health is important to me, and I like my doctor to remember my name and my ailments when I come in, and to speak to me instead of typing something into his/her ipad or laptop. I left the Montefiore Medical Group in Riverdale because each visit lasted fifteen minutes: three spent on me and twelve on the computer. Dr. Rogova practices face-to-face, hands-on medicine. I was interviewed and examined on my first visit, which lasted over two hours. It was very thorough. There is no substitute for that, and there is no such thing as "too thorough" as Yelper Gloria complains. I recommended Dr. Rogova to an elderly friend who has a chronic illness.
