I had a blast at my first Westchester Knicks game at the Westchester county center in white plains which is walking distances from my crib (not walking ). The Westchester Knicks are a minor league team affiliated with the New York Knicks but since it's beginning only one player has made it to the Knicks and it was a short stay .Took my godson to also his first game and he loved it as well, ticket prices are under 60 bucks for the best seats and the place holds about 5000 seats which means , anywhere you sit , you will have a great view of the court and all the action .Most players will play overseas or for a foreign league which is not the NBA but most can make a good living playing overseas . Concession prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and helpful including the county security. If you can't make a visit to see the Knicks at the garden , a visit to white plains for the Westchester Knicks is second best . read more

Watched the Westchester Knicks play at Total Mortgage Arena. It was such a fun game against the Long Island Nets. It was our first time watching and there are some solid players for sure. The hype people at the game edge fun for the kids. The was incredibly close up until the last second making for an edge of your seat game. Unfortunately the arena did not have many fans. The Westchester Knicks are the New York Knicks' NBA G League affiliate. The team was established in 2014. While not even 10 years old, the Knicks aren't among the rapidly-expanding G League's newest teams. There are over a dozen teams newer than the Knicks, from the College Park Skyhawks in Atlanta to the Greensboro Swarm in the Piedmont Triad. As of 2019, the Knicks have been managed by New York Knick great, Allan Houston. Houston also works in the New York Knicks front office as "Vice President, Player Leadership & Development." With 2014-15 as their first season, the Westchester Knicks don't have a whole lot of history. They have managed to make the playoffs three out of six seasons (excluding 2019-20 when there were no playoffs due to the COVID-19 pandemic). The Knicks won the Atlantic Division in 2018. Notable players for the team include Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Giannis' brother), Trey Burke, Festus Ezeli (2015 NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors), Jimmer Fredette, Langston Galloway, Courtney Lee, Gary Neal, and Joakim Noah. As a Georgia Tech fan, I note that Gani Lawal once suited up for Westchester. Several former North Carolina players have also played for Westchester such as Marcus Ginyard, Isaiah Hicks, and Theo Pinson. Pinson played high school ball in my hometown of High Point, NC. The Knicks play in the old (opened 1930) 5,000-seat Westchester County Center in the New York suburbs. The County Center is anywhere from a 45 to 90-minute drive from Madison Square Garden, depending on traffic. For a short period of time (2018-2019), the County Center was also home to the WNBA's New York Liberty. The current coach of the Knicks is former assistant Derrick Alston. In 2019, he took over the team from Mike Miller (probably not the Mike Miller you're thinking of who played in the NBA). Alston also worked as an assistant under Kevin McHale (2012-2015) when McHale was head coach of the Houston Rockets (2011-2015). read more

Let's start with the biggest problem. Getting into the game is a joke. Security is PAINFULLLLLLLLY slow and operate as if they get paid by how few people they can check in. It doesn't help that people are generally pretty stupid and don't have their bags open until it's their turn to be checked. There are no announcements being made to tell people that no food is allowed in - or to have their bags open. Something that simple would help the process. Also - County Center - it's time to open some side entrances and ease the lines in the front. That's the bad. Thankfully the good outweighs the bad. There's not a bad seat in the place and the seats up close are very reasonable in price. On average I'd say most NBA teams middle of the pack and down bring up players from the G-League so the athleticism is there. The play is another story. Sometimes it can be sloppy - but that's what makes these games fun - trying to figure out who has a shot at making the NBA. The concession stands at the County Center are OK. Prices are reasonable but the selection is minimal...and the lines are always long and slow. Bathrooms are large and always clean. It's not the Garden but I'm OK with that. I'll take being able to sit close to the action and not having to deal with getting into NYC. read more

A gem to have so close to home! All the seats offer an excellent view of the game. I've been to 2 games and sat on the lower level where you can see the size of the players and hear what the coaches are saying. Its a fun night out with reasonable prices for food and drinks. This is especially a fun place to take your kids. They keep you entertained during time outs with the Westchester Knicks dance team as well as games and giveaways. What an absolute sh*tshow! Honestly the folks who work here are absolute clown shoes. We missed the entire first quarter just trying to get in while half of the jack-offs in suits stood there with their thumbs in their @ss. The game was great and the seats were awesome. Been to a few games here and generally enjoy it. It's very family friendly and the quality of play is decent. The concessions are good and reasonably priced including a decent beer selection. The building has been very warm each time I've been there and the security to get in is painfully slow. Despite these negatives it's worth a night out here once or twice a year particularly if you have kids who are interested. read more
